    "The Cathedral is empty. It's dark. And it's raining outside." Perfect.
    When you demonstrate such wonderful sounds and then turn wordlessly to the camera, as if to say: 'There are no words." .... That's because there are no words. Thanks once again, Paul.

    That's one of the most powerful sounding instruments I have ever heard. Wow! Would love to hear it in live performance.

    Paul, I love these demonstrations as they help to further educate me in the instrument, and become more familiar with a variety of stops. I also enjoy so much watching you, as you so clearly love what you are doing. This is not new to anyone who is familiar with you, but it is a reiteration of your joy as you experience a different and amazing instrument. Thank you, Paul!

    The powerful sound of the large cathedral organ and the 32-foot Contra Bombarde impressed me. The grandeur and detail of the organ perfectly blend in with the powerful sound of the organ, providing me with an intense auditory experience.
    Listening to this organ sound makes you feel like you're in a historic cathedral. Your technical capabilities and vast sounds from the organ combine to allow the listener to experience a sense of transcending time and space.
    The organ sound of St Anastasia Cathedral showcases dramatic beauty. The dynamic expression of the organ and your commentary are very useful.

    What a wonderful German organ ! Very strong and powerful modern instrument. The Diapason chorus is fantastic as well as a complete chorus of flute sounds. Nice reeds . The organ appears to be very versatile as it should play well all the Baroque literature as well as Romantic and modern.. Thank you for this beautiful demonstration. You are very fortunate to be able to play a concert here.

    I missed this one, until now; bravo! I didn't know that Eisenbarth was still building organs, but this one sounds impressive. (I know about their Passau Dom organ, of course.) BTW, confusingly, Americans call a pedal that turns stops on & off gradually a "crescendo pedal". Another fine demo! 😁🐧

    Lieber Paul! Advent sendet dir Steffen.

    The power of that 32' Bombarde is unreal. It is unusual to find one with that much power...reminds me of the Cavaille-Coll contra bombardes.

    That 32' heard live would put the fear of ALL the Gods in you.
    Also, is it just me or, does this organ just sound menacing? Even the softer stops sound angry at the world.

    Pleas, what is the name of the piece in the beginning?

  • @RossEMP
    @RossEMP ปีที่แล้ว

    Quite often, the crescendo pedal you see on an organ looks just like a normal swell pedal. The type that you show here is the type that you roll with your foot. In English we call them the same as you do in German: Rollschweller, since they are more typical in German styled organs.

  • @davesandler448
    @davesandler448 ปีที่แล้ว

    Please please please include a link to the specification of the organ when you make a video like this. We want to see the names of the stops and so forth. Thank you.

  • @WilliamGaskarth
    @WilliamGaskarth ปีที่แล้ว +1

    We just call it a crescendo pedal in English. It is of course, in German style, a roller.
    Some organists are not a fan of it. I think it should be used sparingly.

    Will you be one of my best friends? I would like that you do the 15 prayers of Saint Brigid, in one of the promises it is said that they will put you in the choir of angels. There are some prayers that are said for 12 years, and others for a full year. You should not miss a single day so that it has the benefit in your soul.

    "Crescendo" is English for "Crescendo." :->
    Or "Kreschendo." Lol
