Thanks for the recommendation on the second hand book store. Does anyone have any other recs in London? I much prefer to buy second hand as good value for money.
@kawaiikitty4569 yes absolutely please ungatekeep the good second hand bookstores in London 👇🏼
Was sent this way by Benjamin Green and soooo pleased he gave you a shout out. I’m so looking forward to heading to all the content you’ve put up and whatever comes next.
I recently thrifted Lord of the Flies for 1 dollar and 2 for I know why the caged bird sings. I'm so proud of this I'll take this to my grave
@legaspinaomiannieverc.5180 I really want to pick up I know why the caged bird sings! I’ve read lord of the flies and didn’t have the best time or maybe I picked it up too early and my brain couldn’t handle it! Let me know your thoughts on those 2 books 💚
I like to think of buying used/second hand books as rescuing them and rehoming them 😅
@justheathers exactly
ross… you flatter me too much what the heck😭 so honored to be mentioned🫶🫶 we should def discuss checkout-19 when you read :)
@kailienatsu i am in awe of your videos 💌 i might pick it up this May, have you started it? The writing is… something else
@@rosscoroniai’ve started it! i think i’ll finish sometime this month. writing is deffo interesting.. we shall see! 👀
hi Ross! heartbreaks are tough - taking on new hobbies & reading has definitely kept me busy and happy during my own heartbreak. Nevertheless, your book haul is full of GEMS, so that's something to be excited about :)
And - the book i can't believe i thrifted is Fernando Pessoa's The Book of Disquiet! I think it was only around $5.00 USD!!
@moodzstay hello thank you 😸 wow I really want to read the book of disquiet i’ve only heard great things
I think my favorite thrift find was my copy of the bluest eye-I got it for a dollar!!
@DogEaredMusings I love your username :))) what a bargain! Toni Morrison is a potential favourite author, can’t wait to read more from her.
"Three Summers" by Margarita Liberaki is one of my favourite novels of all time and is also in the Penguin European writers collection, I highly recommend it (especially in the summer)!
@literaryleila going straight to my summer tbr! thank you i’m excited to pick it up 💓
ross I am absolutely obsessed with your channel. I'm loving the laptop vibe lately as well.
I could listen to you for hours. amazing selection. impossible to leave a Claire-Louise Bennett alone anywhere ....
@@benjaminjournal thank you so much Ben 💚 can't wait to pickup Checkout 19! You might be getting a bunch of notifs from me for posting comments on your recent video + instagram and community post here on youtube, apologies. But no amount of words can describe how much of a comfort your videos have been to me.
i really enjoyed anna karenina! levin and kitty were my favorite characters. i got a beautiful copy of east of eden for just $2 and it was in perfect condition.

i remember finding Yoshimoto's Kitchen just fine, but excited to look at her other works for this year. i've got Amrita on deck.
to this day i can't believe i got this huge monograph of James Dean photos for $2 at a library sale. it's the perfect coffee table book!
@nathansnook thank you so much, we love a bargain! your bookshelves tour inspired me to pick up more art-coffee table books, because I tend to not browse in that section 😅 i’m so so excited to read Yoshimoto’s writing, I have a feeling i’m going to love her, I might read all the ones I own this coming May. 💚
Now THAT's a great stack of books! 😎📚👍
@mildrumpus right?! can't blame me for buying them 😼

I am a major thrifter of books like I think 90% of my collection is thrifted lol so I really had some great ones
But just this year I bought a hardcover in good condition of Goldfinch by Donna Tartt for only 250php or 3.55 pounds!!
@Bentiladore I love a good bargain, would love to see your collection! 🫶🏼
Recently purchased Anna Karenina and was like 😱 no don’t spoil it lol
