Man, you're so lucky to have thrift stores near you with good book selections. We have awful selection at our one goodwill. I need to try some of the other thrift stores, but they're quite small.
I am extremely lucky! There are times that I go though and there isn’t nearly as great of a selection, it can be very hit or miss still. But I’m lucky to have a few only miles apart so I can stop at more than one at a time! Also, sometimes the small stores are the best! We have another thrift store around and I’ve gotten such an amazing selection for the cheapest prices. I had about 5 books for .25 a piece and they were all very popular titles! So definitely check out the small ones!😊
@@dayswiththedoyles i did! i got the girl on the train (which i'm loving so far) and a book by toni morrison for 99 cents a piece! total steal. plan on going thrifting again to celebrate my birthday coming up lol
@mmabel222 that is a steal! I also really enjoyed The Girl on the Train!🤩 I had to read a Toni Morrison book in college and I don’t remember too much about it now but would love to pick up her books again some day!🥰
I’m sorry you don’t have them, these are the main reason I’m able to have the collection I do! Are there other ways you’re able to purchase secondhand books?
@emmymills7575 ooohh how awesome is that! I actually went to school for psychology & went on to grad school and studying counseling. I am in now way artsy, but was able to see the work art therapists do and loved learning about it!😊
I'm so impressed by people who manage to film bookshelves in thrift stores. Thank you for letting us vicariously book-shop! Would that I could transport myself there for: 01:25 : South of Superior! on my TBR, I love all of Airgood's other books. 03:15 The Distance From Me To You, a great upper-YA about the Appalachian Trail. Thank you for pulling out The Four Winds right at the end because I really wanted to know what the mass market w/ the horse on the spine was -- rude awakening on the latter when I looked it up on Goodreads to find a quintessential 80s shirtless-dude romance, lol (Firefly, by Stef Ann Holm)
Oh I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I love doing it because I love watching these types of videos! 🥰 and ahh I haven’t heard of either of those so I’m going to look them up and keep an eye out next time I go! And hahaha you’re welcome! 😊
Mary Kay Andrews is a good author. I have read all her books a lot of people call her queen of summer reads. For cozy mysteries have you ever read AR Winters, Tonya Kappes, CeeCee James you may like these. Kristin Hannah is a amazing author! Happy reading 📚 😊
I’ll have to try out a Mary Kay Andrews book! I have read Tonya Kappes and I really enjoy her writing! I haven’t heard of the other two authors, but I’m definitely going to look into them. Kristin Hannah I would say is my favorite author of all time! Her stories and characters are just absolutely amazing!🤩
I discovered your channel through this video. I love book thrifting! (I have a Thrifting Challenge on my channel, if you are interested.) Happy Reading! 😎📚👍
