Octopath Traveler 2 - Extra Battles True Vide fight in 9 minutes (trimmed some idle time)

- Sorry for no show build/set up. They are really complex to explain in text/1 page and need to improvise during the fight due to inconsistent turn orders.
Somehow, I had wrote some explainations in the clip. Please see roles as below;
Phase 1
- Hikari (physical damage dealer and divine protection caster,1HP build)
- Partitio (dancer's divine skill caster and breaker)
- Ochette (breaker and debuff caster)
- Any dancer (for stimulate act order, increase attack buff)
Phase 2
- Temenos (for 9,999 HP team and buff elem def)
- Agnea the Inventor (dancer's divine skill caster, tentacles breaker)
- Any cleric but Castti's concoction is the best.
- Throne' (physical damage dealer, equip Fang of Ferocity and Finisher's claws)
I think this is the hardest boss in JRPG for me.
Can you share the support skill and equipment setups you had for this fight?
As I mentioned, it's quiet long and complex. But I can summarize as below;
1. Damage dealer
1.1 Support skills
- Deal more damage
- Peak performance (for dmg dealer who doesn't have Alpione's Amulet) , need full hp or exceed to activate
- Price of power (for magic user, non for this clip)
1.2 Equipments
- Max Atk to 999 (including weapon)
- Raise potency weapons (physic = Battled-test Blades and Giant Club (there is only 1 Giant Club in OT2 that's why Hikari is scholar in order to equip it) , other element you can find in google.
- [Accessory-A] Alpione's Amulet need 1 HP to use it (as you can see Hikari 1 hp).
- [A] Fang of Ferocity (Throne')
- [A] Finisher Claw (Throne') , need critical scope (inventor's skill) to maximize this [A] power
2. Overall
phase 1
- Support skill: A step ahead to all 4
- All travelers must have HP over 5K, that's all
phase 2
- no need A step ahead (no pre-turn by default)
- Except dmg dealer try to maximum element def

Nice, I had a similar setup. I used a Step Ahead on the first battle to do the same with hikari and his invincibility, but also killed all the souls cause i gave him aelfrics, meaning that I had an extra turn where i wouldnt have to worry about Vide damaging me. On the second turn because one vine has perma dodge i used temenos at 1hp to nuke them down, but not before giving everyone 10k hp as well and giving everyone rise again. Vide and Vide the wicked are by far the most difficult fights in the game cause unlike galdera you can only use 1 or 2 strategies to beat it.
Yeah, True Vide need Temenos' prayer of plenty and Hilaki Divine Protection for def kamikezex4, no other way.
But True Vide the Wicked we can adjust some step.
I was waiting for someone to post a video on beating this damn boss. Well done. I was using the same idea in Phase 1 with Hikari but unable to make it work. Do you know if there is any prize for beating these extra battles or just bragging rights?
Just bragging 😂, this took me 10+ hours for developing strategies.
Prize is you will get unlock battle 4 (that you can guess - True Vide (The Wicked).
You get a new decorated logo on the start screen

I make Agnea uses Elemental Bomb with his LP but it doesn't work... Why? I mean it don't reduce any shields at all..
@@octocattraveler You need to see enemy's element weakness to reduce shield.
If see all 100% weakness = 2,4,6,8 hits (0/1/2/3 BP boost).
Solution is to bring Osvald , Scholar to see weakness 1st.
Keep fight or get beaten and come back for next are up to you.
@@arawit69Solution 2 is to use castti dangerous concoction with all 3 elements and diffusing serum, by the way how do you make agnea have another turn after elemental bomb bottle?
