True Vide Fight - Octopath Traveler 2 Extra Battles

- Random OT2 update out of nowhere dropped 4 extremely challenging and cool postgame fights. Truly peak game.
Anyways, imo this and the fourth fight in the extra battles are the hardest fights in the game. They really went all out with the difficulty.
I decided to go back and record how I cleared it, though this attempt was quite scuffed at some points.
The team I used, for anyone curious:
Team 1:
Temenos - Merchant
Equipped skills: A Step Ahead, The Show Goes On, Boost-Start, Hang Tough
Castti - Dancer
Equipped skills: A Step Ahead, The Show Goes On, Boost-Start, Hang Tough
Hikari - Cleric
Equipped skills: A Step Ahead, Hang Tough, Deal More Damage, Peak Performance
Important learned skills: Divine Protection, Limb from Limb
Accessories: Finisher Claws, Champion's Belt
Weapons: Battle-Tested Blade, Giant's Club
Agnea - Merchant
Equipped skills: A Step Ahead, The Show Goes On, Hang Tough, Inner Strength
Team 2:
Ochette - Armsmaster
Equipped skills: Hang Tough, Deal More Damage, Peak Performance, Upgraded Accessories
Important captured beasts: Chubby Cait, any 2 hit axe
Accessories: Eye of Calamity, Fang of Ferocity
Weapons: Lionheart's Axe
Throné - Cleric
Equipped skills: Hang Tough, The Show Goes On, Deal More Damage, Hale and Hearty
Partitio - Dancer
Equipped skills: The Show Goes On, Hang Tough, BP Regen, Deal More Damage
Osvald - Merchant
Equipped skills: SP Saver, Hang Tough, BP Regen, Deal More Damage
Phase 2 is very luck dependant due to the Chubby Cait thing. Even if you have to use revives, if you manage to kill the tentacles and break Vide BEFORE the "1 Turn remains" message, you've basically won the fight.

About the thumbnail, you have to be fair, if octopath 1 had an update like octopath 2, galdera would be the hardest boss by far, even rivaling bosses from the gacha probably. I mean, if Vide was such an easy boss and now is extremly difficult, imagine how difficult an updated octopath 1 galdera would be

Golders is easy even without amulet / Hikari. IIRC vide never dispels buffs, so you could just make your entire overbuffed with everything. Castti’s existence makes vide easy.
@@Misha4em The cast of OT2 is too OP. The balance ones are Agnea, Patitio. The barely balance ones are Temenos, Osvald, Hikari. Ochette with the updated monster system can break anything. Castti can BP boost the whole team. Throné 2 moves gives many utilities.
@@MoonMillenniummon TBH, I felt Osvald, Hikary and Temenos are weak af when I played the campaign. Also Agnia + inventor is op too
It took me 2 days to beat True Vide the wicked, nasty nasty super boss
