Sell price is 100
Markup from left to right 20%
Markup from right(base selling price)to left is 25%.
Why do we need caculate in both ways??????

Mark-up is calculate as increase in percent amount. 80 to 100 is not 20%. It is 20/80 x 100 = 25%

If markup 20%and sell price is 100 then cost price will be 100/1.2=83.33

Just show how to find markup(formula).then you say we have selling price which is 100.likewise we have cost price80 ok then c-s/c×100 then evey think will be under stood
