Dennis Rodman was rebounds king for 7 straight years. He won 2 rings with the Pistons and 3 rings with the Bulls. No doubt a Hall of Famer.

Rodman did it his way and I respect that very much because most people then and now are too worried about what other people think to live their lives to the fullest.....No doubt in my mind he was an integral part of those last 3 championships.

Rodman was 2nd best player on Bull's roster. He's super-human, stronger than Ben Wallace or LeBron (but not Wilt). There's a clip out there with Karl Malone falling down backwards with ball. Rodman latched onto the ball while Malone pulled back, landed on hardwood. Rodman pulled Malone up and flipped him over, slamming mailman back on the floor, dishing ball off for a fast-break. He could have been MVP in that Jazz series

@J B Just re-read your blather, realize you are stuck on stats, in need of another verbal beatdown. You can only see the four sides to the box you are in. Rodman was never a stat guy-other than 5 X NBA Champ and 6'7" rebound king for 7 straight years. He might be the best defender of all time-even if your top-100 guy Pippin earned some accolades for defense. Rodman was only about winning games in April, May, June and no player displayed more intangibles and funky hair than the dude with the piercings. Why else would Phil and GOAT let him run off to Vegas for a vacation during season and playoffs? Rodman was that good. He made an enormous difference in the win-loss column. He took opposing team's best big-men out of the game-got them kicked out!
Maybe you weren't alive, watching NBA in the 80's-90's. Bummer! Or maybe you are thick, blind or resentful of guys who go against the grain, date women like Madonna and Carmen Electra. I was there, went to 20-25 games every year, sized up the best players in real life, stuck to NBA Playoffs every year like a magnet. You need to watch some film. Watch some Rodman playoff film on TH-cam. Ask a smart person. You'll see. He was bank, clearly more valuable to the Bulls than either Pippin or Kukoc-maybe combined. Kinda' hard to like if you weren't rooting for his team. I was a Nuggets fan in Denver. Rodman played to win, was pure genius and strength, with springboard legs and tough as nails-even in his wedding dress. Jordan hammered and took issue with every player on his team-except Dennis Rodman. Why was that?

I'm actually a little surprised at his intelligent answers. I grew up thinking of him as the "worm". But this is why he will never be a permanent commentator, look at 9:57, in the topic of "winning"
"you ever go out with a girl and you hate her guts, but she can only satisfy you in one way?"
They were pretty smart to cut him off before he described rape in graphic detail. In the background you can hear multiple people say "no comment", because they don't want to show up in the newspaper headlines the next day. So I'm also not surprised at un-intelligent answer and bringing up his rape case on his own, when everyone already forgot about it.

LeBron knew he would have wasted his career staying at the Cavs as it was. By leaving, he acknowledged to himself that he couldn't have won all on his own.
The moment he left the Cavs, the GOAT debate was done. Waved the white flag. He left in despair, because he didn't want to be this talented, and kept coming up short.
The subsequent meltdowns in Finals series adds further proof. That's not to say he isn't a fantastic talent. He is.
He just isn't on MJs level, and anyone who watched ball during both eras will instinctively understand the difference. Today's stars would have gotten rag-dolled by the past's alphadawgs.
LeBron has impressive size/power/speed combination, but could he have gotten past Anthony Mason/Patrick Ewing? David Robinson? Hakeem Olajuwon? Rodman/Pippen would have strangled his production. Karl Malone/Stockton would have given him a run. Jordan beat them all.
In today's shoot first era, MJ could easily average 40+ in his sleep, on his mid-range game alone. Can any of LeBron's teams defeat MJ consistently?
      Nope.

Jordan never screamed “we are too heavy” in asking for “help”. Jordan went to battle with whatever he had. Jordan never “decided” he wanted to win a particular award in a season. Jordan wanted to do everything as hard as he could. None of this year I want to win the steals title etc. he wanted to dominate on offense and defense and to win. He is the most talented player on offense for all his teams so why wouldn’t he shoot the ball?

The Worm was one of my favorite players growing up. I was so happy when he went to the Bulls because I knew Jordan was the only guy who could keep him focused and keep him at his best.
That being said, even with this clip being 3 years old, everything Dennis said about the guys in the league today still holds true.
There is no loyalty. Damian Lillard is the exception to that cause he never wanted to leave Portland and go form super teams etc. He wanted to bring Portland a title and retire a Blazer, but in typical Portland fashion, they screwed up and traded him to the Bucks.
Guys make tons of money, they don’t want to play, let alone play competitive. It’s all about shooting three pointers all game or sitting out cause you stubbed your toe the night before.
