It reminds me of Natalie Wood; always terrified of water; then ends up drowning. Everyone knows the last thing you want to do is panic. Becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy. I don't know why she reminded me of that, except, not only did her brain check out, she had that impulse to jump into water while in that state.

No, seriously, her fear of drowning and subsequent death by drowning has terrified me since I was a kid.
Bryce giving away things like his Xbox to his friend, is significant. Often, people who are going to commit suicide give away items to friends and family before doing so. Him taking all that time to go home was likely because he was going back and forth about killing himself.

100%. I’ve seen and studied people with suicidal ideations and they often seem quiet, conflicted and their behaviors may be a bit erratic (not in an obvious or overt way)
Ok... But where's his body? It's not like he could've hidden himself after he did it. They dredged the pond. They searched near the car. How does he off himself then hides? Or how did he plan it so meticulously that he would never been found? This case, Maura Murray and every other case where s*icide is suspected, but no body is found never sits well with me.
OH dear GOD..I literally gasped when I saw the picture of the dad of the Phillips family. I have never seen a head shaped so strange before in my life. He was definitely a character you wouldn't soon forget.

Hannah Upp is the person/case I always reference when explaining the baffling existence of the disorder currently known as Dissociative Fugue. Like, truly nobody knows how or why, but usually they disappear/reappear in/near bodies of water. Fugue sufferers often have "traveled" extremely large distances with zero memory/recollection of whatever they did following their disappearance. Steven Kubacki comes to mind as the other extremely odd case of what was very likely an episode of extreme Dissociative Fugue. For all we know about this disorder - we know basically nothing except for the fact that it exists. This has got to be one of, if not THE strangest mental illnesses/disorders that we currently know of, imo.

I'm baffled by the fact that in USA a person showing clear signs of psychic problems is repeatedly nominate to take care of children?! What if she had an episode during the class, or a trip, or if she became dangerous not only for herself like when she was in the bay? ..maybe an office job in the school was better for her?
@agostinodublino1387 sometimes it comes down to testimonials. If people around and close to them are clueless, ignorant or just plain "simple" it could cause a lot of wrecklesness in their decision making about said person having this mental illness.
What triggers a fugue state?
Fugue states appear suddenly and spontaneously. They are usually caused by severe trauma, including childhood abuse, rape or sexual assault, severe car accidents or other types of accidents, natural disasters, exposure to military combat, torture, and genocide.
I don’t want to cast any aspersions on Aisha’s family, but a ten year old girl scare of thunder and the dark packing a bag and running off into a thunderstorm at midnight reminds me of a lot of very familiar stories. That’s something abused kids do. If she was being abused, who would tell us that? Her abusers? No. They’d say “we don’t know why she did this, she had such a happy life here.”
Yes, something does not add up. And with another girl's belongings and photo with her bag makes you wonder if it was a ring involved or the same person serially.

When people start giving away possessions like Bryce did, that's potentially a huge red flag that a person is preparing to kill themselves.
Where's his body? How does one meticulously plan their end with no body being ever found? They dredged the pond. They searched everywhere. It's almost impossible that a stationary body is never ever uncovered. Unless he had another vehicle to drive and did it miles away. But it's not likely.
asha degree was not far from me. i remember it. something very odd was: her relatives were on tv like the next day saying the situation was 'hopeless'. who gives up that quick? killed by kinfolk

Unexpectedly losing a loved one would be bad enough. But the NOT KNOWING esp as a parent…has got to be its own perpetually unresolved limbo hell on Earth.

I was just thinking the same. Especially when children disappear and parents have to live without knowing. I believe that is the hardest and the worst thing that can happen to someone. I send prayers to all parents who have to experience that "hell on earth" ❤ 🙏🙏🙏 I wish they all receive answers and closure and be able to bring their children home.😢😢
When I was little , around 8 years old, my brother (9 at the time, we also shared a room ) used to bully me and make fun of me so bad that I also prepared a little bag with my things and had decided to leave . My parents never thought my brother was a bully , they just saw it as “kids being kids” , but I was determined to walk away if he was mean to me again , and in fact I did but I was found ten minutes later . Had I gone missing , and had my parents been asked if home life was good , they would have said absolutely, without knowing how I really felt on the inside . Perhaps something similar happened to Aisha , except that this time something really bad happened to her after she left .
I’m not saying this was the case but she sounds like a very sensitive child , and maybe something minor affected her more than what her parents knew or she let show . Poor baby .

I know things to a 9 year old that are major can be trivial to an adult but I still feel it was much worse than just trivial to us for that act of completing running away...🤔
The Bryce Laspisa story drives me crazy each time I hear it. I wish his parents would've just driven to him after he kept acting strangely and wasn't driving home himself, but I guess you just never expect this kind of thing to happen. I wonder what really was going on with him or if he's still out there somewhere. I hope his family can get some sort of closure someday.

My question is: they found bones but DNA showed they didn't belong to Bryce. So who the heck did they belong to?
Sounds like someone grabbed him and tried to hide the car. Parents should have just have gone to him.
Everything known points at him being suicidal, I'm afraid.
I will never understand why his parents did'nt drive to him.Something was obviously wrong.l'm sure it's the biggest regret of their lives.Very sad.
Update on Thomas: he's back in the news in NZ. Reappeared over the last day or two and dragged one of the kids, most likely the oldest one, along to join in his destructive behaviour. CCTV have footage of him and his child. But still not found. Go figure.

@___Alina___24 he doesn't seem very well mentally at all. I've seen first hand how parental alienation can cause serious trauma and those kids are going to need a fair bit of therapy when they are found. On top of family therapy with their mum to rebuild the bond that's been lost while away.

Could very easily have been stress induced... it could also be something else. A dysfunctional on and off lover or drug abuse come to mind.

With Asha Degree I feel like whatever she was running from in that home was scarier to her than the storms and dark that she was scared of as well. I still wonder about the dads story.

She's young, sweet, and respectful. I always felt like she made a promise to someone. To whom it was will always be the question for me. She must've really trusted that person... family or school
I don't know why but the moment it was mentioned that there was a picture of a girl found in that shed along with things that might be Asha's... I immediately thought she had a pen pal. Maybe someone pretending to be another little girl, who convinced her to run away. And then hearing they had no internet at home, I just had this gut feeling that she was communicating with someone through the mail
i live in charlotte nc. i remember when this took place. the candy wrapper was from her classroom valentines party. the family was on tv the next day & said the situation was hopeless. i knew then& there they were guilty. nobody gives up that quick

Two things: One - Hannah in the first case most likely died in the hurricane. It's not unusual to not find a body in a storm like that. She could have easily been dragged out to sea. And two, the father in the second case looks like Brain from Pinky and the Brain

Hannah kept winding up lost during fugue states and recollecting herself while submerged in water -and she took a job on an island?! I'd have chosen a job in Arizona!
Then she'd be stuck in the fugue state forever if water is what fixes it.

All of these are crazy but the Brittany thing is absolutely horrifying. Poor girl is probably on the run…her whole family against her, she probably had no choice but to run… I hope she’s not dead… I hope none of these ppl are dead… The world is so weird

The sad part about Daniel Robinson is that he disappeared the same time as the young woman Gabby Petito (sp?), and the family was trying to get his name out to find him, but news stations were focused on the young ladies disappearance they wouldn't pick up his story.
Unfortunately, that happened with numerous cases.

Yeah, there were many cases that didn't get the attention they deserved, even her own parents at one point appealed to media that while they are extremely grateful for the coverage, because it might help, there are other cases and other families going through same thing. Not so long ago Adrian from Coffeehouse Crime covered two cases "overshadowed" (for lack of a better word) by Gabby's disappearance.
Asha’s billboard is right beside an old cemetery and I used to have to walk by it at work (railroad tracks). It always made me fee uneasy.
The picture of the girl that they found while looking for Asha...wtf. She looks so similar to Asha; they could be twins. Absolutely baffling, creepy, and disturbing. And to this day, not a single person has came forward and said "yeah, thats a picture of me" or "that's a picture of my daughter, niece, sister, cousin, best friend, etc". Radio silence. No one knows apparently. Hmm...
I’m from Mobile, Alabama. Britney Wood’s case is absolutely horrible. That whole family is sick and you could do a whole hour long video on that case and still not cover it all. You’re absolutely right about it being some True Detective type stuff. A friend of mine served on the jury of one of the uncles. He said it only took them 5 minutes to convict and that he along with other grown men on the jury were weeping from hearing the monstrous things done to the children. They were all offered counseling following the trial.
That's a real shame. It's horrible how abusers tend to create damage that ripples out from them, and even spans into generations long after they are gone.
I watched a documentary on this case, and the mother of Brittney was being interviewed and defended Donnie. she was getting boatloads of people accusing the mother of all kinds of terrible things. It must be something going on in Alabama that these weird things keep happening.

@@paranormalwarrior5193 I subscribe to the streaming service, Peacock, and they had a 3-part documentary on the Brittney Wood story. I think I watched it about a year and a half ago. I think it was first shown on the Oxygen Network. It might be found on On Demand from your T.V. provider. It was really in-depth, and pretty horrifying that a family could be involved in something like that. Donnie was a real POS.

First case: Hannah probably was suffered from dissociative disorder. And when hurricane hit, it was very stressful (like before when she must go to the first day on job) for her and activated her disorder

She sounds like she was definitely mentally ill and something about that time of year spun her into some kind of psychosis or episode of mania possibly. Very bizarre but even I have trouble with the changing of the seasons and fall is always my hardest time of the year- that and when we transition to winter also. I get super depressed and want to stay in bed for days and let the world go on without me for awhile. Nothing as serious as what she went through but it is very hard on me and my family when I go into those depressive episodes and just want the world to be put on pause for me.
That's what I was already thinking when he said she had been seen walking around like normal but then didn't remember anything. And then when he said the disappearances all happened around the same time of year it made me think that's probably it. I wonder if it wasn't necessarily the stress but some traumatic event that her brain dissociated around certain anniversaries of to keep her from remembering it or getting too upset by. I'm sure the stress made it worse though. Like if the stress of starting a new teaching job or the hurricane was too much on top of the stress of the anniversary then the brain would just be like "nope, not this year". Could have also been why she seemed "robotic" the last time; She wasn't giving one-word answers cuz she was already having the problem but because those were her natural sad emotions anyway towards whatever event made her upset every year so her mind was too preoccupied to talk to anyone
That makes sense. Would be interesting to know if she talked to anyone about “lost time”.. or past trauma.
Either way, she was dealing with something serious. Very tragic story.
I met my husband in SoCal and I’m from NorCal, so we drive up and down 5 all the time to visit family and every time I think of Bryce and wonder what happened to him.
That Hanna one sounds like a retrograde amnesia attack. My mom had one of those once, she looped the same conversation with me most of an afternoon and tried to find keys for a car we no longer owned to go “somewhere” but she couldn’t definitively tell me where.
If I hadn’t been with her at the time, I kind of wonder what would have happened.
Apparently that can just randomly happen to you if have the right genetics and/or if you over stress about something you can’t affect.
Damn worrying when it does happen though.
Unfortunately I could imagine Britney was killed and then they attempted to frame her for the uncles death in an attempt to close the investigation that was going on. :/

I was about to type pretty much this.
No, that's not how it happened. I was FB friends with people who knew the family so I started getting posts about it pretty much immediately. My sister went to elementary school with Britney's aunt Wendy, the one who was married to Donnie, and was friends with her on FB though they hadn't spoken in many years and we didn't really know any of them personally. Posts about Britney being missing were started well before Donnie was found and after the rest started coming out, the assumption was that he had killed Britney (how he came to have her gun or that maybe he'd had it awhile. She'd bought it for herself but it wouldn't have been out of the question for her to keep it at their place or in his vehicle) and then later either shot himself (the gunshot was behind his ear, not really on the back of his head) or his wife had shot him. This was because he had an appointment to talk to police just like a half hour later about all the shit they had been doing. As far as I know, not one person ever thought she killed him- not friends or family, not strangers on the internet, not police. It is believed, though, that it's possible she went to police herself about the lifetime of abuse (all the young generation had been a used sexually since childhood by the older ones and they were all late teens/early 20s by then) because he or some of the others might have been trying to get her daughter involved and she finally decided to spill.
I'd like to point out that apparently this had started many, many years before, maybe even when Britney's aunts were kids. See, her aunt Wendy and Wendy's twin sister were adopted as kids- by the Holland family. Their son was Donnie and he was a good number of years older than the twins. My sister remembers Wendy as being "odd" but also that she got married as a young teen to Donnie, who she thinks was already at least in his late 20s by then, maybe a bit older. So the abuse started even before those women were adults and just kept going and spreading, dragging other people into it as they'd meet folks, have kids, etc. I know what people think of the part of the country I'm from but in reality, this was something that stood out as horrible to everyone because it's not something that is normal there (or anywhere, obviously but people seem to believe Alabama is incest from border to border. It isn't). And this was no backwoods, 1 stoplight town- this happened in the 3rd largest city in the state. But we're all still hoping to find Britney at some point. She, nor any of the others, deserved this shit.

Everyone of these cases is truly heart breaking. The emotional torture the families must go through is something I pray I never will. Thank you Mike for highlighting these cases. You never know, someone watching this may have information. They are all someone's child. I pray their families will get answers.
Thank you for covering a New Zealand case! The whole leave him be attitude that always comes out when this story hits the media again winds me up so much, no one knows what those kids are going or have gone through. My Dad lives in the area and this winter was bloody rough 😕 my gut says we wont see all the kids again.

It’s really,really horrible knowing that her own mother and brother were active participants in this sick group.

It might not really have been premeditated. When you are harmed that deeply you might be able to convince yourself that you can handle being around the monster(s) who hurt you but be in denial about how much it affects you. It would be hellish to live in such close proximity to all of those abusers.
witness protection i bet. she probably testified to bring down the ring and went into the witness protection program. thats what i'm hoping anyway
I can think of several possible scenarios:
1) She killed him and ran off, now in hiding
2) She killed him, and has killed herself somewhere else
3) They were both separately murdered by somebody else, using her gun
4) Witness protection

My grandfather went missing. Before I was born. My dads father. The family rumor is that he owed some mafia money and was either killed or just disappeared. No one has heard or seen him since like the late 80s. I always wondered what happened to him. It affecting my dad pretty bad not having a father growing up and made him an awful father himself . He’s an addict and still is to this day. I feel so bad for the families of people who have close missing loved ones like children or parents. I can only imagine the pain they have to endure not knowing where there family member is. Especially when it’s children or even someone’s adult child. I hope these families get closure😢
That last one was really sad. I hope her daughter is okay and hasn’t suffered at the hands of any of those people.

This always got me too. He wasn’t that far from home. I would have driven through rush-hour traffic to get to my kid. Especially, if my kid was showing signs of being suicidal like Bryce was. I will never understand why his parents didn’t just go to him. If they could afford to live in a house in Laguna Niguel, they had money to drive to him. Smh
Same here. His odd behavior went on for hours and hours and even days, yet they stayed home. If I remember correctly, they were only 2-3 hours away and knew exactly where he was.

It almost seemed to me like he was hoping they would drive out to meet him, given how lethargically he approached his journey home and how he stayed in nearly the same place various authority figures visited after he knew his parents knew how to reach him.
Yea this story has really haunted me ever since I heard it. The fact that they supposedly even talked to him on the phone a few times throughout that ridiculous length of time yet STILL didn't do anything is utterly baffling. I don't want to say "things don't add up" because I don't think the parents were involved in any way, but they were seriously negligent here.

I was a sleep walker at a very young age, my Mom thought she heard our front door open & close late one night, after hearing it again over an hour later she woke up my Dad & he heard our door close so he gets his hunting rifle, headed to our living room & as he held the rifle up, my Mom turned on the light & they both realized in that moment it was me… I only remember waking up the next morning wondering why I had dirty feet, my Mom explained what had happened the night before, she said she asked me where I’d been & I told her I was going to my friends house across the street to see if she could play~ I had No memory of any part of it, my Dad was completely shaken, even tho my sisters & I thought it was funny my Mom made it clear that my Dad almost shot me !! I was 8 years old! Luckily I outgrew sleep walking & my Mom put a chain on our front door high enough so I couldn’t reach it, the older I got the more I realized how scared it had made my parents (especially after I had my 1st child) I never found out if I’d actually been to my friends house, did I knock on their door?? Asha made me immediately think of sleep walking, especially her being afraid of the dark (plus it was storming) who knows if she thought she was going to a place she’s familiar with & did someone think she was “an intruder breaking in”?? Or like Mike said, an opportunity for someone who took her? I pray her family gets some information of what happened to her 🙏🏼💔

She was definitely groomed to leave.. or she wanted an adventure? Have anyone looked what books she was reading or what were her favorite fairytales or tv shows? Maybe she wanted to recreate her favorite story..? But her bag found tells me her adventure ended poorly.. 😢
This is honestly the first I’ve heard of it. My first impression is she was with an older girl. Maybe 10 years older or so. I was only a couple months older than her. I’m very familiar with childhood in the ‘90s. The picture found wasn’t likely from the ‘90s. The style is much more ‘80s. It was found with stuff believed to be Asha’s. Then the NKOTB sleep shirt. If Asha was born in 1990, NKOTB had well faded out of popularity by the time she would have fit that sleep shirt. That belonged to someone else. It could be argued that she was alone because she was the only one the driver saw, BUT she was terrified of the woods AND terrified of strangers. It would be totally plausible that whoever was with her chose to walk in the woods to stay hidden, but Asha didn’t want to walk in the woods because she was scared, so she walked on the side of the road. When she was approached, I don’t believe she just ran into the woods. I believe she ran TO SOMEBODY.
I'm from New Zealand and this case is beyond ridiculous. No one can understand how he hasn't been found yet. Those poor babies out there. It's a control thing for him. He's not thinking of those babies just himself. I'm thinking there is a cave system somewhere that only he knows of. But someone is definitely helping the fool. 🥺
Yeah its concerning and worrying for the kids. Don't care about him. I wouldn't call it a scary mystery. He has a motive and he has assistance. What I think is a scary mystery in NZ is the stepdad and his step son whose car was found off the cliff but no bodies were discovered.

Thank you for your kindness towards families like mine…I was my family and friends missing person… it’s awful, terrifying and honestly feels violating… I’ve gone missing many times from a few days to a few weeks… the last time was 6mths. Until recently when I started getting my teeth fixed I had no idea where I’d go, who id go with, why I’d go, what I’d be doing, nothing… I didn’t even know why the dentist visits were unlocking the memories.

I have had a few instances of not remembering things - completely due to my own fault, so there’s very little comparison to your story there, but still. It alarmed me to no end to think that I had been walking around, functioning (mostly), making decisions and having conversations and not knowing about any of it afterwards. It was always a period of hours, and still disturbed me profoundly. I cannot imagine going missing for months and not knowing what caused it or where you were sleeping, how you were eating, who you were with, etc. for all that time.
And I also can’t imagine how potentially upsetting it might be to then remember it after struggling with that. Like, if it were me, I think I’d want to know - but it’s not hard for me to believe that I might wish otherwise once I actually did know…

That first case about Hannah Upp has baffled me! Never heard of a case like this one before. For her to go missing 3 times in 4yr gaps, around the same time of year and appearing near/going missing near bodies of water is beyond bizarre. It’s a shame that whatever was happening with Hannah wasn’t discovered before she went missing that 3rd and final time. Maybe if it had something could have been done to prevent it from happening. But it sounds like a very odd situation.

I have a family member who is a 911 dispatcher in Ontario, Canada. There were not only hoops and hurdles to jump through but also extensive training and testing.
After seeing this video, I completely understand why it was all necessary.

I lived about 45 minutes from where Asha disappeared. I don't believe she left the home alive. I believe the "sightings" were people wanting to help so much, but didn't know what to do. I remember that night. It was one of the worst storms we had in the area. I just don't believe a child that afraid of storms would've went out in it.
Good chance she was sleepwalking. Explains why she grabbed her schoolbag and was seen walking alone in the rain, she wasn't herself so she wouldn't have cared about the storm. Sleepwalking can make you do crazy things

@@tannerb1527 hmm.. I don’t know. The suggestion was that she had already packed a bag, since no one heard her do it. And while that’s certainly not definite, there was the person who reported her running off into the woods when they stopped. If true, that wouldn’t fit. I have done some pretty complex tasks while sleepwalking, but they’re mostly automatic type stuff - avoiding obstacles, closing doors, etc.
The thing that disturbed me most about that one though was that her family had taught her to be so afraid of strangers. That, to me, fits in very well with an abusive dynamic - if you trust no one, there’s no one to tell. It’s not an uncommon tactic, and is often used on kids who are experiencing abuse specifically. It also creates an “us vs. them” mentality between the family and the world, which is effectively used against victims of abuse as well.
I’m not saying there is zero reason to teach your kid stranger danger. I’m just saying it seems like a sketchy extreme. Who knows.

I’ve heard the strangest things about this. The families got really close in the aftermath and suddenly turned on each other. So *something* happened… Also, that the FBI confirmed they know who did it but it would jeopardize a larger case. That kinda tracks but I guess these are just rumors until proven otherwise. Eh, if a vehicle goes missing completely 99% of the time its underwater somewhere. Given the large amounts of waterways in the area it's the most likely.
And even if something has been dredged it doesn't mean much, its very very easy to miss a vehicle underwater and plenty of vehicles are found in areas that had been searched many times.

Asha’s story really stood out to me. Someone had suggested that the shirt was in fact one of those stretchy nightgowns that were popular back at that time. That made a lot of sense to me. What if it had been given to her by the person who abducted her? The theory that she had been groomed seems really plausible to me. Hers is such a heartbreaking and tragic story and I hope they keep working on finding out what happened to her.
Prolly someone in the church posing as a good faithful Christian. Especially considering that was the last place they were at before she disappeared, it sounds likely the abductor(s) went up to her that night and told her he would take her to the beach, Disneyland, shopping, or some other exciting place; and instructed her to meet him somewhere. The backpack was prolly unplanned (meaning he wasn’t expecting her to bring it), and once he noticed she brought it he knew he had to dispose of it. But he was scared that his DNA was on it, so he tried to make it look like it was someone else’s backpack by putting a different shirt in there with another kids picture so authorities would quickly rule it as being the kid in the photo’s backpack.

Bryce's story has always been so haunting to me. I truly hope he is okay and doing well somewhere out there. But his case is so strange and so crazy. It's sad. I feel horrible for his parents. I wonder if somebody was after him or if he was having a mental breakdown and made some bad choices. Idk but I always think of Bryce's story , every now and again and pray that he is okay and that he is found one day.
I’ve always thought Bryce was more likely to be in a manic episode, not a depressive one. Manic episodes cause a bombardment of rapid, irrational, and erratic thoughts that can actually be negative. If he was abusing vyvanse, he’s way more likely to have a manic episode. Either way I feel sorry for him, I can sympathise with his headspace at the time he disappeared. I hope he’s found peace one way or another.

This one haunts me as well. My daughter is nine and I can't imagine her keeping secret this midnight adventure. The police thought that she might have left to meet someone. What would entice a nine year old to go out into a dark and stormy night, carrying possessions that only a nine year old would give importance to.

I've been bothered by Asha's disappearance for a long time. I have a theory (well two versions of one theory) on what happened to her. It revolves around the photo of the other little girl found with her stuff. I think Asha was made to think that the other little girl was her pen pal. When I had pen pals we would send each other our school photos. Now this could be a real child or an adult posing as a child. Also, if it was a real child, the child could have a parent who was an abuser or an offender. I think Asha thought she was going to help another child and they had a meeting spot picked out. When Asha got there, it wasn't a child but an adult and they took her and probably killed her.

I would like to kindly recommend scearching Det. Ken Mains on TY his take on her case. It's interesting to see how a cold case Det. takes possibilities of what might have happened and eliminates them into Probabilities based off the victim, evidence at hand ect.

It could be that, or that the killer put the picture there to throw the investigators off (to make them think it was another kids backpack so they wont test it for DNA). Also explains the unknown shirt… Looks like someone was trying to stage the scene to make it look like the backpack wasn’t hers.
That, or the backpack wasn’t actually hers. This was back in 2000, they didn’t have a wide selection of backpacks back then. It was extremely common for ppl to have the same backpack, so its very possible it wasn’t even hers at all.

Bryce's case sounds like it was due to stimulant abuse (the Vyvanse he was taking), likely causing him not to sleep for days on end, which likely brought on delusions and paranoia, eventually possibly leading to psychosis. Could've crashed during the microsleep phases people that have stayed up for so long on stimulants get and possibly experienced drug-induced psychosis, may have wandered off believing he knew where he was or something. Really sad. It does explain his odd behavior leading up to all of this as well. Anyone have any other theories on his case?
I know everyone is different but I was on the highest dose of Vyvanse they prescribe and was still able to sleep. I wonder how long she took it for.
Your theory seems likely. I think the only mystery surrounding Bryce, is where did he go/ where is his body?
I do believe the drug induced psychosis for sure (also explains why he broke up w his gf and gave his brand new Xbox away). To me all the signs point to suicide and that he was hesitating & scared/nervous during the hours leading up, but eventually went through with it. I think the car crash was staged to make it look like he accidentally crashed & drowned, but he really went somewhere else to kill himself.
I actually work in Buttonwillow (the town he was in before he disappeared), and wanted to point out that its barley even a town, its more of a rest stop area consisting of only a few gas stations surrounded by hundreds & thousands of miles of desert terrain and mountains. So if you were to walk away from the main road you would perish into the hot desert within a day or two, and would get eaten by a pack of coyotes or mountain lions. It’s a very odd choice of suicide method, but it is one that would work quickly as it gets well over 100 degrees out here, and no one could survive the heat without water for more than a day or two. He either died from the heat then got eaten by animals, or just straight up got eaten alive. Either way, very sad.

I think he got phycosis or something and couldent cope the whole scent to the truck stop makes me feel he staged his death so he could run away and start a new life because he wasent thinking straight on the medication he was on

I think Mike looks good with the style of glasses he wears, he is a stud with or without the glasses but I think the glasses give him a classy look. His presentation needs no work as it is near perfect as it is.
Why wouldn't he feel comfy?? I also had a lase😢 surgery and finally get rid of my glasses after almost 20yrs. It wasn't uncomfortable at all
He said in a video earlier that he was weaning off the glasses for the sake of his audience, because his audience is so used to him with the glasses. He's just such a caring guy 😁

Her parents had nothing to do with her disappearance. The cops have been adamant about that, since there's no evidence (circumstantial or direct) and no motive (they were known to be great parents).

@@SILSAL67witness testimony is notoriously unreliable. Lots of folks straight up lie just so they can be part of things. I’m not saying they did or didn’t, just that unconfirmed sightings shouldn’t be the end all be all.

Edit: I know you’ve covered hundreds even thousands of cases. I love this kind of format of like 5-7 random crazy dissapearance cases. You cover them way better than like any “Top 5 disappearances” From random TH-camrs.
That Daniel robinson case is super weird. I do find that a psychotic break is plausible considering proof came out that he was stalking that girl. BUT the fact that forensics proved his car was moved after the initial crash into the ravine to look like that was the spot of the only crash. And that it was tried to be turned over like 30+ times. Just super bizarre

Daniel Robinson's case is particularly of interest to me as I live in the Sonoran desert. I am so baffled at what could have happened to him that they haven't found his remains yet. I know the desert is huge, but there's only so far someone can make it without a car out there.

Unfortunately, as is often the case with missing persons cases, I don't think the investigation will go anywhere unless/until they find her body, or if, by some miracle, she is found alive.
I've heard a few times now that remains were found when searching but they were not for the person who they were looking for. I always think.. Well who was that?! It would be interesting to make a video about other people discovered when searching for a missing person. 🤔

I'm from New Zealand and that family are definitely getting help. Also it may have been his daughter with him at the bank robbery. So sad for these kids missing out on schooling and living in hiding.
Very sad. And so selfish. I feel so bad for everyone who loves and misses those kids. Unforgivable.
To me something seems off with the kids. I would think someone would have spot them at some point.
