I immediately knew it as soon as you played the first 911 call
you could hear that was a cry of remorseful regret
You could hear that he was already regretting that he killed his wife or soon to be ex-wife
But it was definitely a cry of remorse filed regret
because he’s a dummy and took it too far
But it’s definitely had that fake tone but not completely fake
It’s more of regret
But has a fake tone to it because it’s not the right kind of cry for what He’s supposedly supposed to be going through
If it was true to his story that is
I love your voice. It makes me always listen to the end. Thanks Mike for your choices of stories.

That detective calling him out for fake crying was hilarious.
Someone had to say. That was almost as painful as the 911 call.

I love the interrogator "it's so obvious... you're not a good liar. You've faked cried about this womans death since we made contact." Amazing
His acting & the fact that he thinks anyone would believe his crap is Embarrassing beyond belief!!!
For hours!
I feel like if they’d followed the Reid Technique of interrogation it might have worked better than an immediate direct confrontation. Built rapport, gently confront the inconsistencies, pose the alternative question and so forth.
People are more likely to shut down if you don’t establish rapport and then go in on confronting them.
At the same time, he deserved to be confronted with the evidence and it’s satisfying to see.
She’s a dreadful and ineffective interrogator. She just dives right in with the accusations immediately. She doesn’t even try to establish a rapport, doesn’t ask him for his version of events first to lock him into a lie, she doesn’t slowly introduce evidence over the course of the interrogation, etc. She just goes right for the jugular. And, predictably, he shuts down and ends up walking out of there free (temporarily).
Useless. Useless waste of everybody’s time.
Right 😂 I swear his fake cries are terrible
Him "crying" was the most painful thing I've had to listen to in a while.
I dont know how the dispatcher could keep from sniggering.
It's so bizarre watching sociopaths feign emotions that they are completely unfamiliar with naturally.
Right?! It also makes me sad because there really are people that don't see through it or realize they're being manipulated, like his victim(wife). Her family and friends saw him for what he was but unfortunately she didn't until too late.
Isn't this a psychopathy trait? Or does a lack of empathy/altruism occur in sociopaths as well?
True. It’s like “this must be how stupid humans with real feelings look to you…grrr”

That 911 call of his was excruciating. Having heard quite a few 911 calls now on this channel, I think I can say that was by far and away the most pathetic display of fake wailing I've heard to date!!
I was just listening rather than watching and when it started, I thought it was a siren. I didn’t even realize it was him

He’s like a man I dated years ago named Harold Henthorn. Became very creepy. He went on to marry an optometrist/surgeon. He pushed her off a Cliff in Colorado and he’s now serving life. Yea there’s a special place in hell for people like that smh so sad and pointless
Total psychopath. And not a very bright one, either. I could never show the patience required of interrogators when people like this staunchly maintain their ridiculous stories.

It’s better to be alone than let a monster ruin your life.
It's unfortunate that so many people are so lonely they don't recognize the red flags when a predator encounters them and decides to make them their next prey.
The problem is that the monster usually plays it off so well! 🥺😒😳soooooo well! ..and will have others under a sort of trance believing it as well! 😒sociopaths 🤮
It can be great being alone. Nothing less about it. You still are never alone.
If you value peace of mind, then being on your own is a lot better than what many people have to offer. Better, of course, to have a good partner, but that doesn't come to all of us. But we can keep the poison out of our lives.

Mike please look into the case of Kay-Alana Turner out of Texas from March 2023. She went missing out of Harris County after not sleeping for several nights and having an interaction with police. They busted her driver side window, and she fled from her car into the woods. No one has seen her since. It’s the holiday season, and her family is really hurting for answers. The sheriff has yet to speak with them, and release of body camera footage has been refused. I am local to her hometown, and everyone is asking where she went. Please help us 🧡

OMG I live in the other side of Beaumont and haven’t heard of this case!
Yes Please…Tell Her Story
I just watched an interview with the parents and friend she was staying with at the time. It does seem like that police interaction was entirely inappropriate, and I'm guessing the body cam would probably be embarrassing for them in hindsight... Knowing now that she was in a fragile state of mental health, and then bashing in her window. I hope she's okay and that those police learn to take a different approach.

What a sad ending for Shanti, a single mom who seemed like a genuinely good, hard working, trusting woman. Nowadays, I believe if you meet someone online, it is wise to do a thorough background check on them without letting them know. Also, while we don’t know exactly what happened the day Shanti lost her life to this sicko, no one, but particularly a woman, should ever let their spouse/partner know they are leaving them, for any reason, let alone something really scary like this guy was living (his double life, the financial lies, etc.) while still living under the same roof as the person you have decided to leave. Get out and get to a safe house. Then, either notify the person you’re leaving by phone call, or, better yet, let your attorney give notification. There’s no guarantee the person you’re leaving, particularly one as disturbed and duplicitous as this monster, won’t come after you, but it gives you a fighting chance. My heart aches for her son. R.I.P, lovely mother. 🙏
yeah, this kinda case is really bad and awful...not that any of these are typically nice stories at all
I mean imagine your spouse of like 5 years just isn't there when you get home one day and then CALLS you to tell you they're divorcing you. It just seems very cold and callous. Especially if you weren't abusive or anything.
But at the same time I totally understand your point.
@@TheRealEMURSE Well, I suppose there is really no totally pain-free way of notifying one’s spouse that you want a divorce, even under the best of circumstances. But, if you are leaving someone because they are control freaks, or abusive, or you find out they have been living a lie, etc., I think it’s best to get out before you tell them. It’s all about one’s safety.

This was MUCH better coverage than what 60 minutes had! Thanks Mike!
Hey Mike, thanks for the video. And what a case. From the moment he put the house in trust in his and his mother's name, that's a red flag. Why did Shanti agree to foot the money to renovate, when he was on and on about his wealth?? I mean, US$6m, 600k on a house, you don't have the means to fund the renovation that was YOUR idea?
Shanti's running her business from a one-bed on the property, while renovations are going on, and they are not because the one person whose idea it was is falling out with contractors, while NOT working. Then there's the ridiculous idea of having the renovations shown on TV, so a whole camera crew is involved. Shanti had enough, so did David.
Why did he kill her? She must have had a row with him, one of several, and showed she was leaving or taking action against him, meaning no more funding, and potentially losing the house he wanted so much. How killing her would solve the matter, well, that's David's thinking. Probably sell up the house at a loss, cashing in instead on Shanti's life insurance policies.
But thankfully, he was a lousy actor, with the injuries on Shanti not matching with the versions he came up with, partially or fully. Being the only person in the house, clearly he had to be at fault, and then coming up with the house being burgled, was laughable.
Her son and former husband were right, Tronnes is a parasite and is where he should be. And you were right too, Mike - the man had an appetite for bathhouses, he's got a whole main course coming up for life.

The book "Why does he do that?" Is a book that goes into the mentality and excuses for their abusers that keep victims trapped
Sameeeee, also, I’m sorry but his first wife…. 👀
OMG the life insurance bit had me laughing 😂 there's ALWAYS life insurance!
That poor little boy, my heart aches for him.
Love these videos. As a content creator, your dedication to consistency and quality is incredible.
The life insurance party is becoming one of my favorite parts of the show. I find myself dancing with you. Love the content, Mike. Take care.
Ha I knew it! As soon as Mike said she passed and David had no money...I knew the Life Insurance dance was coming. You never disappoint Mike!
His acting skills certainly leave a lot to be desired
“Cherry on top of a shit pie”😂😂 too funny Mike… and love the insurance dance too😂
Hey Mike! You are so consistent, I appreciate that so much!
Thanks so much! Really happy to be back to my regular schedule 😊
Stop stealing other people's content.@@ThatChapter
@@WhosWhointheZoo123almost all true crime youtubers have same content, but the delivery of them what counts, and Mike is one of the best
@user-rc4po9le3q what do you mean speak on it with facts don't just yell from across the street like a sissy now lol
@@WhosWhointheZoo123it’s not other people’s content. It’s a real life story that he is telling in his own words.
Mike's Rainbow 'Polaroid' shirt changed to rainbow 'That Chapter' shirt. I Love it!!!!
My walgreens is directly across the street from said "bath house". I think of this guy every time I see it
Narcissists are the worst. I hate that so many of these stories involve narcissists that have been enabled by everyone throughout their lives to the point they believe they can fool anyone. The people that enable them create a monster. That includes their victims.
I saw these behaviors in someone I was very close with and meeting their friends and family made clear why they were so manipulative and explosive when called out. No one ever told them "no" until I did and then I had a target on my back.

Absolutely right! The enablers are accomplices!
Just as guilty
Idk about diagnosing anyone from a true crime video or casual observations, but it shouldn’t surprise anyone that most crimes are the result of selfishness. Why else should society criminalize behavior except that it’s selfish and sacrifices the social contract for personal gain? This is part of why it fascinates us, because we all have to negotiate with society daily, but we don’t solve problems with killing like these folks try to do. Weird that it happens that some people do. I wonder why.
I showed up 7 minutes after posting and thought I was gonna be early and there are already 81 comments. Mike thank you so much for all your work and effort to get info out on these cases in a way that we love to watch! Keep up the awesome work!!
That's probably due to his patrons. I thought I was early, too.
Yeah, Patreon supporters get the content early.
I thought that at first but all the comments were in the last 5 minutes when I opened up to look and comment LOL 🤣
@@VioletJoyThe Patreon vids are unlisted on a different channel, the views here start at 0
@@chettajohnson5261 Oh that makes so much sense I was wondering why there weren't earlier comments! The more you know🌠
"Well, prison is like kinda one big bath house. Sooooo he can look forward to that!" Lmao, you got yourself a subscriber!
That was the worst closing argument I have ever heard given by a defense attorney! I would have honestly found the guy guilty just based off the closing argument alone.
I thought the same, he couldn't enunciate words and in that somehow I heard him communicate 'I don't believe him either'
Agreed! Utterly pathetic. ("At this point, I'm going to nervously try to flatter you into acquitting--a verdict that none of us seriously believes is appropriate.")
I don't know what he was trying to do there. Was he trying to use the power of suggestion to manifest a "spirited debate"? I doubt there was going to be very much debate at all, given the circumstances. It was a bizarre and out of pocket closing statement, unless there is some context that wasn't given in this video.
Worst closing argument *DELIBERATELY*
You've never seen the closing at the trial of Chandler Halderson then. It's a whooper.
Her son and ex husband's courtroom speech broke my heart!!! ❤❤❤❤💔🥺🥺. That poor kid has to live the rest of his life without his mother because of that "parasite" (as perfectly described by her ex husband). I hope the rest of his life in prison is haunted by the images of his horrendous actions. I absolutely DETEST narcissists!
The 911 call was painful to listen to...i actually felt embarrased for him!
LOVE the life insurance dance!! 😅😆- and Mike's personality!
This is why I love Mike. He has actual personality. It’s not some guy (or ai) being paid to read off a script, it’s this weird Irish dude that has all these quirks and mannerisms, makes it feel like it’s just a guy telling you a story.
The Life Insurance montage always makes my day that much better.
