Another quality vid with good content. I always appreciate your efforts in presenting good information. Guess I have to add the VT snorkels to my shopping list now. 😀 Keep it up brother! The more mods you add the more I add!
Great content! Those stock inlets that face up have been measured to be very restrictive. Removing them drops the intake vacuum from 9 to 4 inches as tested by a Stinger forum member using a mano meter. There was also testing by another member that showed great gains in the 1/4 mile by removing those and adding the VT snorkels with the stock air boxes. The question I have is which one makes the most difference. Anyways. I'm enjoying your channel! The VTs and Injens look awesome!
I believe it! That’s awesome, I can definitely tell a difference when dropping down to 3 gear and doing a pull, esp right now since it’s colder out here.
your video helped with install. I ran the wire through the firewall, so its right next to my brake snip switch. love the kit though, hope the LED's last .

Excellent Video! I have just recently bought a Stinger GT and I love it! been watching a heap of your videos thank you for your commitment to your channel. I do have a question about the Lights... Would it be possible to wire them up to the headlights so that they turn on when the headlights turn on? Thanks again for your content!
Just installed mine last week, did you ever figure anything out or downsides of the package they give you for the kit?(dead battery video didn’t give me warm and fuzzies) I’m looking at a custom lighting shop to do headlight work and underglow. Was thinking of having them integrate the Lit Kit into that circuit. Love your content man, if there is a go to for Stinger vids, it’s you!! Keep pumping them out!
Yes and yes, so I narrowed down what happened and I think it has to do with the app. If you leave the lit kit connected and disconnect the negative battery terminal to work on your car, it will auto turn on when you put the negative battery terminal back on and then the app will not shut the kit off until you manually unplug the lit kit under the hood. I’ve had a couple other people message me the same thing so I’m pretty sure that was it. I want to tap my power into the fuse box, I think that would eliminate it. If not it’s an app issue
@@twn2rbo Thanks for the info, definitely some weirdness with the app. Just wasn’t sure how much I trusted the grounding points, I’ll be tapping into the fuse box in the future for sure. Thanks for the reply broski!
@@twn2rbo hi I’m a little late to the party, but I was wondering if you ran an actual dual in line fuse instead of adding to the post of the starter on the car? I just installed the light kit on my scoops today and when I first hooked it up the lights would actually stay on and then I disconnected the battery and reconnected it, connected to the lights with the app and then clicked shut off in the app and then when I turned the car off, the lights were not on all the time anymore. I still use the switch to shut the circuit down, but I was wondering if I left the switch on and the LEDs were not on if there were stall a draw on the battery because it was hooked up to the starter post? I hope that makes sense. 😂 Thank you.
Your page is incredible man, great info. Thanks for sharing. Just picked up a 2023 gt2 awd, excited to see where i can take it. I'll be referencing your videos a lot 😅
You really should have done the MM intercooler since you were already in there. Anyways, I’ve been up and down about the snorkels for a few short months now. Seeing how they look along with how well they function, I’m now seriously considering them. Being that I am in central Florida I am for sure going to go with them as well as the MM intercooler as well.
Hey mate how are you, Love these and intend fitting some to my 22 GT. One question now you've had time to test in real world conditions: Water? Do the filter elements get wet from driving in rain, or say going through car wash. What checks are you doing routinely on the filter condition? Cheers from Straya, Ray
The headlights can be hard to video , they always show up a little different. But I agree, I want to change them up with some brighter LEDs close to a pure white
No tune needed on the intakes, but after I added a cat back with the intake, I did. It would go into limp mode all the time. The JB4 fixed that. Intakes only, no issues
At 6:05 in this video, you mention you like the concept of the "glow" and that it's not too bright... Does this mean that the non-glow or other colored scoop bodies that are available are brighter than the glow LEDs??
Good question, no the other ones will not glow on their own naturally like mine. They are just hard colored plastic but once you turn the lit kit on, they will be just as bright as mine. Mine are an off white glow plastic that charge with light which doesn’t drawl as much attention as a solid white air duct would. Tbh I don’t turn them on that often, I got them to lower the intake temps and cool off the engine bay. But when parked or showing people they love them. Sometimes I roll with the white LEDs turned on to match the DRLs
Regular. I ended up doing an update in a vid not long after and I was having an issue with the LEDs, it drained my batter over night and the app sucks, well it did at the time at least. Diode Dynamics is the software. They may have updated it since, but I never turns them on really bc it’s easy to forget you leave them on etc. I would do regular if I did it all over again, same performance just aesthetics change
Nope, I’ve made some IG posts and I know I put a clip in one of my TH-cam videos pulling over after heavy rain on interstate and cones have been dry every time. The only time people have issues with the cones getting wet is with heat extracting hoods. Injen makes hydro covers that hep with that, but totally separate issue
im just surprised by how many people got this and haven't had any sort of water ingestion. Like its an amazing product and concept because its are right to the box and filter, but at the same time the factory system seems like it keeps water and FOD out?
@@twn2rbo that's quite interesting, they were probably dry because of the gap still between the intake snorkels and the cone filter, if it was connected to the factory box still, it probably would have soaked a panel filter?

Have you noticed any overheating issues since you removed the shroud that directs air into the radiator?
I'm wondering about this as well. That's not a required step of the install, right? Can we leave it in and still use the snorkel(s)?

. It's time to change those tiny charge pipes. Bump it up to 3" And let some air flow through
