    I’m 68 and always dreamed of being able to do handstand, thank you for 30 day challenge, I’m on day 4 and already feeling much more confident and stronger. Amazing tutorial Natalie, you quickly became my favourite coach because it’s a whole body workout. I’m quite athletic but never was able to learn how to do handstands even though I could do headstand without any problems. Love the way you body moves! ❤️👌🙏🏻

      Hello Aleksandra :) great to see you here. Thank you for your feedback! Headstand and handstands are quite different in terms of the upper body strength and mobility you need. That's why it needs a specific type of training. Amazing that you are still so active at 68! Best wishes

    Hi Nat!! I'm back just to say thank you again!! After finishing the 30 day challenge a couple of months ago I kept training following this video. Today I've got like 4 seconds against the wall but without even touching it. Slowly Im getting it. As you say is all about constant practice, a little goes a long way. Didnt get my handplants on the skatepark yet but this is going to help with my overall balance skills for sure. Not only that: as I've got some wrist pain while training handstands I started to do some little calisthenics workouts to develop some more strenght. It solved my wrist problem but also changed my body completly and i'm so into it right know. I train almost every day and it just feels so good. It definetly has a big impact in my health and well being. I know its all about my own constance and hard work but your videos played a big role in my self improvement. So I'm forever grateful with you. All this content you share, full of wisdom and knowledge, has a big positive impact in many people. Definetly the world need more people like you. Thank you again!!

      Hello Martha, wave back to Amerika :) Yoga and handbalancing have very different approaches to training and the intensity of this can feel unfamiliar if you are new to handbalancing as a practice in itself.

    Thank you - this video really helped me! :-) I have been practicing HS for a while but am progressing quite slow because it actually scares the living shit out of me. Have never been doing HS as a child since I have always hated being upside down. So it has been quite "uphill" starting as an adult. My kick up HS (wall) was starting to get stable - meaning I could rely on being able to do it in each training session. But all of a sudden it completely disappeared and I had no idea why or how to get it back. But this video did the trick - and I will use it for a while now before I start working on my freestanding HS.

    • @NatalieReckert
      @NatalieReckert  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's great! I'm happy to hear that! Like life training is not linear or progressive. You get setbacks, but you won't loose what you have learned, it always comes back at some point.

    • @eaancher3702
      @eaancher3702 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Today i actually managed to freestand for a little while during the kick up exercises - I know it is not the purpose but it just happened and I am so happy because now freestanding HS all of a sudden does not seem so impossible for me to do some day in the future :-) This video really made helps me overcome my fear. Thank you so much again!

      Hello and thank you for sharing your experience. I usually recommend these variations with bent legs: th-cam.com/video/rnPuytrobMw/w-d-xo.html If you keep your body at a slight diagonal and keep the legs low on the wall, you will feel much safer. You can also only put one foot up on the wall and keep the other hovering above the floor.

      Hi, this video is for beginners who already have a handstand practice. If you are looking for exercises to prepare you for learning handstand you can check out this video here: th-cam.com/video/nrLUVJ4N20g/w-d-xo.html

    • @clray123
      @clray123 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've been practicing handstands for ~2 years and this still was too much in a single session... got stiff upper back for the next 3 days after.

    • @NatalieReckert
      @NatalieReckert  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Taking part in these video exercises is voluntary. You are always free to chose an easier practice routine. High intensity training is not suitable for everyone. It is good that you gave it a try. Well done.

    • @clray123
      @clray123 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure, I'm going to repeat this with a bit less intensity and watch if it gets better. Maybe I've overdone it a bit in the first attempt because I was trying to follow it with just the audio, so I may have started each exercise earlier than actually instructed.
      So at the end I was not able to keep good form (controlled lowering of legs) while finishing the handstands. Even the side planks in the beginning were taxing - I'm not used to doing side planks as they're for some reason not included in the primary yoga series I usually do.

    Hola Natalia!! Tu subes con mucha facilidad, la fuerza que se utiliza es la del abdomen?

    • @NatalieReckert
      @NatalieReckert  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it is core strength and upper body, also you need to round your back and push the shoulders out like here: th-cam.com/video/wgcR-6xJvAw/w-d-xo.html

    Wollte nur mal "DANKE" sagen für dieses ausgezeichnete Video! Grade weil es nur die wichtigsten Übungen sind ist es so wertvoll. Heute ist mein 10. Tag und ich bin total glücklich, wie weit ich schon gekommen bin. DANKE!

    Hallo Natalie, ich trainiere mit dir seid einen Monat und kann schon 6 sec frei stehen:-) Du hast mich motiviert in einem Jahr einen press HS zu schaffen (bin 63) ?? Es macht Freude mit dir, denn du bist ein Profi! Danke. Eva aus A

      Liebe Eva, vielen lieben Dank für deine netten Worte. Das freut mich sehr.
      6 Sekunden sind super, einen Press kannst du bestimmt schaffen!
      Schön, dass du weiterhin so motiviert bist neue Sachen zu lernen, folge deinen Wünschen und ignorier die Altersangabe im Reisepass ;)
      Viele Grüße aus London

    I love your video. Do you practice inversions during your menstrual cycle?

    • @NatalieReckert
      @NatalieReckert  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi Danielle, many people ask me that :) Yes, I do. You get used to it and it actually alleviates pain or unease, I find, because you are strengthening your core muscles.

      Thank you for your quick reply. I will be practicing all your handstand videos. I am aiming to do a handstand in the middle of the room by November.

      I find that my flow goes slower or even stops sometimes if I practice inversions during menstruation. I am aware of causing an ovarian cyst over time. It may be better to wait until you finish the flow to keep your body against gravity.

      Hi, I will be making more videos here in the future and also on a subscription based vimeo channel soon. One arm handstand workouts are definitely on the list.
