@@Donttalktomeifyoureabot I wouldn't say exactly, he brings his own style/tone, but it's refreshing to hear as AAL hasn't released anything new in awhile, not that it really matters.
He just gets more and more economical with his playing. At this point I think Tosin just kinda looks at the guitar like, "Do you even know who I am?" And the guitar is like, "Oh alright" and starts making noises.

I love how he always plays with a little smirk. Like he knows he's playing straight fire, but knows the next part is gonna be even more amazing.

@@chinor3999 not true. i went to the hella mega tour with weezer, falloutboy, and green day not too long ago. most of the people were dancing, jumping up and down, waving their hands in the air, etc.
it's more like you watch an Orchestra, you don't really react, you enjoy the piece of art, you are quiet, just listening and appreciating it.
imagine going to NAMM to see abasi perform but he plays only showing his back.

The best thing about this are his facial expressions. He`s just enjoying the hell out of playing his tunes.
I know a lot of people aren’t that keen on the shape of the Larada guitars (myself included) but it looks way more at home when held in that classical-esque position. Also having Tosin play it helps surely!

I think Tosin is an incredible modern guitarist, but it's far away from the accuracy of Mr. Pablo Gilberto... It's rare to see Paul makes a mistake. Probably Tosin does more complex things and goes over his limits.

To perform at NAMM must be the worst conditions, you have no privacy, you have people ALL around you, not just in front of you:) like 2 feet away! you have to rely on your mix, acoustics are not ideal, you can nail your performance, or you can get through it, either way, I give MASSIVE kudos to the legends who play there every year flawlessly despite what fans see. They are human as noted. Tosin isn't even playing his regular guitar but a new one off the demo stand. Just very cool indeed! \m/!

I remember seeing AAL in concert over a decade ago. It was the most mesmerizing show I've ever been to. You can't help but to watch and be in awe of Tosin as he absolutely kills it. There's something especially magical about it in person
I've been playing for a solid 15 years and this dude still blows me away with his technique and innovation. Tosin as a beast.

Geeze tosin will always be the man when it comes to pushing progressive metal in new directions, his sound production skills and tone are honestly insane and these tracks will live on forever in metal history.

seems like he might have an easier time with the pickup selector if it were positioned vertically instead of horizontally.
Yeah . One thing i dislike about that design too. I rather he put the volume one the bottom paul gilbert style and put the switch lower and with a bit more angle.

Interesting that, in an interview, Tosin's bandmate Javier (Reyes) said that if he could indulge in another career, that it would be as a "...spaceship pilot." That is what I am hearing in their compositions -- Space Flight. Interesting. I have seen all of Matt Garstka's videos featuring Eldar (Djangirov) and Henrik (Linder), which are phenomenal. Now imagine a SUPER BAND with all five of them...
