Thank you for a course like this. I have been slowly learning Hebrew for the last couple of years. The problem with the way its presented in most other places is its all in a grammar context. Awesome. Great teaching style. I love the way you approach this, not as disconnected but as an integral part of scripture. Teaching Hebrew in conjunction with the scripture makes this subject not so daunting and tedious as the normal sterile academic approach to learning when you're inundated with minutiae and not anchoring it to the subject. I most appreciate when you say that your passion is the scripture and the Hebrew language as a tool.

One of the hindrances that keeps me from seriously studying Biblical Hebrew is the actual application of it. My passion is also the scripture, the sole reason that I want to study it. I want to know whether the countless translations of the bible today reflect the real and original words of God. The question is: Where can we found the original Hebrew bible, is it existing? If it is, then it really makes sense to study Hebrew.
Er Andres the original Hebrew text is lost. It was transcribed into Greek, then back to Hebrew. This is the Hebrew text we have, with some backup from the Dead Sea scrolls, where there is remarkably little difference between our received text and those original scrolls. It makes sense to study Hebrew because some constructs do not exist in English. We miss the puns and double entendres and the original poetic rhythm. Lots of reasons. PS. The Hebrew uses both male and female references to God. For example!

ok so I really love these lessons....buuut...everytime I look at a new page it seems that everyone has there own version of the Hebrew alephbet and I look at this and there is still subtle variations to what is written in my torah. It just seems like there is no sure fire way to learn this language written or spoken that everyone can agree on . BibleInteract no there is not. That v sound pronunciation is new. There was no V sound in Anicent or biblical Hebrew. They v sound only came in to play to pronounce word from other language that have that sound in them.

It would be clearer to highlight the word you are reading each time so we know which word you are reading and be able to follow. Also maybe if we can see you side by side the words, with you pointing to the words, we can follow your pronunciation, because, for example, I wasn’t sure if ABRAHAM was pronounced AVRAHAM in Hebrew, but if I saw you pronounce it, I would have been able to make it out. Mariya Well, first, his name was commonly known as Yeshua, not "Yahshua." He has the same name as Joshua, which in Hebrew is "Yehoshua." Jesus spoke Aramaic, like most other Judeans in the first century. In Aramaic, his name is "YESHUA." That's why we call him by his Aramaic name usually because it's a translation from Hebrew which was a dead language in the first century. Hebrew was only spoken to read the Tanakh; other than that, Aramaic dominated the Judean land. Anyway, the Greeks saw the word "Yeshua" and encountered some issues. It was an Aramaic name, and Greek is not Aramaic… obviously; one is Indo-European and one is Semitic. The Greeks lacked a "SH" sound, and Greek names followed specific rules which meant some had to end with an S. Great suggestion, Allan. I call this an "analytical" method of memorizing vocabulary where one associates something easy to remember with the sound of a new word. This is the way that I learn, but it is not for everyone since we're all different. Some use flash cards, and others write the word over and over again. What other methods of memorization are there?

There is another great topic : why Jesus came from the tribe of Judah , as the Lion of Judah .
In your showing of Luke 24:44, it says JC must fulfill the writing of the law of Moses, Prophets, and the Psalms. Problem is, he didn't fulfill any of these, especially Isiah 2:4. And don't tell me he'll get it on his second coming which is an unfalsifiable claim. Technically, he came a second time when he allegedly rose from the dead. And the Hebrew bible is not the old testament, it's the Tanach which is the Torah, Nevi'im and Ketuvim. HaShem clearly commands that nothing is to be added or subtracted from it. The New Testament clearly violates this command. There is only one G-d as written in multiple passages, and there is no other savoir. This is why the Jews never excepted JC since he was a false prophet. Also vicarious atonement and ritualistic cannabulism (communion) were common practices in the Greco Roman era and aborant in the Tanach. The Christian old testament has been corrupted by the church; moreover, they even changed the the order of the Torah, Nevi'im and Psalms. Their sinister action of placing the writings before the prophets has the unsuspecting reader not knowing the antidote for sin by placing the them at the book of Matthew and the cross. It is clear in the writing that JC is a 5th wheel, and all your sins can and will be forgiven just by doing teshuva and asking HaShem for forgiveness. Worship of JC is idolatry and has a penalty of death according to the Torah. The 2.4 Christians believing that they are going to heaven, will find themselves in Gehinnom. I'm not talking out of school here, having believed in the man made religion of Christianity for 64 years. I left skid marks leaving the church, as did my husband. We both worship only the one true G-d of Israel.
YHVH doesn't mean Lord If your concern is the scripture and not the language, you will find it in the scripture that Elohim HImself declares His Name and Psalmists sing praises to His Name. 'His name is unspeakable' is mythical teaching.
I encourage you to use any name for God that you choose. As for me, I began learning Hebrew in Israel and then continued my study with a Jewish teacher in our community. Jews do not say the tetragrammaton out of reverence because they consider it holy. That was part of my instruction when I was learning Hebrew, and I continue this practice out of reverence for my Jewish colleagues. But again, you should feel free to use any name for God that you choose.
As an individual who is studying the word of God.. it seems like by you taking off the rest of the videos is not Christ like... learning of Him is free... And if you are not satisfied by what you are getting from just the adds and you are looking for more money to study what was already there... It's pretty darn selfish... Please put your videos back for all who are interested in learning... and if you say well it cost me money and Time... Well... In your showing of Luke 24:44, it says JC must fulfill the writing of the law of Moses, Prophets, and the Psalms. Problem is, he didn't fulfill any of these, especially Isiah 2:4. And don't tell me he'll get it on his second coming which is an unfalsifiable claim. Technically, he came a second time when he allegedly rose from the dead. And the Hebrew bible is not the old testament, it's the Tanach which is the Torah, Nevi'im and Ketuvim. HaShem clearly commands that nothing is to be added or subtracted from it. The New Testament clearly violates this command. There is only one G-d as written in multiple passages, and there is no other savoir. This is why the Jews never excepted JC since he was a false prophet. Also vicarious atonement and ritualistic cannabulism (communion) were common practices in the Greco Roman era and aborant in the Tanach. The Christian old testament has been corrupted by the church; moreover, they even changed the the order of the Torah, Nevi'im and Psalms. Their sinister action of placing the writings before the prophets has the unsuspecting reader not knowing the antidote for sin by placing the them at the book of Matthew and the cross. It is clear in the writing that JC is a 5th wheel, and all your sins can and will be forgiven just by doing teshuva and asking HaShem for forgiveness. Worship of JC is idolatry and has a penalty of death according to the Torah. The 2.4 Christians believing that they are going to heaven, will find themselves in Gehinnom. I'm not talking out of school here, having believed in the man made religion of Christianity for 64 years. I left skid marks leaving the church, as did my husband. We both worship only the one true G-d of Israel.

I encourage you to use any name for God that you choose. As for me, I began learning Hebrew in Israel and then continued my study with a Jewish teacher in our community. Jews do not say the tetragrammaton out of reverence because they consider it holy. That was part of my instruction when I was learning Hebrew, and I continue this practice out of reverence for my Jewish colleagues. But again, you should feel free to use any name for God that you choose.
