Been hyped to see this for a while now. So here are my pros and cons. PROS... *Costume design great *Cast was fabulous. Molly was even black! Yaaassss! *Very 90s, sailor moon plot *Great script *Sassy villian Cons... Honestly I only had one con... the acting. The acting wasnt terrible but not great either. Most of the lines were delivered very monotone or not in proper inflection. For example, during the fighting scenes as the scouts yell their attacks, only Jupiter seems like she's in the middle of a battle. The other girls sound like everyday speech. If Mercury is doing her bubble blast, it's got to be MERCURY BUBBLES.... BLLLAAASSSTTTT! Evil is trying to take the heart crystal of a young girl. The scouts should sound upset and outraged and battle ready. Not as if they're ordering a frappuccino at Starbucks. Even Beryl looked and sound bored. I think if they can get those inflections down, this can really be great. So far, Serena is the best embodiment of her character, but all have room to grow. So overall I enjoyed this film. Was it perfect? No. But it was fun and stayed true to the series. You could tell this was made by a fan and I appreciated that! I look forward to another episode and seeing how everyone grows.
I definitely agree. These girls are used to cosplay, which is very different than acting for film or for the stage. Hopefully as this project progresses, they will pick up key acting techniques. As a director/actress, I definitely found myself getting lost on the acting instead of being immersed into the episode narrative. But other than that, everything was beautifully crafted.

I like how they're collecting the rainbow Crystal's for the silver crystal, but when "sailor moon" does the healing escalation the crystal is evident on the wand. Lol
I personally like Jupiter the best in this. But I’m really enjoying this fan made video and kudos to the people who put it together. I’m gonna be Sailor Mars for Halloween this year and this will help me for inspiration.

The girl who played "Molly" did a good job. No one did awful, but the enrgy for the atatcks and transformations wasn't there. Molly/monster had the ebst range of the older girls. The kid was talented, too! And Nephrite was pretty accurate.
I could tell this was a fan made due to the different storyline from the original anime and it was a kind of random point to start but this was pretty good. I liked the characters and the 90s humor 😂 especially the villain laughing at the bubbles.
As a huge Sailor Moon fan, this made me so happy!! You all did a wonderful job!! The costumes, the special effects, the story, all really awesome! I can really appreciate all the time and hard work you all put into it. Thank you for letting me re-live my childhood for a moment!! I would LOVE it if you did more of these in the future!
Oh man, you guys got the corny 90s jokes and everything! 🤣 Solid look. This was an enjoyable fan film. You can see the effort in the effects, costumes, outfits, editing, and casting choices. I would have loved for you guys to have gone full parody, but I think trying to emanate the American original brought up nostalgia feelings that were still entertaining. Thank you for this. ^_^
Phenomenal work, Ive been a fan of each of these cosplayers and love that they melanated Molly yasss!!! Only thing and it wasnt bad just the girls as sailor scouts, the hair, cosplays and special fx were on point but, and not bashing anyone, just I didnt feel the energy from their roles during the fight, but they still did amazing.
This was great. I like that it was inspired by the dub I watched as a kid. For a fan movies you guys did awesome. The only downside was that it was soooo short lol. I hope to see a longer episode in the future!
The monster laughing at the bubbles was the best part! Made me giggle ^_^ Overall, I think it was a great job for a fan film! however, I agree with a lot of others about having a little more emotion from the scouts. I think the casting choices were great! Keep up the awesome work!
Words cannot describe how much I love this and I needed to see this. First and foremost, I love how this fan film uses the old English dub of Sailor Moon as a base. While a lot of fan projects do use the old dub names, most of them tend to lean closer to the Japanese version in spirit in terms of a pragmatic adaptation of the best of both worlds. Usually, this works, but the idea of a fan project that not only uses old dub names but also tries to capture the feeling of the old dub in spirit is very rare. This gives me hope that as bad a reputation the old dub has in the diehard Sailor Moon fandom, that people still love it and haven't forgotten it in spite of the fandom's attempt to erase it. Second, I am absolutely in love with how despite being like the dub in spirit, you actually follow through with a unique plot twist for Sailor Moon -- the monster-of-the-day NOT being a loyal minion of the Negaverse general who summoned it but instead attacking him. It's an idea I once had for the Rainbow Crystal carriers as well. Scare Scout as played by Naomi Mack is particularly well done. The original things that are done are done well; this isn't a copy of even the dub, but a brillant homage that has its own unique direction. Third, I adore the timing and execution of the gags. The Mercury Bubbles Blast acting like a Bubble Bomb (from Mega Man V) and catching Scary Scout off-guard was priceless. I also like Tuxedo Mask performing a "magic trick." There need to be more projects like this. Unfortunately, I worry Viz will shut this down (or at least geo-block it) as it has other fan projects with original work.
Very cool guys! Serena's persona on this live version, i feel it fits, funny. "JUPITER THUNDER!" Luv that part, luv Jupiter, Love her energy. Also props on the Villain, she played it well, very funny. Everyone did great... Hope there is more in the future. :D

Yeah the acting was a bit rough around the edges - but overall GREAT! Plus, can I just say that I lived for that bit of banter between Moon and Mask at the end? I always thought that would have been something amazing to see more often in the original show - especially once Darien (I see it as a lot more possible in the Dic English dub than the Japanese original) becomes aware of him being Tuxedo Mask. It would’ve been a great way to sort of see the change between Serena and Darian’s typical quit with it would’ve been a great way to sort of see Serena and Darian’s typical quick witted dynamic but as Moon and Mask
This looked like so much fun to make! Molly was the best actor by far. And I think you guys accidentally used the transformation soundtrack from Crystal instead of the 90's version. XD
pacing / editing / acting / vfx all very good. I feel like this is on par with that mighty morphin power ranges show from the 90's. good work everyone!
Great job guys. And the edit and film team. Just do what u love doing and don't worry about people who try and bring u down and the film down. Lets see them get out of there Comfort zone and do something fun and creative.

I enjoyed this 👍 wish they made a live action movie of this. If they make one for the big screen, they cannot be too literal and have a lot of kick ass graphics and a good blend of fantasy and realism. The story would have to be a little bit more serious but still have that sailor moon humor.
Omg this was almost perfect. They just got the sailormoon's attack movements wrong. Usagi bends closer to the ground and has reaches further back before she throws the boomerang. With escalation, she bends down again when drawing a circle with the wand.

I love this. Fully support a live action TV series. The American version is what I grew up on. It drives me crazy how many people are negative about that and about the acting as well. Who cares. As long as everyone had fun doing it. I think they did a great job and I am slightly obsessed. If you need more actors for upcoming films I would be happy to participate! Sailor Jupiter was always my favorite but shes taken...I could totally play sailor Pluto though (we both have the height) haha great job again 😍😍

Loved this! You can definitely feel the love that was made with it! Very fun and nostalgic! Jupiter and Mercury had the best energy for their lines and attacks, you can tell they really know their characters!

I love this. Fully support a live action TV series. The American version is what I grew up on. It drives me crazy how many people are negative about that and about the acting as well. Who cares. As long as everyone had fun doing it. I think they did a great job and I am slightly obsessed. If you need more actors for upcoming films I would be happy to participate! Sailor Jupiter was always my favorite but shes taken...I could totally play sailor Pluto though (we both have the height) haha great job again 😍😍
It's supposed to be exactly like an old cheesy 90's power rangers episode. I'm not sure if people get that or if they really think the acting was bad.

Loved this! You can definitely feel the love that was made with it! Very fun and nostalgic! Jupiter and Mercury had the best energy for their lines and attacks, you can tell they really know their characters!
