The Dynasty Warriors games have always had great music and amazing character focused pieces such as Lu Bu's theme, but my favourite has to be the song Endless Sorrow.
@okuni5864 I could spend hours reading up on the historical context of the officers in the game. It would inspire me to create custom versions of the generic officers if i thought the history was interesting.
I have had a long-standing adoration for the Dynasty Warriors series, it has legitimately taught me about Chinese history (albeit somewhat romsnticized obviously). The music has always been great, the newer games have a great mix of Chinese influence, synths, metal, and that particular Japanese rock flair.
Yeah honestly if it was never for the Dynasty and Samurai Warriors games I would have never took up an interest in history. And additionally the music is baller in both series. I was always a huge fan of the ost in Samurai Warriors 2 where they mixed synthetic almost hip hop and R&B like beats with traditional Japanese instrumentation. It was just too good.
I love the DW7 ost, it makes it sound so grand and romanticized. But DW4 ost is so, so, sooo gritty and heavy with emotion. Avenging Battle, Eve, The verge of despair, Stabbed vicious lump, The wall of fate, Bloodshed to repeat and my fav In full bloom are good tracks to listen to.
DYNASTY WARRIORS!! I haven’t heard that name in a while. And yes, their Soundtrack goes BONKERS!!! Fitting for a series that’s basically a CRAZY POWER TRIP!!
this battle was super fun as a kid. my dad and i loved Liu Bei and Shu as we thought of them as the underdog good guys, so we would always pick Guan Yu and Zhang Fei and the music would make us feel so badass like we were actually there. it’s a series of games that have a special place in my heart.
What is going on, I was feeling nostalgic about Dynasty Warriors a few days ago, then my friends randomly talks about it, and now you are making a video. This is has got to be a sign to play.
Dynasty Warriors has so many banger tracks. But if you're doing a Dynasty Warriors track analysis binge, you have to do Eve from Dynasty Warriors 4's Battle of Changban theme.
I feel like the dynasty warriors in particular have such a distinct guitar sound for the lead, like I recognize the sound of it in other songs or places and I can't think of anything but this game series.
That eletric guitar truly is the mark of the Koei's "Warriors" franchise, the moment that you hear it you can safely assume that it comes from a dynasty warriors. If you ever try the game I would recommend "Dynasty Warriors 7", not from music perspective but because the narrative and story is told best in my opinion. I like most of dynasty warriors music but a personal favorite of mine is "Eve - Dynasty Warriors 4". And from it "sister" franchise "Samurai Warriors" I would recommend "Osaka Castle - Samurai Warriors 2" and "Petals in the Wind (Tokugawa) - Samurai Warriors 4". Thank you for your work in these videos, your reaction and analysis are a joy to watch.
I mean this track is for the turning point of one perhaps the most important battle of the three kingdoms. It relied on a lot of things going just right. So the elation when things indeed go just right must be euphoric.
Dynasty Warriors!!! I’ve been waiting for this so long!!! Dynasty Warriors was really my childhood. In terms of using traditional instruments, DW4 and DW6’s music are good choices. EVE, Heavy Gauge, The King Of Sadness from DW4; Welcome To China, Oriental Rush from DW6 are famous and well-known in DW community. If talking about emotional expressions, Long Time Ago from DW4,Moments Of Peace from DW5,Teary Edge and The Last Battle from DW7 are really bangers. Looking forward to seeing you checking out more Dynasty Warriors Music!
The memories of this level playing as huan gai and suplexing enemys and lighting all of cao caos navy intill reinforcments arrive was such an epic moment in this ahh fuck yeah!!
I have played nearly all the dynasty warriors games and trust me when i say even the old games had some serious bangers. The battle of hefei castle on Wei's side had an amazing song. But from the recent games the best song for me is entrusted hope from dynasty warriors 7 (i think haha)
You know, in the older games of seria, they used traditional instruments a lot; i think, up to DW5. But yes, electric guitars always were here a thing, that drives you, rally, and encourage. "Look back on your way" - one of those songs, which combine guitars and traditional instruments. Also i remember "Dark angel", "heavy gauge".
Hell yeah, Dynasty Warriors is my turbo nerd obsession, and not nearly enough people talk about its OST. Some of the music incorporates really classical chinese instruments and elements, and though you might not expect it, there's lots of darker, or even, tragic moments and music throughout the series.
Before you listen to Capricious Winds AKA DW8 Battle of Chibi. You should listen to Beyond the Destiny (Wei main theme), The Inherited Fang (Wu main theme), and Trio the Beryl (Shu Main theme). Capricious Winds is just making more sense after you listened to those 3 above.
Ayyy, Dynasty Warriors nice! Another similar vibe is Sengoku Basara 3. Try Ieyasu or Nobunaga's themes, Oushuu Racing Dragon Battle or Noshima Ocean Battle. Hard to choose, all of the songs in that game are good!
I'd like to see you react to: Ironmouse Sings When I Look at You in her Opera Voice. Not video game music but I think you'd appreciate it, especially considering her sad story.
I'd say that even among Dynasty Warriors music standards, this has a real epic "Hell Yeah!" vibe to it. Makes sense too, as this music kicks in the moment the vastly outnumbered Sun-Liu Alliance (the Red and Green guys) kicks off their fire counterattack, and the previously unstoppable juggernaut that is Cao Cao (the Blue guys) is dealt a humiliating defeat. It's after this battle that the titular "Three Kingdoms" starts seeing their formation. This music is "This is a history defining moment, and you're carving you're way through it!" I think a comparison to the soundtrack of the movie "Red Cliff" is worth listening too, done by Taro Iwashiro.
Try the capricious winds from DW8. It's also the theme song of the red cliffs. It's the mixture of the three kingdoms' (Wu, Wei, Shu) theme. You REALLY should listen to it! it's so cool.
Dynasty Warriors is... Quite the rabbit hole to fall down in terms of music. Some of the songs such as the theme of lubu have as many versions as there are games in the series AND THERE ARE A LOT! I'd take recommendations for songs to listen to from someone very familiar with the series otherwise a lot of the music will sound very samey.
Every DW game gets a score of like a 5 or 6 but be real, if youre buying a DW game its usually a banger 10/10. We know its the same story. DW just slaps
You hardly see anyone react to dynasty warriors music!! Honestly I might be speaking too soon but DW5,8,9 have got the best ones for this. 5 has three tracks that play (finish them off, smileless, persistent fellows) all of them are good. 6’s ultimate pressure is also good. This particular track you listened to it got a remix in 8, have a go too. But you have to listen to Solo from 8 first before DW9’s red storm infection trust me Oh other favourites of mine are DW9 Guandu (darkness nights show down) and 8,9’s Mt Dingjun music (the mountain and climb the crisis). Then it’s 5’s king of sadness which is remixed in 8. Honourable mentions go to 5’s acid gangs a go-go, a rising feeling, and unusual gravity, and 8xl’s karma against hard invasion and vanish (together)
LISTEEEEEEEEEEEEEN THE TIME HAS COME FOR YOU TO DISCOVER THE DYNASTY WARRIOR OST, I AWAIT TO SEE MORE. I would highly recommend you listen to Dynasty Warriors 4 OST. You will not be disappointed I assure you.
omg yes, I have always wanted to ask you if you can react to these Koei Warriors Games but I was also afraid that I'm just a small viewer, I'm not even on your paid Patreon to "request" you to do anything but... well, seems like the universe just brought you to this. Thank you! Hope to see you react more about these games, to be honest, I am not a fan of history games but in my childhood, my dad just unintentionally bought Dynasty Warriors for me from an old game store, it wasnt even a game store, it just a place to exchange DVD/CD like music, movies in the early 2000s and sometimes they had random video game CDs, Dynasty Warriors just came to me very naturally and my dad bought it for me. But this game plays a big part in my life. I remember playing when I was a Kid on a PS2 and now I'm over 25 but I'm still downloading the PC version to re-play them. These games are indeed old but not to me. To really see that one day you react about this game is enough to me, I have alot of my favorite tracks but I dont think I should recommend it to you. I just wanna say there are 9 games of Dynasty Warriors (DW2- DW9), each game has a great bunch of tracks, and those are waiting for you if you ever want to do a video for this game in the future (well hopefully)! When I was young, I didnt care to the OSTs much, I just smacked the controller to play the game, but as time went by, I paid more attention to other details of the game such as OSTs, for example there are other battles where you avenge for your dead comrades, the OST hits different. So hearing the OST and knowing the reason for that battle is pretty cool. You will be like "ahhhh" when you yourself find out why this OST is upbeat or why it is sad. Dynasty Warriors also has themes for some characters just like League of Legends, so guessing the characters thru their themes is also available for this games. This one, to pinpoint exactly, it is the DW7 version of the Battle of red cliffs, Its name is Thousand Sun, An okayge track to me, Im just fine with this, Im not obsessed with this one. The tracks from those first games where bass guitar mixed with Chinese traditional instruments are my favorite. And last but not least, these Dynasty Warriors soundtrack shares the same composer ( MASA) with two other games. So if you want to listen to a similar style but other than hard rock, consider Samurai Warriors and Warriors Orochi. Thank you again, have a good day!
Imagine being a soldier who trained your entire life, just to see a random guy in whacky armor surfdiving another soldier while ko’ing 50-100 guys with a swing 😂 I’ve grown up with DW series since 2, and yes, the OST is mostly bonkers and overtop guitar, but that’s a good thing, actually. It gives such a powertrip synergy with the gameplay, while also conveying urgency. The battle for red cliff is no exception.
You should listen to Battle of He Fei and The final game (ambition mode- final battle) OST's they are soo good as well ❤ Battle of He Fei - Cyclonized typhoon ❤
The Dynasty Warriors games have always had great music and amazing character focused pieces such as Lu Bu's theme, but my favourite has to be the song Endless Sorrow.
mine was memories from dw5. the encyclopedia / gallery is where i spend a lot of time as a kid.
also Oda side's theme at Honno-ji, that's a banger
@okuni5864 I could spend hours reading up on the historical context of the officers in the game. It would inspire me to create custom versions of the generic officers if i thought the history was interesting.
DW 5 Lu Bu's theme will always put some fear in me... Except if I am playing as him/put it on myself, then it's just a banger
@@arachineatzeer7478
Which is why, you shouldn't pursue Lu Bu.
@@YukitoOnline
But I want Red Hare
Dynasty Warriors has always been a romanticized representation of the actual battles, so the music in turn reflects that perfectly.
romanticization of an already romanticized retelling of the actual battles
Holy lord I'd never thought I'd see the day when Marco would react to a Dynasty Warriors ost.
Two in one day 😉
@@MarcoMeatballty for this the guy you play as in this level fights with an ANCHOR and his special move he suplex bombs the enemy lol
@@MarcoMeatball Please please react to Warriors Orochi ost too
A great battle. "You sure are proud to have a lot of wooden boats close together. It'd be a shame if they caught fire on a very windy day."
I have had a long-standing adoration for the Dynasty Warriors series, it has legitimately taught me about Chinese history (albeit somewhat romsnticized obviously). The music has always been great, the newer games have a great mix of Chinese influence, synths, metal, and that particular Japanese rock flair.
This series is also very love-hate, ypu either love it or hate it.
Yeah honestly if it was never for the Dynasty and Samurai Warriors games I would have never took up an interest in history. And additionally the music is baller in both series. Even songs produced by them for other games reminds me of that. Counterstrike from persona 5 strikers is just a textbook dynasty warriors style song.
That eletric guitar truly is the mark of the Koei's "Warriors" franchise, the moment that you hear it you can safely assume that it comes from a dynasty warriors. I hope you've listened to Capricious Wind. One of the best tracks in any Dynasty Warriors soundtrack ever.
I have to recommend Dynasty Warrior's Welcome to China (and it's 7th Mix), it's a real banger of a song.
A Great Giant is also cool
can't believe u react to the music of one of my fav games... i played it from like DW 4 to 8... their musics are fenomenal
The Wu final battle song is really amazing, amazing solo section in it.
I mean this track is for the turning point of one perhaps the most important battle of the three kingdoms. It relied on a lot of things going just right. So the elation when things indeed go just right must be euphoric.
Dynasty warriors has so many sick songs. This is a great intro to what this game makes you feel while playing.
Dynasty Warriors!!! I’ve been waiting for this so long!!!

All good picks. My addition: One I never hear people talk about but I've always liked is 5's Primitive Power, which has a cool tribal feel.
Oh man, Dynasty Warriors music! Love it! Can't wait to see more reactions to them
So glad you got around to that good ass DW music
The memories of this level playing as huan gai and suplexing enemys and lighting all of cao caos navy intill reinforcments arrive was such an epic moment in this ahh fuck yeah!!
Every single version of this theme SLAPS! Even though the series has gone dramatically downhill the last few years, the music continues to be awesome.
I have played nearly all the dynasty warriors games and trust me when i say even the old games had some serious bangers. The battle of hefei castle on Wei's side had an amazing song. But from the recent games the best song for me is entrusted hope from dynasty warriors 7 (i think haha)

Any of the Dynasty Warriors game soundtracks would make for a difficult Try Not To Headbang challenge--let alone many of the tracks on their own.
I'd like to see you react to: Ironmouse Sings When I Look at You in her Opera Voice. Not video game music but I think you'd appreciate it, especially considering her sad story.
I like ironmouse a lot but no sadly
Red Cliff is also an amazing movie if anyone has yet to watch it. 2 parts about 5 hours.
I'd say that even among Dynasty Warriors music standards, this has a real epic "Hell Yeah!" vibe to it. Try the capricious winds from DW8. It's also the theme song of the red cliffs. It's the mixture of the three kingdoms' (Wu, Wei, Shu) theme. You REALLY should listen to it! it's so cool.

Battle of He Fei - Cyclonized typhoon ❤

Oh hey, it's Thousand Suns. Why are you calling it Battle of Red Cliffs? Anyway, I'm so here for some Dynasty Warriors. Good pick, too.
I dunno lol
I don't know what I was expecting, but definitely not this banger of a track!
would love if you react the Dynasty Warrior 8 of the same battle
Listen to capricious wind (DW 8) next please!
Why there's no TH-camr react to all DW openings yet?
Please listen to ignition by masa it's from DW6
Can i request react song of dynasty warrios 5 ancient heroes??? That song always make me head bang
Do some songs from samurai warriors too please
If you like zelda music and this rock music, you should react to some songs from hyrule worriors great music.
