Thanks dude I'll actually throw this game on my Wishlist now with LoP 😂
How much do they pay you for these phony advertainment vids
Unfortunately, they're are just some problems no studio can fix. Eg. The final bosses (the terrible final boss for the first ending, lack of a real final boss on the second and reskinned boss on the third), enemy variety and lack of varied weapon movesets.
A final boss can't be replaced because obviously it can't. Completely new enemies (not that reskin crap they did on Halloween) takes to much time and risks messing with the balance and level design they've got now. More weapon movesets on existing weapons could end up changing the moveset of a weapon someone has invested in and may not like the new moveset. Such core issues are unfixable.
@@Z0RUKPeople love demon's souls. And this game is miles above demon's souls when it comes to refinement of the systems that demon's souls introduced. I've always considered the Griffith chick to be the final boss of lords of the fallen. Same as how demon's souls had false king allant. Weapon movesets do take a bit of a cut when it comes to what we're used to with souls games tho for sure.
You know what? I might end up playing it again! Also I want to support studios like these. Listening to fans is paramount and something really rare in modern videogames industry. These are the developers that I want to see succeed.
I agree 💯
Do it. I now have several playthroughs, and it has become what I initially hoped for. Still tough, sometimes still unfair, still shitty End Boss Adyr that I’ll never do again, but overall it’s really really good now. Worth playing and going for different builds.
Very good game.. 60hours and I want Play more
all that’s been in my head is Shadow of the Erdtree.
Same, I literally cant get into anything else right now. I just started another character in Elden Ring cause thats all I wanna play right now.
Ive had dreams every night of playing it.
im trying my hardest to wait and see everything by surprise but i keep refreshing my socials for more dlc content 😂😢
Elden Ring spoiled me... I can't play any other 3rd person open world RPG anymore...
@@uncleolGlad to know i'm not the only one
Enemy density and performance were the 2 things that kept me from finishing the game…Damn i might jump back in!
for me it was performance. playing it again, it's smoother than my skin will ever be
@@leaflizard8485 OK say less, definitely reinstalling

Performance was fixed pretty early on tbh, I played near launch and it was pretty smooth most of the time.

What I really like is the ability to start a new game +0, which is restarting the base game with all your loot and levels without going to new game +... so you can do a second playthrough to get duplicate items, find things you missed, or try a different ending.
Playing since release, finished 5 times including ironman mod - I enjoy it a lot. Thanks to Ziostorm for giving devs and game some love, surely they deserved it.
Waiting for the next game in the franchise 😊
Thank you for talking about this game bro. I commented on one of your recent vids hoping you'd speak on the updates. This game deserves a lot of love now and I love it. I have hundreds of hours on my steam deck playing Lords
People sleep on this game. One of the best multiplayer souls experiences I’ve ever seen. I had a great time and will definitely check it out again after shadow of the erdtree
i played it on 1.0 and really enjoyed it.
Different souls take and double world reminding me of metroid dark echoes.
I loved it.
Been playing the boss rushes a lot recently, challenging and fun plus really good rewards.
I’m def gonna jump back into LotF after the ER dlc, the new content looks like so much fun and it seems like they may have addressed my biggest issue with the game, which was the boss difficulty. Especially after having just beaten Sekiro for the first time, a new playthrough using a parry focused build sounds like a blast.
i like the lantern mechanic in the game, its very unique
I just played it about a month ago. It was definitely much better than at launch. The enemy density is definitely better. It’s still high at times but doesn’t feel so cheap as last time. The performance is still somewhat lacking in the later areas but better than it was
Heck yeah man. It's good to see you're getting favored, It's a shame you didn't get to take part in that that elden ring event
Finished my playthrough at launch before the october halloween boss. I've been excited to jump into it for another playthrough.
elden ring new dlc should add their own version of Clash of Champions
I heard a lot of negative about this game yet when I played about 4 months ago enjoyed it quite a bit. im glad to see that its only gotten better since I beat it. may need a replay.
Have tried to get into this multiple times to no avail.
It blows ass , Ziostorm the only dude who likes it lol Lies of P cooks this entire game
@@DrahminsGooch hate all you want but those of us who love the game had an amazing time. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it's ass
Bruh lies of P for me was game of the year last year. Idgaf what anyone says.
I don't want to hate the game I just want it to run smoothly. That's the main reason I didn't buy it at launch.
LotF movement feels butter smooth rn, reminds me of Sekiro
I played Lords of the Fallen a few weeks ago and was particularly impressed by the worldbuilding and exploration.
Like the game very much!
Yes i really like it too.
Honestly LOTF is very underrated and overhated, I'm glad the game got much better and I'll definitely try again.
Although i hope to see more enemy variety if possible next updates.
Honestly No.. its not..
@@blazenfate You should google the word "subjectivity"
It finally has positive ratings on steam too!
@@blazenfate no it very much is, alot of hate for this game is just really undeserved, I understand the critique but to call this game "dogshit" or say that it didn't improve compared to the past one is just straight up wrong. the game has alot of good things going for it and it's unique mechanics and aspects are pretty cool, it's not like a phenomenal game but it's pretty solid.
@@TheLastGame666 So that's the bar we're setting? "It improved since the last game"? The game is a solid 6. It had potential and some neat ideas but it failed to execute on most of them, and it's taken them 8 months to get this thing to a passable state. Two tries and two mediocre games, I won't be buying the third, that's all I can say.
I REALLY hope LotF gets the recognition it deserves. The devs did put the work in to resolve most of the issues it had on release and it's as close to dark souls 4 as we'll ever get.
Lol only 8 months to deliver the product people paid for 8 months prior. The game is a solid 6, and it's received exactly the recognition and reputation it deserves.
@@AdoreYouInAshXIclearly you had a hard time bud
@@rapid_rivers3294 Lol hard time enjoying a badly made game maybe.
I’m glad they pulled through and kept updating the game. It’s rare to see developers listen to fans and take criticism. Hopefully they learn from this game and create a banger sequel
Still need to get this game. As a big souls fan it looks really fun and the gear aesthetic is wicked badass!
😎🍻😎
Months ago, I commented on another Ziostorm video about Lies of P and Lords of the Fallen. I LOVED Lies of P, and considered getting Lords of the Fallen, but the comments section pushed strongly against LOTF. Any new comments from the audience since then??
Don’t let comments decide for you. The game slaps.
The devs fixed most of the major issues with the game. The enemy density is very manageable now, performance is good, and the game now has many features that only exist from mods in other souls games. Solid 7/10 from a 5/10 at launch I’d say.
Its like a 5 or 6/10
@@uncleol easily an 8
Lies of P is an objectively better game than LotF in every way. That comes from someone who 100% both of these games.
Lords of the fallen is an incredible game and a must play for any Soulslike enthusiast.
how can i check which version i have ??? i download it a month ago or so ...
It should update automatically, unless you turned that option off.
I finally had the chance to play it the past couple days and its been so much fun! Been a challenge, but an absolute pleasure (i am running pre-upgraded loot just bc i like being able to just try everything i get). The systems are awesome fun, and I've been enjoying everything I've tried. A bit hesitant to do multiplayer bc of what I've heard, but I'll probably just queue up some invasions sometime and see how it feels
Nice video as always and great work of the developers. Cheers from Germany
The only update I dislike is the running speed got nerfed. When I first played the game my character ran so damn fast and I loved it!
This game is really fun
Lords of the Fallen is the DS2 of souls-likes.
DS2 is good though...
Fax
Barely even DS2..
I honestly enjoyed it more than DS2 (you can all attack me if you want I don't mind)
Facts. It's also over hated just like DS2
I really liked it! Didnt know it had major updates!
I’ll eventually try it. It won’t happen any time soon but thanks for the video.
I totally agree i played through this game 3 times & yet to finish the umbral ending but i will definitely jump back in massive credit to the devs for continuing to support the fans & the game if only every other dev team / company was this way inclined
That’s funny I remember the ding sound being the original parry sound. I wonder if they went through several iterations of sound design
I played it when it first released on PS5 and absolutely love it. Did two playthroughs back to back. But I recently built my first PC and want to replay it on PC. Hopefully Steam will have it on sale soon.
Definitely definitely worth playing. I had tons of fun playing this for a couple of weeks. Now it seems like it has a lot more replay value
I’d still put it 2nd behind Lies of P as far as soul likes go..
does boss rush mode work with multiplayer or is it solo only?
I need to get back into this. I had a big slow sword that made dodging all the projectiles so annoying. Need to go back in with a quicker weapon.
I loved this game even from launch, can't wait to see what they do next!!!
I really hope this game is a huge learning experience for CI and HexWorks. This game has a lot of love and uniqueness to it. The only real thing it’s missing is a definitive arena horde mode
I’ll definitely be back to LotF sometime this year.
Nice!
It was a fun game for sure. My biggest problem was the pvp rubber banding. I’d that still an issue?
I genuinely wished more games did this stuff.
Happy to see how the game turned out
I pre-ordered the game and have been playing since release with no problems, but it's still definitely better now
Oh wow, i played on launch and loved it but didnt touch it again after my first playthrough. didnt even know there were updates. will have to give it another shot
I'm currently playing Nine Sols, a 2D metroidvania with Hollow Knight + Sekiro influences. Highly recommended! I might try LotF again after the Elden Ring DLC. At the time I didn't really like version 1.0
I really liked this game at launch. The only issue that I really had was enemy density at the end of the game. I’ll probably jump back in and do a play through before Shadow of the Erdtree
Let’s go!!!!! I’m gonna jump back in today I’ve been hoping to hear this I’m happy for those guys they truly love the game they made and they took criticism from fans extremely well and worked hard to fix that’s stuff. We need more developers like those guys in the community!
This is how you support your game. Great job by the development team.
Formatted my pc to install it on C as it is ssd, still fuzzy around the character when I move :(
I want to play it I really do, I either will figure out a solution or it'll set in my library for the next 10 years
I'm gonna play it now. I am impressed honestly.
I totally agree with you, I specifically like the lightness of the character, just like I enjoy the heaviness of the character in a DS or Elden Ring.
This game is so much better than the original LOTF
I liked the OG LotF, i did not like this one. All though id never say people should go out and get it. It was good in that time, it didnt age well.
Just got back into the game a few days ago and have been loving all the new changes! Yesterday I completed the crucibles of fire, faith, and blood. It was definitely exhilarating to get all that shrine currency! I never thought I’d see the day where I had enough pilfered coins to buy that entire armor set 😂😂
I have loved this game since day 1. I even loved the original enemy density.
I beat this at launch, loved it except for having to stress about going into umbral to get items etc
I've been playing since launch. Only issue I have is multiplayer still has lag issues.
Digital Foundry says it still has stutters mid-game in addition to typical UE Engine traversal stutters.
Goated vid
How do you feel about Lies of P?
Personally it was a bit of a let down for me after Elden Ring (my first soulslike)
Need to hop back in b4 dlc...excited, best non fromsoft souls like for sure
awesome game, didnt get to finish it. I'll get back into it after Shadow of the Erdtree.
I loved it. platinum in the first month but i will come back to see the differences
Recently finished Lies of P and I was thinking of getting this one... is it worth it? still mixed in Steam :(
It feels clunky as hell
I just downloaded this one. Hopefully this vid helps me like it more
Love the devs poring there time and love in this. I enjoyed the game a lot. The graphics were absolutely gorgeous
I'm very interested to jump back in and see what they have done in terms of improving the boss weapons and weapon abilities. I was one of the fortunate individuals who had no technical issues at all when I played the game, and I absolutely loved it. However, I was very disappointed in the lack of moveset variety and special weapon abilities, especially with regard to the boss weapons. So I'm very interested to see what improvements they've made in that department.
Funny thing, i have it installed and steam updates it regularly. Bought it some time ago, knowing its pros and cons and what can i expect ( i kinda liked Mortal Shell from souls-like btw, so i am sure i would kinda like some parts of it at least ).
Only question i have is, can i finish it in less than 20 days ? :D
Yeah easily
I was on the fence to begin with having loved elden ring but this is coop has been sick honestly 😊
Never played it, but Bosses design is sick 🔥 I will definitely play it
You know what i might actually try it now…
After shadow of the erdtree
Been there done that, got all 3 endings. Unless they release some real DLC, new areas and boses, I probably won't be back.
The new updates are nice. I like the new parry sound, which is a lot better.
How is it running on PS5?
Ima big fan of lords of the fallen
GAMERS RISE UP!!!!!
I will be buying this game now.!!
This game was overshadowed by lies of P but im trying it out now as I write this, i literally took a break just to tell one of my friends this game is worth it. The devs were truly inspired the umbra mechanics are fun and challenging, I see this game as very polished. In Lies of P when you “edge walk” (walking animation during combat) the speed at which the puppet moves does not match the steps on the ground so its like he is moonwalking everywhere this is one of biggest pet peeves about lies of P this is such an eyesore. Lords of the Fallen does not make this mistake the character actually feels like he is in the ground walking and interacting with everything. Yeah its still complicated and bit confusing too many tutorials and weird names to remember but when you get the hang of it the game feels stylish and crisp. Which is what matters, the gameplay is good shame that this game was overshadowed a bit by Lies but I dare even say im liking lords more than lies right now.
Started to play this with a friend, don't forget this game has seamless Co-op!!!!
There's features in this game that fromsoftware can learn from
Sorry but no, co-op and pvp are not ok imo
The coop is great. Only bummer is it 2 player max + invader. Still great though
My roommate got this on his Xbox One just the other day so I got to play around with it a bit! Honestly it seems like a fun game, the worst thing I experienced was some crazy frame rate drops but beyond that it's cool! I think the voice acting is a little ass though lol! I will definitely be getting this when I I get my PS5.
Getting anxious 😰
On my 3rd playthrough. This team has been working endlessly and striving to make it the best it can be. I’d highly recommend folks try it out, if they haven’t.
It really needs to be stated that since this is a heavy-featured UE5 game, so 13th and 14th generation Intel CPUs require some tweaking. It's not CIs fault at all, nor any other developer...but people still complain about the "game crashing" even though it's related to their motherboard manufacturer rather than the games themselves. LotF is a great game btw...I'm a massive fan. It looks stunning, and the gameplay is (and mostly always has been) awesome.
I freakin’ love this game.. I love the 2-reality concept and it’s just really fun to play. I played for about an hour after the new update (only 1 hour because my soul has been consumed once again by FO4 😅) and it was wayyyyyy more fluid and responsive than it was in the beginning. Graphics look even better too. After I finish this play through for Fallout and give Shadow Of The Erdtree a large percentage of my life for a time I’m going to get back into this game!
I played it for about 20 hours and just got pissed with enemy density. I'll have to try it out again.
I love lotf. Wither is such a cool concept. It scratched the dark dark fantasy itch that elden ring did not. SotE will probably scratch it. I didnt like how much butterfeet* was goin on when i played, but they could have fixed that too. I made 5 characters and got them all to end game or ng+. Very fun.
*Butterfeet is when you swing and the soles of the feet start oozing butter to allow for sliding across surfaces.
never played but what’s up worth the stutter style combat
I was going to buy this but got lies of p instead because of the criticism you mentioned. Might be time to play this the next 12 days while waiting on SOTE.
To describe how different the game feels to me;
Day 1: Absolutely terrible
Now: Genuinely enjoying every second
I can’t help but praise the devs
Not sure yet,.After Elden, souls changed the quality.. I need an Elden Ring 2 after shadow
This game is so slept on. People just hate on it because it’s trendy to (a lot like dark souls 2). I give this game a solid 8/10. Honestly I think it’s a way better game than dragons dogma 2.
I absolutely adored this game. I love that you can play it souls, Bloodborne or sekiro style. Love the ranged weapon system. Love the dual-wield mechanics. Can't wait to see what they do next
I love this game.
I honestly liked Lords of the Fallen, and lived throughout the entire period of the weekly updates.
I liked it less than Lies of P, but still, it is pretty cool.
But anyways, what about Enotria: The Last Song's demo?
You said you would have tried it at launch but you didn't.
I would say that now is the best time to do it, since the demo's last update has been released, fixing all bugs/glitches and adding/modifying things thanks to the huge amount of feedback that people have already given on the game's discord.
So please, try Enotria.
You will be amazed.
There is still a lot to adjust and fix, yeah, but the devs have still a bit of time to fix em
I can't wait for you to try it!
Hopefully you will
Honestly the thing that bothered me the most about l.o.t.f. was quest layout and to be frank poorly thought out encounters. Example for poor quest layout being that if you cleanse the first marker in the swamp you are locked into the radiant ending full stop, or if you don’t cleanse a beacon after a certain point you are locked into the lord ending and there’s nothing to tell you in game that this will happen or that it hard locks you on a path. As for the poorly thought out encounters, the worst one that comes to mind is the lamp reaper, if you get good enough or even if you over lv yourself and kill him in one of his many encounters outside of the end area you are locked out of like three quests and I do believe an ending purely because you are too good or over leveled.
Nobody's talking about this without being paid. Can't trust these fools. 5th video I've seen today with #ad lmao
