14:09 Before taking the ladder up you can break the door immediately behind it and then sprint jump to the ledge for a necklace in a chest. It looks tricky bud you can jump right past the ladder.
I saw this when he got stuck on the way down, and so did I. Picked it on on my 2nd time through his walkthrough and was the final pendant I needed for the Trinket Collector trophy.
You also missed Final Whisper after the second abbot door at exactly the 6 minute mark of the video. When you opened up the second Abbot door(wooden), directly to your left is a distructible wall. Roll through. Walk down a short hall, unbral through a gate, pick up Final Whisper, and walk straight forward to open a shortcut directly above the Leprosarium vestige.
Just to be clear when jumping for this. Face the ladder sprint and run to the right of the ladder and you will crash through the wooden panelling concealing the hidden chest. I would never have found this. Missed it first time round.

if you dont kill the umbral parasite protecting the poison boss knight guy at the bridge, he will just keep reviving over and over with like 1/3 health. for anyone still watching this, after giving rune to sparky you can now socket 3 runes into max leveled weapon, cowboy didnt tell you
I felt bad for not giving it to sparky. But I wanted that Rune. After I beat LOTF…I’ll pay him back on NG+. That’s after I beat the ER DLC that drops next week though lol
This game has a ton of loot and "goodies" that you pick up constantly throughout the game, but I rarely ever use any of it. There are so many things in my inventory that just pile up. Is it just me? I think the game is fantastic, and I'm enjoying it, and I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your walk-throughs.
For those of you not seeing Dunmores ring and rosary. Head back to the depts and enter Mothers Lull and talk to Dunmore again, exit out of Mothers Lull, interact with the seedling while in umbral and head back to the Mines and it should be there

So this is for anyone who wasnt able to get Dunmores ring and rosary to drop. I was alsonjaving the same issue and it was driving me crazy. There was a spot that i needed to go back to and talk to Dunmire follow these steps and hopefully it helps you like it did me. Teleport to the Vestige of Hooded Antuli and go towards Sunless Skein. Once you're in the mines, take the ladder on your right "if this it's your first time exploring this area, you'll need to keep exploring Sunless Skein until you can kick down this ladder to create this shortcut" Keep following the path and break the wooden wall at the end to go inside a tunnel. Explore the tunnel all the way through. On the other side, you'll find a spiral staircase you can take to go down. At the bottom, you'll find Dunmire next to an Emergency Effigy. Talk to him and exhaust all of his dialogue options. Somehow i missed this step and i wasnt able to get the ring and rosary. Once i did this i continued following cowboys walkthrough and boom the ring and rosary were there i picked them up and now i continuing with the walk through. Hope this helps some of you. If it doesn't you may need to jack track further and make sure you didn't miss anything.
Fyi, you can give the rune to Sparky and still buy things at her normal price. It's only after you finish talking to her again that she raises the prices.
They added a ton of upgrade mats in a recent update (i think to compensate for that change to weapon upgrades that everyone was upset about).. so it might have been after the walkthrough was done... but you get 40 of the large and a bunch of the others, and even some chunks.. you go to the altar in the hub, where the doggo and two other guys are.. they are in the alcove to the left.
At 6:00 after you opened the door, there is a wood wall on the left through that door that can be broken. Leads down to a fist weapon and what was a shortcut back to the vestige when i played through.
People having trouble with missing drops on this quest should try warping to another vestige between the ones that Cowboy points out. Seems to need an extra reset for me. Edit: on PS5 btw
Just funny that CB was torn about putting that rune in a SHIELD of all things - heavy eye roll lol. CB is Dark souls to the core😂. Im sure the vast majority would be torn to get the rune to dual wield weapons with diff stat requirements. 🎉
I wanted it for Heavy Memento, which requires 40 strength and weights a whooping 50! Max level is 90/80/100/95 across the defenses, thing is an absolute beast
Having the ability to wield any weapon irrespective of the required attributes will always be infinitely better than being able to smith your weapon at a vestige. It's not like you need to smith all the time. But there are so many weapons, and you need to grind to wield the best one. However, for the purpose of the walkthrough, I would advice that you follow Cowboy. I don't intend to replay this game. Too many bugs. And Shadow of the Erdtree is out and I'm itching to jump on that lol

Has anyone else noticed that with Manastone ring equipped we can run both Aura of Tenacity and Barbed Aura at the same time... forever? The two spells use exactly the same amount as mana regen per second. Tbh, Barbed Aura seems pretty meh; but, a permanent 10% DMG reduction with Tenacity seems like a sweet deal :).
@FightingCowboy does doing Dunmires questline lock you into the Umbrall Ending? I want his catalyst for my radiant build but I'm trying to get the inferno ending.
Blood and Glory is also an OP weapon for Radiance build.... way better than pieta imo. It staggers everything and puts out over 1000hp when buffed with Radianr Weapon.
@@jamesroberts-ux5dz bet I’ll try it out thank you, i switched to and maxed out devotions might but haven’t really been wowed by it, bottom line pietas is literally unusable after the nerf takes like 7 hits on basic enemies at +5 with 3 radiance runes
@@jamesroberts-ux5dz so I just maxed out the bloody glory and went to test it against devotions might: I used the same 3 runes on each weapon and tested it on the big bulwark guy right outside leprosarium vestige, with the bloody glory I was hitting him for 585 (every 3rd or 4th hit id get an extra 74 or so damage of bleed) and with the devotions might I was hitting him for 693 every single hit. I will say I like the sweeping r1 a lot better on the grand sword but not enough to sacrifice an extra 100 damage per swing
I haven't tried devotions bc I didn't want to invest the 28str to use it (same with Gregory sword at 30str) but damn those numbers are nice! It probably staggers just as good too. I'm currently running 62rad 20str and with mana regen on shield I can constantly keep bloody buffed with radiant weapon. Prior to this I ran dual pieta +4 prior to nerf. (Btw... if you successfully invade and kill the player a second pieta becomes available at umbral merchant). After nerf and before bloody I was running dual preacher hammers +8 and those were great. Tbh dual pieta kinda broke the game because the challenge left, even drops and loot became boring because I knew there was nothing "better", nerf pushed me to explore new options and brought the fun back. When I get my stats up to handle devotion I will definitely give it a run. Thanks for the info!!
@@jamesroberts-ux5dz I wish I got to try out the dual pietas man they sound like they were busted, but yeah I think bloody glory or devotion are the way to go after the nerf I guess just depends if you wanna sacrifice extra damage for the better crowd control moveset but yeah the grand hammer still staggers like crazy, I think it’s worth just respecing and taking 8 of those radiance points and throwing them into strength if you have some extra rebirth things, I might try to dual wield devotion and bloody and just be a zug master though

Not extinguishing the beacons or doing so does pretty simple but putrid mothers end yeah I would have never got here on my own lol thanks for the videos I’ve been watching step by step before each play so I don’t screw it up. Next I’m just going for straight forward good ending so I can get through a little quicker. I did an umbrel build and your right it melts.
The only thing that triggered me, was when you interact, it gives you two options, cleanse and do nothing. I cleansed the first then realized maybe I can just not lol. Ng+ I'll leave them all.

Just a cautionary note: Umbral ending, whether it’s just PS5, I don’t know, is completely bugged. I entered the Lull, went over the platform and the cutscene played but it crashed. Now every time I head over to the platform, the cutscene doesn’t play. Soft-locked - can’t go into NG+.
At the 8:50 mark , my area has a huge hole and I go under ground and cone back up on the other end! Not sure why my walkthrough up to this point is different! Anyone else have the same issue ?
I know it's not related 😅 but does anyone have a save file for LOTF2 just after finishing tower of penance and before hollowed sisters? My save file is ***up because of a crash in cutscene... I was trying to cleanse the beacon in tower of penance and my game crashed in cutscene. After reboot I can't cleanse the beacon and it's still red and I'm locked out of all endings
Wait did they even change umbral eye effects, eye of the pale butcher used to be regain soulflay charge while in umbral but now its +25% damage to enemy soul... idk whats going on with the developers of this game but they need to chill.. it seems like they are panicking big time because people are complaining about the game and theyre going to end up ruining this game trying to satisfy everyone
umbral ending is evil ending, cleansing any beacon makes you go into radiance ending, aka the good ending of the game. so just finish ending. your technically intended to do inferno or radience first time you play but obviously umbra ending is best ending because of starter class you unlock for finishing.
I’m kinda torn on wasting that many scourings. I’m going for the “good” ending so idek if I can go down into that pit at the depths boss area. I do want that catalyst tho. Just doesn’t make sense if I’m a str/radiance build. Idk
You can pop stigmas (the „statues” that you find in umbral form and tell a story) and you can revenge lampbearers (pop the red lamps and fight the enemies that killed other players). You will receive plucked eyeballs and this currency allows you to buy as many umbral scourings you want from the Molhu NPC in Skyrest (the one you find in umbral form and upgrades your lamp). You get 3 eyeballs for each revenged lampbearer. Alternatively you can just play through the game and you'll eventually get a lot of them.
Maybe i misse it, but befre tower of penance, on a side of the way that leads t th levator, theres a dent and if you follow it, you collect jeffreys dagger.
Nevermind. After trying a reboot, warping away, retrying, i finally just got it as soon as I went into umbral before attacking the reaper. The game is really buggy for me in this area, lockons not working and such.
followed plenty of your walk throughs but would of been good to get some notice not to talk to dunmire until i had enough money to buy out everything. now i don’t have enough money for everything so can’t platinum
The game feels incredibly long. It's definitely been missing something throughout the entire playthrough. It also feels like there're one too many questlines to be honest. One too many quests to track, that have no connection to each other, and potential to lock you out of other content, items, bosses, npcs. The whole scouring thing sucks. There's no way to farm them from what I can tell other than afking foe 5 minutes for a dicy fight against the Scarlet Reaper, or exploiting red lamp positioning to get more plucked eyes. There's a red lamp that always appears right next to the Bell room vestige. If you go there and can't see it, kill the spikey head enemy that waits in the hallway, go rest at the vestige and check again. I've sort of been passively accumulating scouring by travelling here every time I spend time at a vestige throughout the game. I was also hoping to have more of the questline trophies by this point. I'm still missing quite a few. I know you can't get Damarose during the umbral ending pmaythrough. But feel like I should have Drustan's trophy by now.
the exactor is bugged for me, im not able to hand in most the stuff for him, i still have the unbral tome and all of that. So annoyed, not even sure if i should i keep playing. kinda turned me off from the game.
Bro i can litterly run at that bell head guy as fast as i can and he kills me before i can even get to him even if i stand back the shock wave kills me with 40 vitality i just dont get it anyone else having this issue

What's up with the developers of this game? With this last patch, they really fucked the game up quiet a bit... they nerfed everything pretty hard. I have a radiance build very much like the one you're using and I definitely feel weaker.. and they made the mana cost for pietas spell just stupid.. I've never seen developers do anything like that before. The mana cost went from like 70 or 80 all the way to 495! That's almost my entire mana bar.. I could see bumping it up to 150 or even 200 because it is a very powerful spell but basically 500?? I feel like the developers are panicking and their going to end up ruining the game if they try to appease everyone..
Why would you tell us to hand over the thing. And then say buy all the stuff now before he disappears, because of that, Now I miss the platinum because I didn’t have enough vigor at that time to buy everything from him. You should’ve explained that clearly before handing it over, instead of telling us after we handed it over and now it’s too late. wtf was that.
Get beckoned and respec in teir world, when respecing change one of the assigned points compared to previously, doing so will give you extra levels for free (doing It 4 times brings you above level 1'000 if your starting level Is between 50 and 70)

Nah it’s nice to have a lot of weapons etc though you never know when ur inspired to respec and make a new build for fun lol

BIG benefit to giving the Rune to Gerlinde (besides the Crafter Essence rune) is that she will then sell the Briostone Trios and Large Manastones.

@@danielfox380believe all quest lines reset in NG+. So yeah you can give the tablet to whom you didn't in the first playthrough.

I think this has been patched, I didn't get the option to not speak with her, just dialogue all the way.

I have been following along and the Exacter drop wont show up in the mines. I did everything up until that point the same but no loot.
I have Damarose's seedpod in my quest inventory.
Same for me as well. I was able to complete the quest but no drops at the mines or depths location. Was able to grab the seedpod tho

Be sure to exhaust his full dialogue to the point where he's laughing, that worked for me on series X

sigh that Saintly Quintessence pop at 4:24ish is so bugged for me cant get something to pop or target yet its there

You missed an umbrel eye at 1830 if you would’ve went umbrel during the last drop
I'm not sure how or why I found the Agony's light that I found, but it's stronger and better than the Exacter Scripture.

Umbral ending is super hard to get. A single mistake will lock you OUT of it, not even to say anything can lock you into.

I will say I like the sweeping r1 a lot better on the grand sword but not enough to sacrifice an extra 100 damage per swing
I haven't tried devotions bc I didn't want to invest the 28str to use it (same with Gregory sword at 30str) but damn those numbers are nice! It probably staggers just as good too. I'm currently running 62rad 20str and with mana regen on shield I can constantly keep bloody buffed with radiant weapon. Prior to this I ran dual pieta +4 prior to nerf. (Btw... if you successfully invade and kill the player a second pieta becomes available at umbral merchant). After nerf and before bloody I was running dual preacher hammers +8 and those were great. Tbh dual pieta kinda broke the game because the challenge left, even drops and loot became boring because I knew there was nothing "better", nerf pushed me to explore new options and brought the fun back. When I get my stats up to handle devotion I will definitely give it a run. Thanks for the info!!
@@jamesroberts-ux5dz I wish I got to try out the dual pietas man they sound like they were busted, but yeah I think bloody glory or devotion are the way to go after the nerf I guess just depends if you wanna sacrifice extra damage for the better crowd control moveset but yeah the grand hammer still staggers like crazy, I think it’s worth just respecing and taking 8 of those radiance points and throwing them into strength if you have some extra rebirth things, I might try to dual wield devotion and bloody and just be a zug master though

Maybe I’m just not very good good but some of these hidden endings are just like wtf? How would you know the steps? Not extinguishing the beacons or doing so does pretty simple but putrid mothers end yeah I would have never got here on my own lol thanks for the videos I’ve been watching step by step before each play so I don’t screw it up. Umbral ending, whether it’s just PS5, I don’t know, is completely bugged. I entered the Lull, went over the platform and the cutscene played but it crashed.
Now every time I head over to the platform, the cutscene doesn’t play. Soft-locked - can’t go into NG+.
At the 8:50 mark , my area has a huge hole and I go under ground and cone back up on the other end! Not sure why my walkthrough up to this point is different! Anyone else have the same issue ?
I know it's not related 😅 but does anyone have a save file for LOTF2 just after finishing tower of penance and before hollowed sisters? My save file is ***up because of a crash in cutscene... I was trying to cleanse the beacon in tower of penance and my game crashed in cutscene. After reboot I can't cleanse the beacon and it's still red and I'm locked out of all endings
Wait did they even change umbral eye effects, eye of the pale butcher used to be regain soulflay charge while in umbral but now its +25% damage to enemy soul... idk whats going on with the developers of this game but they need to chill.. it seems like they are panicking big time because people are complaining about the game and theyre going to end up ruining this game trying to satisfy everyone

umbral ending is evil ending, cleansing any beacon makes you go into radiance ending, aka the good ending of the game. so just finish ending. your technically intended to do inferno or radience first time you play but obviously umbra ending is best ending because of starter class you unlock for finishing.
I’m kinda torn on wasting that many scourings. I’m going for the “good” ending so idek if I can go down into that pit at the depths boss area. I do want that catalyst tho. Just doesn’t make sense if I’m a str/radiance build. Idk

You need to kill her for Umbral meaning no more upgrading or socketing so going with sparky is better in that scenario.

Does anybody know how to get many umbral scourings like CB?
You can pop stigmas (the „statues” that you find in umbral form and tell a story) and you can revenge lampbearers (pop the red lamps and fight the enemies that killed other players). You will receive plucked eyeballs and this currency allows you to buy as many umbral scourings you want from the Molhu NPC in Skyrest (the one you find in umbral form and upgrades your lamp). You get 3 eyeballs for each revenged lampbearer.
Alternatively you can just play through the game and you'll eventually get a lot of them.
Maybe i misse it, but befre tower of penance, on a side of the way that leads t th levator, theres a dent and if you follow it, you collect jeffreys dagger.

Nevermind. After trying a reboot, warping away, retrying, i finally just got it as soon as I went into umbral before attacking the reaper. The game is really buggy for me in this area, lockons not working and such.

The game feels incredibly long. It's definitely been missing something throughout the entire playthrough. It also feels like there're one too many questlines to be honest. One too many quests to track, that have no connection to each other, and potential to lock you out of other content, items, bosses, npcs.
The whole scouring thing sucks. There's no way to farm them from what I can tell other than afking foe 5 minutes for a dicy fight against the Scarlet Reaper, or exploiting red lamp positioning to get more plucked eyes. There's a red lamp that always appears right next to the Bell room vestige. If you go there and can't see it, kill the spikey head enemy that waits in the hallway, go rest at the vestige and check again. I've sort of been passively accumulating scouring by travelling here every time I spend time at a vestige throughout the game.
I was also hoping to have more of the questline trophies by this point. I'm still missing quite a few. I know you can't get Damarose during the umbral ending pmaythrough. But feel like I should have Drustan's trophy by now.

the exactor is bugged for me, im not able to hand in most the stuff for him, i still have the unbral tome and all of that. So annoyed, not even sure if i should i keep playing. kinda turned me off from the game.
Bro i can litterly run at that bell head guy as fast as i can and he kills me before i can even get to him even if i stand back the shock wave kills me with 40 vitality i just dont get it anyone else having this issue

What's up with the developers of this game? With this last patch, they really fucked the game up quiet a bit... they nerfed everything pretty hard. I have a radiance build very much like the one you're using and I definitely feel weaker.. and they made the mana cost for pietas spell just stupid.. I've never seen developers do anything like that before. The mana cost went from like 70 or 80 all the way to 495! That's almost my entire mana bar.. I could see bumping it up to 150 or even 200 because it is a very powerful spell but basically 500?? I feel like the developers are panicking and their going to end up ruining the game if they try to appease everyone..
I gave the last tablet to the smith so I could get the crafters essence rune and it didn't give me anything...
This is some dumb shit to just put Dunmire's stuff in random hallway and not have any indication it was ever placed there..

Get beckoned and respec in teir world, when respecing change one of the assigned points compared to previously, doing so will give you extra levels for free (doing It 4 times brings you above level 1'000 if your starting level Is between 50 and 70)
