it's a national DISGRACE. Rapes, murders, burglaries all get the brush off with "we don't have any spare resources, here's a crime number for your insurance" but no shortage of resources to stand around at a puddle eating bacon butties.😠

Oh don't worry, if someone gets misgendered on the local Facetok page they'll be off with the blue lights and sirens before you can say "Terf". They know the real priorities do our plods!
Because there won't actually be a TRO in place, We don't see what's on the highways signage, could just read "CAUTION FLOOD WATER". And there's nothing stopping any motorist driving down a temporary road closure, police cannot stop you unless your likely to harm yourself or others. (Insurance small print will restrict you from making a claim for any damages though) They will have had conversations with regular passenger car drivers recommending they turn around but taller vehicles told "proceed at your own risk" you know doing community policing like the old days.. Many rural roads where left closed for 7+ days local to me recently due to flooding, after 12 hours I was more than comfortable driving both my Landrover and Work van down all but 2 of the "closed" roads. Highways left the road closure signs up for days after most roads had been completely clear for multiple days. If we had listened to the highways signage our entire village would have been blocked off for 4 days even though 2 of the 3 roads out of the village were totally clear after the initial "flash" flooding from the field run off had drained away.
Business as usual: multiple police constables, standing around, hands in pockets, not dealing with actual crime. No wonder their crime figures are utterly appalling...
Whenever I see public servants behaving like this, (check out #148 for a fine example) I am reminded of the old Bing Crosby number - We're busy doing nothing, working the whole day through, trying to find lots of things not to do. We're busy going nowhere - isn't it just a crime. We'd like to be unhappy but - we never do have the time. A line from the next verse goes- I have to watch the river to see that it doesn't stop - somewhat prophetic in these circumstances!
Why does this need more than one copper? Why aren’t the rest of them stopping criminals? I thought they said they were short of officers….obviously not.
The most damaging myth of all time is you need to keep the rev's up and keep some speed up. This dates back to the days when spark plug leads were not well protected and old fashioned points based ignition that did produce a weaker spark at lower rev's (as the points opened slower, slower magnetic field collapse in coil etc), the idea being higher rev's meant a stronger spark that could punch through the damp and some spark get to the plug. Cars for decades now have electronic ignition that triggers the coil the same at any engine speed so keeping up revs is totally pointless, you can now go as slow as you can and its fine, the slower the less bow wave, the less likely to get water in your engine.
@@wagmiorngmi No Laddie I am not, and you don't need to keep the revs up to keep water out the exhaust, normal engine speed is more than enough. I guess your not technically qualified, Son.
@@robc8593 Sorry, normal engine speed is not enough. The exhaust leaving each cylinder continues moving after the valve closes. This creates a vacuum behind the gas, pulling some gas back towards the valve. The exhaust therefore pulses, which can be heard and felt at the tailpipe. Normal tickover, will draw some water in each time the exhaust pulses, but does not expel it all as the gas next pushes out. On many vehicles it will gently fill the exhaust with water, and can draw it back all the way to the cylinder, including pulling it up. Whilst this seems to go against expectations, and apparently defy physics, it does happen, and has been seen to do so, including in experimental testing. If, however, anyone wishes to disprove this, by all means park in a pond at tickover, film it, and let us all know how it goes. Good luck. Much easier to stay out of water, unless in a boat.
It amazes me that few people know that water and car engines don't mix and that possibly a right off after for a stupid mistake, in day time water is visible no excuse
Have never seen so many police in one spot doing sweet fa. If the road is closed why let people through and wave them on It’s a ford It swells when it rain 🤔 Maybe it’s a training day At least it gets them out of McDonald’s car park Well done
I know this ford well and have often seen stranded or broken vehicles there and I’ve driven through it many time when it’s been deep But it still amazes me why people seem to think the faster you go at it the more chance you have of getting thought it 🤬 And now we are wasting tax payers money (my tax payers money as I live there) for the police to stand about telling people the water is wet
2 cop cars , 4/ 6 cops doing nothing, have they ran out of hurty words to investigate, obviously not bothering with burglaries any more ,or is this the safest place in england ,
having the odd ford to cross is bit like tradition my dad watched ford when he was young when was young we went down the park to see ford and stayed watched for while that over 30 years ago for me and far longer since my dad was young walking down to see cars go through ford. sadly the governments do all that to get bridge of anything British at all cost , red, blue, green.yellow all anti uk. every year more and more interference less things we allowed to do. why not let us be, locals already got things sorted like rescue prob better organised than the cops. if i could go back 20-30 years and stay same age i would things were just far better then we had freedom sadly that getting taken away from us more and more every year we need to vote out two party system and rid 4 anti uk anti uk people party's.
What’s next?
4 police officers getting paid to stand near a bend when it’s snowing, to warn people it might be slippy ?
Good vid Ben 👌

I guess this is what constitutes a police response in Bedfordshire lol... it's not even that deep I'd take my Astra through this no issue.
