I want to give a little extra info on popularmmos, for those who didn't watch him or at least during the fall. Jen was so close to the channel, and their relationship showed in the videos. When they broke up, you could see the repercussions in the videos too. They seemed forced to do this, instead of happy to. They never did the natural jokes they used to either, as part of being forced. They lost many subscribers from this, not just because they broke up, but because their channel also broke up.
And then there was also the Elani incident and how she spreaded lies about Pat which resulted to some of his “fans” turning on him and now he has COVID (which is probably why he didn’t upload?)

My childhood changed so much. I stopped watching PopularMMOs for two years(TH-cam unsubbed me and I forgot about the channel) get this video and see pat and jen then find out they split up (and that pat got a gold digger girlfriend afterwards) my childhood has been ruined. Honestly I appreciate Stampy so much for the farewell video with Lee, so many of his viewers, including myself, likely didn't even know what sexual assault was, and making a video addressing the topic in a serious manner would have probably had a negative impact on his fanbase of mostly minors 10-. I have so much admiration for him making it a peaceful and light-hearted farewell for his child audience, while still leaving the ability for his older viewers to do their own research on the situation if they felt the need, I've never seen things like this handled in such a way before or even since.
Holy shit. PopularMMOs was my childhood hero, but when I stopped watching him for a while, he’s in a fucked up place. This is what makes me not want to grow up. Dealing with the loss of my favorite things.
He was part of my childhood. I watched him a lot in elementary. It was a while ago and I checked his channel just to see whats up and I saw that him and Jen broke up, got covid, and dated/broke up with a gold digger. Life's pretty hard for him now. I guess 2020 really was the worst year for him.

This is me, but I Didint follow the mob, rather I was uninterested with Minecraft at the time, and I was unintended with some of these content, most importantly popular mmo, he continuesly did the same thing over and over wich made me get bored of Popularmmmos channel and Minecraft in general

I feel like the major difference between the modern TH-camrs and previous ones are the aspect of the game they are focusing on. Almost all TH-camrs in the past gained popularity through the reviews of mods, maps, and role-plays. This was mainly because the game wasn't simply as developed. It was lacking in interesting features, causing almost all content to be made off modifications. But with modern TH-camrs, after countless updates, their content focuses more on the game *itself.* There are so many new features and opportunities for new players to learn about the game through TH-camrs. Most modern content focuses on pvp, game tactics and strategies, and building/Redstone.
I miss the older content more. I don’t enjoy the new style as much, feels like the creators don’t show their personality as much in how they play. Or maybe it’s just the veteran “new Minecraft bad old Minecraft good” hive mind infecting me

Stampy was pretty much my childhood and a few days ago I took a trip down memory lane and searched for stampy's channel and I cried at the intro because I was showing some kids what I grew up with, its amazing that he is still going
Yeas I would say so for the command block side of things. I remember SethBling for his redstone stuff in the early days of the game and I can’t think of anyone making that type of content today
he wasnt mentioned in the video but im glad etho is still doing just as well as he always has. he was always one that kinda flew just under the radar probably due to his much more chill, mature and technical approach to minecraft, but he still trucks along with good views probably for that same reason. instead of viewers growing out of his content like with stampy or popularmmos which appealed a lot more to younger viewers, ethos videos of him tinkering with complex builds in survival really stay just as engaging even as an adult viewer. The maddest respect for the guy i could possibly give. made my childhood and yet never got old
About Sparklez , its his personality that got me stayed subscribed to him all the way from 2012 till now. Although i did not watch any of his vid throughout 2017 and 2018 but by the end of 2019 and 2020 his content actually gotten a lot better than it was back then. He is truely 1 of the few OG that is worth staying .

as a child at the time, Stampy is the youtuber who really allowed me to see the beauty in the simplest of things, not only in Minecraft but for some reason it extended to the real world. for me that what made his channel so special.

dan is still doing pretty good, though he stopped putting up Minecraft videos about a year or so before the fall. he just branched out to newer games and then never uploaded Minecraft again, though he has put up a Minecraft hardcore series if you want to watch that.

I remember coming across Stampy and Popular’s channels and had fun watching them as a kid. Whether it’d be stampy in his usual minecraft world having fun or Popular doing lucky block challenges or mod reviews. It hurted to see what became of them.
Pat just really needs a break. I've been watching Popularmmos since I was 11 so him and Jen are an amazing part of my childhood. Pat's been through so much this year, but it seems very likely that his channel will grow again soon and I'll stay loyal no matter what. ✨😄
I've been watching pat since I was 4 or 5 and I'm in middle school now still kinda watching him not as often now but I hope the best for him and for pat to have a much better next year 2020 has been hard for us all
I watched his first ever Minecraft series at 6 and I've missed only a few videos since then but I'm miss him, he was LITERALLY my dad and Jen was my mom, when I was upset I didn't run to my parents I ran to TH-cam to watch a popular MMOs video

i remember when i once danced to some of their intro songs each time i watched, i remember voting on who would win a challenge, i remember the buildings they would make, and the challenges they would do, and i remember always saying stuff like wow or cool when they made some big build. but now i barely remember these youtubers since i watched this videos/saw it on my reccomended, im really sad that i found out that these youtubers have gone down.
There's a reason why TH-camrs like pewds Mark and Jack have such dedicated fan bases because their content and humour gradually grew with their audience. Unlike channels like SSundee and other old Minecraft TH-camrs. They all went down the path to make their content only appeal to children. Dan seems to be doing well too. He's now making a lot more reaction videos which I enjoy a couple of the time.

Many of the MC youtubers have been apart of my childhood and I there was one (Samgladiator) who made an entire Highschool Minecraft series with his friends. I remember being so excited to watch the new episodes everyday after school. A few years after that series ended, I found it again and I tried to watch it again. Sadly, things changed and I could no longer feel the same excitement towards the series as I used too... But it makes me smile just remembering those days

I'm glad I stuck with Minecraft. I always watched Jordon (CaptainSparklez) since early 2010s and still watch him today. I had thoughts about dropping Minecraft, but seeing him stick with the game inspired to to keep playing it as well.
It's sometimes nice but also sad to see what has happened to some of these minecraft youtubers, like stampy and popular they where my childhood and it saddens me to see these things happen, I hope they can keep producing videos.

PopularMMOS used to be synonymous with Orespawn. And after the mob battles stopped I lost reason to keep watching. I still rewatch the challenge games sometimes though
I grew up on Stampy videos. I remember going back and watching episodes 80 to 150, which is when I found him. I kept watching up until about episode 400. Eventually I grew out of it. I occasionally go back to stampy's videos just out of pure nostalgia. But I hope. Genuinely hope. That Stampy is still making content decades into the future. When I have kids, I want them to have the same nostalgic childhood I had watching Stampy. It's like memory lane recalling all the old videos...

i cant help but shed a tear, Minecraft content and minecraft youtubers have changed so much over the years, i watched these youtubers all the time, sitting infront of the ipad for hours on youtube, they made my childhood way better, and seeing them changing so much hits hard, Minecraft surely has a special place in our hearts. Legends, absolutely legends.
The fact is that all of those from 2010 to about 2016 made our childhoods however we all grew up. But the downfall was that these wonderful people stayed where they were or grew up with us, and yet what hurts the most is those who tried to grow up with us and failed, and unfortunately, their lives got hurt and those who looked back felt the pain.

Honestly I appreciate Stampy so much for the farewell video with Lee, so many of his viewers, including myself, likely didn't even know what sexual assault was, and making a video addressing the topic in a serious manner would have probably had a negative impact on his fanbase of mostly minors 10-. I have so much admiration for him making it a peaceful and light-hearted farewell for his child audience, while still leaving the ability for his older viewers to do their own research on the situation if they felt the need, I've never seen things like this handled in such a way before or even since.

Holy shit. PopularMMOs was my childhood hero, but when I stopped watching him for a while, he’s in a fucked up place. This is what makes me not want to grow up. Dealing with the loss of my favorite things.
He was part of my childhood. I watched him a lot in elementary. It was a while ago and I checked his channel just to see whats up and I saw that him and Jen broke up, got covid, and dated/broke up with a gold digger. Life's pretty hard for him now. I guess 2020 really was the worst year for him.

This is me, but I Didint follow the mob, rather I was uninterested with Minecraft at the time, and I was unintended with some of these content, most importantly popular mmo, he continuesly did the same thing over and over wich made me get bored of Popularmmmos channel and Minecraft in general

I feel like the major difference between the modern TH-camrs and previous ones are the aspect of the game they are focusing on. Almost all TH-camrs in the past gained popularity through the reviews of mods, maps, and role-plays. This was mainly because the game wasn't simply as developed. It was lacking in interesting features, causing almost all content to be made off modifications. But with modern TH-camrs, after countless updates, their content focuses more on the game *itself.* There are so many new features and opportunities for new players to learn about the game through TH-camrs. Most modern content focuses on pvp, game tactics and strategies, and building/Redstone.

he wasnt mentioned in the video but im glad etho is still doing just as well as he always has. he was always one that kinda flew just under the radar probably due to his much more chill, mature and technical approach to minecraft, but he still trucks along with good views probably for that same reason. instead of viewers growing out of his content like with stampy or popularmmos which appealed a lot more to younger viewers, ethos videos of him tinkering with complex builds in survival really stay just as engaging even as an adult viewer.

There's a reason why TH-camrs like pewds Mark and Jack have such dedicated fan bases because their content and humour gradually grew with their audience. Unlike channels like SSundee and other old Minecraft TH-camrs. They all went down the path to make their content only appeal to children. Dan seems to be doing well too. He's now making a lot more reaction videos which I enjoy a couple of the time.

Many of the MC youtubers have been apart of my childhood and I there was one (Samgladiator) who made an entire Highschool Minecraft series with his friends. I remember being so excited to watch the new episodes everyday after school. A few years after that series ended, I found it again and I tried to watch it again.
Sadly, things changed and I could no longer feel the same excitement towards the series as I used too...
But it makes me smile just remembering those days

I grew up on Stampy videos. I remember going back and watching episodes 80 to 150, which is when I found him. I kept watching up until about episode 400. Eventually I grew out of it. I occasionally go back to stampy's videos just out of pure nostalgia. But I hope. Genuinely hope. That Stampy is still making content decades into the future. When I have kids, I want them to have the same nostalgic childhood I had watching Stampy. It's like memory lane recalling all the old videos...

Agreed! I used to watch him all the time and I loved the wonder quest series. That series also taught me so many things that i didn’t understand at school. After him I moved on to PopularMMos but he hasn’t been doing great lately
Yep! I would watch him all the time. I even thought his rocket really worked so I built it. Including his hot air balloon. Those were some good times. But now I'm worrying about real world stuff like covid, government, etc. Depressing times.

Dude stampy was my childhood. I remember when I was younger switching from Java to Xbox so I could play like stampy. These new Minecraft players can have their Technoblade and TommyWhat'HisFace but to me Stampy, Pat, and Dan are the TRUE Kings of Minecraft

Its so weird seeing this. I was part of the CaptainSparklez crowd, but I never really interacted with MC TH-camrs outside of him. So many people I've heard about, but never watched.

i cant help but shed a tear, Minecraft content and minecraft youtubers have changed so much over the years, i watched these youtubers all the time, sitting infront of the ipad for hours on youtube, they made my childhood way better, and seeing them changing so much hits hard, Minecraft surely has a special place in our hearts. Legends, absolutely legends.
The fact is that all of those from 2010 to about 2016 made our childhoods however we all grew up. But the downfall was that these wonderful people stayed where they were or grew up with us, and yet what hurts the most is those who tried to grow up with us and failed, and unfortunately, their lives got hurt and those who looked back felt the pain.

i must thank you so much, i used to watch stampy a long time ago when i was younger and im from the netherlands and didn't understand anything what he said. but that didnt stop me to watch his minecraft videos, i went to check and he still uploads minecraft videos!!!
