The page that Shadow tore out of his book and gave to Beta was a different page than the "soy sauce" page. Eta translated it correctly. However, Shadow assumed it would take her weeks, not hours.
The anime doesn't explain this properly. Cid did in fact give Beta a note with his plan, but he never thought the girls would be able to translate it. Even though Cid was unaware of the cult's plan, he saw that the girls had exploited the market too aggressively, and that it was only a matter of time before it collapsed. Cid wanted the glory of returning with the gold and being able to say "Look, I saved you", while making it clear that the gold was now his (since he never considered the gold made by Gamma to be his).
This whole arc solidified Cid as one of my favorite characters and one of my GOATS, also Cid's note did say what was translated by the Shadow Garden members, the stuff about Soy Sauce, and random stuff was him reading the "book" while he was on the train
Just to make things clear, the bullshit note he was using to write down his ideas is not the same as the one he gave Betta(he wrote that one on the spot to give it to her). Which is also why he is running away, because he presumes that they cracked the code and know all he did. Also points to the translation for doing quite a good job with Cid's misunderstanding, if you listen to the Gettan's words it's: •yuki=snow •Yukime=our fox girl Easy to see why he thought it was buried beneath the snow(and yes the moment he left, Delta found something that will surely benefit Shadow Garden and speak highly of his genius).
He did write what they read on the note, but of course he underestimated Eta’s ability to decipher it that quickly lol. Still, he’s a real one for actually writing that out for them.
The funniest thing in this entire arc is that Cid tries to rob Mitsugoshi of its gold ... not realizing that it's his money in the end. Just like he thinks Gamma ripped off his business ideas, he thinks Beta ripped off the stories he told her, and Epsilon ripped off the musics he played for her.
Just to explain about the note: He really DID write that on another piece of paper and he was just showing off, thinking they would never decode the message and decided to show off his plan just to feel cool that he gave information and nobody could stop him, which is a very stupid move telling someone where his money is .
3:00 Nah. Those bells were exchanged for their engagement. 13:12 I do think that John Smith also heals her other scars right here. 13:54 Damn. That to ya'll a while. I thought you understood after they deciphered the note that the girls were the ones who took the gold. 18:17 At the moment , I can't remember what Delta found, but I do know it is important.
If the result he the deliver is always the best no matter what everyone else say would not have any importance. Even if he say he lies if the outcome of it always prove for the best, he will only be viewed as being humble.
The note Cid gave did say what was translated. The anime did a bad job showing he gave that to Beta. Also Delta vs Juggernaut was only portrayed in the companion shorts, Kagejitsu. Even then Juggernaut got no respect.
Enjoyed the reaction. This was a good arc for getting more of Shadow Garden especially Alpha, Gamma (her fight was great), and Delta (her best arc yet).
Shadow was definitely an ass in this particular arc. You DON'T make Alpha and Gamma cry! But he got what he deserved at the end: no money for Shadow sama today.

ya Shadow/Cid does talk to Delta like to a kid and very relaxed since she pretty simple, while the rest see him in a high noble/king like attitude.
Cid himself is plot armer and script writer 😂😂😂
Cid gave Beta his fanfiction but as always it became reality
snow = yuki
