His attempt to say Yukime caused Cid to misunderstand him and think he was talking about snow. This led him to think that it was buried in the snow in the direction he pointed. She was already working in the underground. She is effectively a mob boss and Shadow Garden has just killed her competition for control over the Lawless City. Mitsugoshi already had a monopoly on several products they recreated from Earth using the information Cid told them about. Yukime had already been making bootlegged versions of some of their products.
The only thing about this that I wonder about is that while Yuki does mean snow, that is in Japanese and the language they're using is a different one so Cid would have to assume someone knows Japanese.
The light novel essentially spells out he's actually better at fighting without a weapon than with a sword because you aren't allowed to carry weapons on earth. He's spent more years on earth than he's spent in this world. That's why Gettan just got completely wrecked.

The anime makes me think of the light novel/manga "I'm Really Not The Evil God's Lackey", which is about a transmigrated book lover running a bookstore, but he's 'misinterpreted' as a omniscient power controlling everything. ... Its not until much later in the light novel that you start to realized that he actually is the created persona/alter personality of the evil god who's been trying to control everything for thousands of years, and just doesn't know it.
