we love the handle upgrade but realized the lock blocker is not at all necessary. The added pull handle was something we did on our last one and always appreciated it.

I’ll be adding the 3” drawer handle to my Home Depot list. What length of screw did you end up using for the door handle versus the standard screws?

Hello and thanks or watching. I sure wish I could remember but this was over 20 months ago and I dont recall. Whenever you are at Home Depot deciding on a handle, just go over to the hardware section and find a screw of like size thread and get one that shorter. The plate you are mounting it to is only 1/8" (ish) thick so it doesn't need anything long. Also recommend putting some blue loctite on the screw when you put it in.

I like the door pull idea. I assume you pull it closed instead of slamming? I’ve started slamming when closing from the inside when there’s not neighbors nearby to annoy because the black plate is starring to bow.

yes, the pull handle is to pull it vice slam it. That handle reinforcement screw will work very well too!

After multiple Airstreams, we believe the handle situation is much better than it used to be and for someone who is an occasional camper, it's not an issue at all. However constant use of full-time living, can create issues. This is particularly true when the door needs adjustment and one keeps pulling the door closed causing the handle inside to become loose. The 'lock blocker' is something we've realized is not at all necessary. We've never locked ourselves out but got this along with many other items from Phil to demonstrate options one has for upgrades on their rig.
