What year is your unit? My wife and I have been looking at Airstreams and really like them. Our 2019 Lance 2375 has some serious mouse problems and the way it's put together it's practically impossible to get where I need to to get rid of them. We mainly dry camp and really liked the equipment on the 25 foot Trade wind but there just isn't enough storage. My wife likes the back hatch in the Fkying Cloud but if we install a serious solar/lithium system I'm worried it would take up too much room. I prefer the 28rb because the extra storage capacity. The new units are awfully expensive so I'm considering buying used. Just looking for any advice I can get since we don't know anything about airstreams.

Hi Brad, Thank you so much for your videos. I have been binge watching and appreciate the detail you include. We are in the very early stages of researching RVs. So far we like the International floor plan you have. I have a few questions if you don’t mine. Do you purchase new? If so, why? Does airstream do any custom modifications with regard to the floor plan? i.e. counter w/ drawers under the living area TV instead of the seat that doesn’t like it would be that comfortable under the TV? Great video!! I have looked at trying to do the same in our 2023 23FBT but cannot figure out a reasonably easy way of running the return line and installing the four way valve. This is probably my biggest Airstream frustration at the moment.

How do you know when the water has gotten up to desired temperature before flipping the lever?

On the Airstream forum an owner listed all the Parts you need to do this and the sources. I did mine in just two hours. I would never have an RV without one again. It is a mandatory mod for on-demand water heaters. So much so, that any mfg that uses an on-demand heater should have these as standard.

Great upgrade and tutorial, Brad. I would love to do this exact same project in my AS, but I’ve got a smaller rear bath trailer with the shower - and the actual shower valve itself - in the corner, so my access to the shower valve & plumbing is a lot more limited that your larger rig, so I’m still thinking it through. One additional step I would probably take if I do figure it out for my trailer would be to add a back flow preventer/check valve at the point where the pex return line attaches to the fresh water fill pipe ( this would be on the grey tee in your case). Only because I work in the plumbing trade and that’s something we tend to keep in mind in situations where there’s the potential for water to flow in the “wrong direction”. This may well be a theoretical possibility in this particular scenario, but possibly worth considering. Thanks again for the tutorial, really appreciate your channel, you’ve been a great resource for me since we’ve recently acquired our first travel trailer/Airstream!

You could always use compressed air to blow out that short line to the tank. Might need to take the cap off the outside filler or open the tank drain. Based on an RV Tips and Travels video I put compressed air in my tank and get an extra gallon of water to come out of the drain when winterizing. You could do that with this setup.

Does it works with a device without Apple CarPlay buit-in? I have a Uconnect 7 screen on a Fiat 500. Today if i Connect my phone in the usb Port i only have access to the musics on the phone. With this device will it mirror my iPhone on the car display? Thanks

I added mine 3 weeks ago. I put 4 screws in mine. I also scraped the sealant off the base to get the window to set flat. I also took the shade shroud off and sealed the screw holes from the inside. Worst part was taking off the old one. Great upgrade for roof integrity.

Using 3m Adhesive promoter will make the wire tie down anchors adhere extremely better. Ask me how I know. : )

Don’t plug your vents, because your furnace will see the restriction in airflow and cause the over temp switch to kill the furnace and make it shut off…that’s what I was told.

Hi Brad you may have a previous video on mattresses, but I am unaware. Do you use the original factory mattress with the Froli?....or did you upgrade your mattress prior to the Froli?

Hey Brad, I seem to recall you installed a “soft start” on your AC’s when y’all got this new rig. Which system, and are you still happy with it? Pros/cons? Anything you’d do differently? I’m considering putting one on both my AC’s.

Looking forward to replacing ours! We have been put for 17 days and never opened pur shades because the factory ones allow so much heat to penitrate.

Great job, my friend! Ronnie replaced ours when we were in Dadeville and we have never looked back! The past week we have experienced some major rain and hail and lived to tell the story. I used to worry about the original skylights breaking from hail and water pouring in but now I rest peacefully. At least as peaceful as you can when it is hailing.

Good video…. Could you possibly add any clarity to the Maxim order process? Maxim seems to require a form with precise dimensions. It would appear to require one to climb up and look downward thru the original skylights to attempt to get those measurements? Can they supply the standard two openings for a recent model 27 FBT without the effort or can the dimensions be had from inside the Camper ???? Thanks
