Getting close to retirement and my wife and I are planning on a trip to Ireland so hearing what living there is like is very informative. Thank you, great video.

My dad is retiring soon and plans to come stay in Ireland for a few months! Can’t wait. You will love it. Great place to visit.

When does hot summer or warm spring starts in Dublin that doesn’t have unstable weather ? Like warm all day or hot all day or does that doesn’t exist there ?

It doesn’t really exist 😁 The closest you’ll get is June or July but you may leave the house when it’s warm and by afternoon it’s raining or grey and windy. Last year we had an uncharacteristic heat wave for 2 weeks at the end of July (global warming, most of Europe got hit with some hotter weather).

Great video, it's very true that it's been drummed into Irish people not to get a big head. The difference in general confidence and extrovertedness between Americans and Irish people is one of the biggest differences between the two countries.
Interesting point about the water, I grew up in the south west of Ireland where we have soft water. I would watch adverts for limescale removers and things thinking they were a scam cos we never got white in our kettle. Then I moved to Portlaoise for work and the water's rock hard! I was putting in the same amount of detergent as back home and the clothes didn't even smell washed! Just a case of getting used to it I suppose.

Definitely. I think the “fighting Irish” stereotype makes Americans think that Irish people are very confrontational or extroverted but it’s almost the opposite.
Thankfully my hair seems to have gotten used to the water to some degree because it’s looking way better these days! Lol
