    Wow, I didn’t get a numbing cream before and I saw some people were getting a bandage after. I didn’t get that either. 🤔 Should I switch removal clinics?

    • @candicefoy
      @candicefoy 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hmm I always got numbing cream at the first place I went. Once a lot of the ink was cleared I didnt need numbing cream. But definitely bandaged after to protect the skin from further irritation. There is always some light blistering.

    Thank you so much for sharing your journey. I got a fully black tattoo on my arm about a year and a half ago and it was one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made. I started the removal process shortly after getting it. I think about it so often and it really weighs on me as I constantly am hiding it because I hate it so much. Watching your videos gives me hope and really shows that it just takes a lot of patience but that the results are amazing! One of your replies said you're around 15 sessions in. Do you mind sharing over what time period? I have been doing sessions every 2-4 months. Thanks so much :)

      It was about 4 years progress for me. I continued to get sessions after that here and there because I am removing others so might as well get a session done on the light remaining ink in the thigh. But if I couldnt get any more sessions I would be completely happy with the clearance I have now. Once yours is faded enough that you are comfortable to expose the body part, it will be such a relief!! I know the sinking feeling of omg why did I get this tattoooo

    This is so helpful. I started using trentinoin about a month ago. I developed instant sleep problems. It never occurred to me a topical cream could cause insomnia. I haven’t fallen asleep before 1 or 2 am since I started using it. I was doing elimination with so many things to try to figure out the problem. This morning I googled insomnia and trentinoin and your video popped up. It makes sense because I go to bed very sleepy but after I put on the cream, I lose all sleepiness. Bummed though because I love how clear my skin has been.

    • @candicefoy
      @candicefoy หลายเดือนก่อน

      That was me too! I would be sooo sleepy then suddenly have energy after the cream. Super sucks!! Maybe try putting it on way earlier like 4 or 5 pm? I know a dermatologist that wears it during the day even though thats not usually recommended.

    Thank you so much for all the helpful tips! I had my first session three weeks ago to remove a black tattoo about the size of a 20-euro banknote. Unfortunately, in the past few days, I’ve experienced an allergic reaction, including skin irritation and intense itching. I just started getting tattoo removal on my wrists, one session in, and already seeing results. I want to get a big tattoo removed on my thigh through the winter months, probably starting end of August time. I had it added to which was a mistake. Not long after i had it done, I realised my issue is with the original tattoo that my ex designed for me. I just can't look at it, a lesson learned there in trying to add to a tattoo when you should just get it removed. I'm nervous about the thigh and how painful it's going to be. Do you have any tips on how to deal with the initial pain as it's being lasered? 😅

    • @candicefoy

      I had 10% lidocaine cream applied every session on my thigh until there was barely any ink left now I can get sessions without numbing. I also found the thigh to be less painful than other locations just like the tattoo was less painful there! Maybe because it’s more fatty than boney

    THIS. I can’t sleep when I use tretinoin. My skin crawls and feels itchy about 20 minutes after application and if I do fall asleep I have vivid dreams and wake up every 30 minutes. It’s been this way since day 1. My husband tried Tret and had the same experience. The derm said it’s ridiculous and not the Tret. I absolutely disagree. It’s banned in Canada and Europe because of its systemic absorption and it’s linked to birth defects. It’s also linked to poor liver function and autoimmune disease. No one wants to admit it or research it…

    Hi Candice, I’ve been using a retinol night cream (0.1%) for two years with no problem. Then in February I increased the dose to 0.3%. In late February, completely without any warning whatsoever, I developed an horrific insomnia where I simply could not fall asleep all night. And the night after that. And then every single night since for almost three months. I’ve never had insomnia in my life beforehand. Needless to say it’s been utter torture and quite possibly the worst experience of my life. I’ve systematically eliminated all the possibilities I could think of and started an excellent sleep hygiene regime but none of it worked at all. Then, I discovered a number of Reddits and TH-cam channels reporting retinol creams can also cause horrific insomnia, so I stopped using retinol ten days ago. My sleep hasn’t improved yet. How long did it take for your sleep to return to normal after ceasing the retinol?

    • @candicefoy
      @candicefoy 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is very similar to me! I did CBT-I therapy because after months of insomnia I had actually developed a fear of not sleeping. This helped me get my sleep back on track. If I use retinol or something with high vitamin a now, I will not sleep at all that night. I would say my sleep returned pretty quicky but like I said, since I had now developed a sleep disorder, I did have to correct that too. The Insomnia Coach on TH-cam has great resources.

      Weight lifting is really good for you and tattoo removal! I would definitely keep it up through out tattoo removal, you will have quicker clearance of ink. Depends on where the tattoo is and how large it it but for the most part I could do anything 24 hours after. If the tattoo is very big you might want to wait 3 days after a session because it might be sore but as long as you shower after and keep area clean you are all good. Is your tattoo small or big? Soreness and redness is definitely normal. Mine would be slightly red for about a week after but gradually less and less red. I usually get a blister or two a few days after treatment that takes a few days to heal. Make sure you keep it covered/protected and out of the sun :)

    This is amazing and very encouraging to see how well it’s removed on your thigh, how many treatments roughly do you think you’ve done altogether to get this far with your thigh tattoo?! Again this is amazing and very encouraging! It’s taken quite some time and I’m sure your excited about your results :)

      Yes, it's been a while but so glad I did it. At this point I've had about 15 sessions I believe. I may not get another session for a while. It's kind of just when I feel like it now but I am overall happy with the clearance :) There is a new laser coming out called LightSense so I think I will wait for that one to remove other tattoos

    Hey it’s been 3 years can you give an update on the yellow ink? I have yellow and red in my sleeve and I’d like to know if it does end up completely removed! Please lmk
