I love this pencil! I tell you the truth, I was a Tombow Mono 100 lover for what seemed like forever (JetPens was only a click away). Last year I think it was in November, I saw a Blackwing video by you, ordered a sampler from Amazon ... a friend gave me her sampler set before mine arrived from Korea. I fell hard for the original Blackwing, but after a few days I just could not take the smudging. Tried the Pearl, yup - you gave the perfect review (as always), thank you! I started watching your videos daily (you are an enabler ;o). Finally, I got the nerve up to ask if I could get some pencils from you. In that bundle was this pencil - 9852EW and I love it! Definitely in my top 3. Ordered and received a box from Amazon last week. You really do give the best reviews. I'm now a Blackwing Snob (No. 24), and I got my Hi Uni pencil set to do the MB grading. I'm having a ball! Thanks.
+Xadoby Awesome Good question. So I took both out and compared them with some writing. Frankly, I cannot really differentiate between the two. They both write pretty much the same to me. Smooth, good tonal quality. So it comes down to whether you prefer Burgundy or natural wood colored. The price is pretty much the same, around $9-$10 per dozen.
I love this one. A favorite. Why does Mitsubishi refer to them as “recycling” pencils. I saw one comment that indicated the wood was recycled. If so...all the better.
Great video ! when I want to see a review of some pencil I want to buy, I watch some videos about it from your channel. by the way I think the 9800ew is the same as 9852 (9800ew doesn't have erasor).

Didn't know that. Interesting.
It's a very exciting video! I think Japanese pencils are smooth...
Did you test the Faber-Castell MAX (or Presto) pencils? They're cheap in Brazil.
