This melody originated in Boston Massachusetts in 1843 and was composed by Daniel Decatur Emmett.
Good read on the tune here: hdl.huntington...
Thanks for watching,
Tyler
What is the craziest thing you've ever seen a Boatmen do? I once saw a 1 legged Boatmen rowing with his only leg down the Ohio River.
✌️❤️from Kentucky

That one slapped me plumb in the calaboose!
Better than being stabbed in the heart with a bayonet!

Thank you Danny!
I really like this version. Natural and heart sounding
Thank you!
Now this, this is what Men want. So nice to watch ya'll play! I've picked up Banjo myself, absolutely love it.
Awesome! Let me know if there's any way I can help with the banjo.
@tylerjgifford Thanks man, I appreciate it! I have a relatively cheap bluegrass banjo. Took out the resonator, but kept the metal strings. The neck twists with one side higher, however I fixed that. Still, Chords just.. Do not sound right? Like, at all. A bit hard to explain over a comment lol.
Shoot me an email with a video if you'd like to! tylerjosiahgifford@gmail.com
It's probably something simple like the bridge intonation. If it sounds in tune/OK open, but when you chord, especially up the neck, the intonation is probably off because the bridge isn't placed properly. It's a super easy fix, but kind of hard to explain over TH-cam comments like you said.
@@tylerjgifford Ah, absolutely! That makes a lot of sense, I will look into that. I appreciate the advice, and will send an email later on if I can! Anyways I appreciate the advice, God bless!
