What's a song you like to listen to or play to get your misery out?

You should do a tutorial on how to pick a banjo, got one a month ago and I can pick with my thumb but doing the claw is damn hard. Love your music!

Thank you, and welcome to the banjo world! So glad to hear you are new to the instrument.
I touched on this very briefly in a video I did a while ago here:

Hopefully it can give you some insight/something to chew on until I whip up a new/better video on some playing styles.

I’ve got to say Bonny Blue Eyes is a good “playing your misery out” tune, I’ve never heard of this tune, it’s a good one.

Oh man that one is such a pitiful song isn't it? Great song for the criteria of playing your misery out.

Nicely done, thanks Tyler. Don't know quite why this reminds me of Furry Lewis, but it does. As for your getting the misery out question, that would be "Megalomania" by Black Sabbath. 🙄

Thank you! I truly believe that there is a gateway from metal music to banjo. I've seen far too many examples (me being one of them) 🤣
