We’ll done!!! You’ve now encouraged me to have a go. Ours dual axle so will do what you’ve done and practice in a car park. Thanks for the inspiration!!!
Erin did so well! I will have to do a test like this as well, we just bought our first caravan and I am stressing about it, but watching Erin made me feel much more calm! Thanks guys for this vid!
Erin, you did so well and I love the way you both communicate to each other. It’s a bit scary but you were all over it from the moment you started. This gives me inspiration to do it myself as a solo female.
After the big weight loss in the van can you please show through inside the van your setup and storage etc. Keen to understand if the payload is reasonable or if bare bones now. Cheers
Hi Erin, Congrats on your reversing. Well done. From one female to another there is an easier way to understand which way to turn your steering wheel. The guys all say opposite down to the way you want to go. It's much easier to think ~ the way you want the back end of the caravan to go is the hand you lift. It's exactly the same but easier to understand. eg : if you want to swing the back of the van towards your left, you lift your left hand. Likewise if you want to swing your van to the right - lift your right hand. same results but I find it much easier than trying to think opposites. Cheers & enjoying your channel.
Great work, in time you will not think about it and it will become habit on how and when to turn. As you start to travel more, get behind the wheel for a stint and get comfortable with your length of the car and van, this will make it even easier when it comes time to back into somewhere or take the van into more difficult environments.
I got the clear view copy’s to. I did a water test with out the speaker reinstated. The water poured in on both. The outer mirror seals weren’t much chop. Just thought you’d be interested. Nice job with the towing tuition though.
Driving, reversing, emptying the cassette??? Soon you'll be cooking the BBQ Erin. Great job though and good instruction Alex. You've made it look easy and I think I'll give it a try now.
Awesome job, next is to get out in the back streets. I have issues directing my hubby into spots always ends up in an argument🤣 maybe that can be another one for you guys to video.
Nice work guys. Just a tip. Instead of using uhf use your mobile phones. Driver can then talk hands free and not have to hold uhf. This is also providing you have phone reception.....
Good tip keep ya hands on the bottom of the steering wheel and turn ya hands the direction you want the van to go ..Left hand up van goes left Right hand up van goes right so much easier ..
Straight line reversing is the best way to get the feel for it. Watch your mirrors, too much van in your left mirror, turn the wheel left a little, too much in the right, turn the wheel right a little. Always small corrections, always slowly slowly. You have heaps of space there, once you can keep it straight, start to do little snakes while reversing. Pretty soon you'll be able to do figure eights. The whole turn left if you want to go right is too confusing. You did a great job, you should pick it up really quick.
Great job Erin. That might be me soon.we pick up a new van tomorrow.I'll So I'm gonna have a go. If my 19 year old Son can reverse a van then I can too.lol
Congrats on the new van! Def have a go! Like Alex said, no one is born knowing how to do it! I think if your keen to have a go that’s half the battle won already 😊
I love it my husband would get angry at me trying to show me he hasn’t much patience I need more encouragement I’m not good at reversing a car either I try and avoid it!
"I don't need ya anymore! 😅😅😅😅 gold! Top stuff Erin looks daunting, but over time it gets easier? By the way you using go pros? What do you guys use/recommend?
I don’t know, I have t done any more driving 😂 we use go pros, sometimes a bit of iPhone footage goes in too. We have a go pro 9, it does what we need it too, but there is a 10 now, maybe worth looking into?
So we have a question for you now!! Did you comment on our port Macquarie video and then delete it? We are trying to wirk out if we have a problem with our TH-cam comments or if just a lot of people are deleting their comments lol we can’t reply to that one because we can’t see it lol
@@nowornever_aus @Now or Never Yeah, we've got a ranger which is on it's limits without towing a heavy caravan as bar work takes up a lot of kilos! 👎 So we're looking into the Next Gen Ranger if GCM and GVM stats come back good plus our caravan won't be ready till mid '23! 😅
I'm sitting here yelling "wtf does "keep chasing it" mean!!! 😂😂😂 stop talking man-language!!!! 😂 now try reversing a tiny 11 ft caravan. It's harder than a longer caravan!! Oh why oh why did I buy an 11ft caravan 😂😂😂
@@nowornever_aus I'll probably end up with a motorhome eventually. Much easier and warmer in winter 😂 wish they had interesting colourful ones here instead of big white boxes!!!
Awesome job Erin! We have a box trailer and I can’t even reverse that, but this video has given me so much encouragement, m going to give it another go! Thanks heaps Team! 😉
Well done guys. Team work makes the dream work

Well done Erin kiara and I have to do this soon, well done Alex what a great teacher very calm and directive
It’s def worth learning! And I don’t think I could have done it without Alex’s direction!
I’m so glad you didn’t know which buttons to use on the radio as I always have that problem as well no matter how many times I’m told.
Hahahaha oh I feel that lol and when I’m stressed all logical thinking goes out the window ☺️

Well done Erin - you did a great job especially given you have never towed and reserved anything before. I hope I do as well as you when it is my turn

Yeah we noticed that with the amount of wind noise we had after installing, ended up making seals for it which has helped, thanks for watching!

After hearing some of your life stories I have no doubt at all that you can do it!

I think Erin needs to loose those " fashion" sunnies.
Nothing like trying to reverse wearing sunnies

What a dream team!
Tip
Whatever direction the bottom of the steering wheel moves is the same direction the trailer/van will go.
Great tip, thank you!
Well done
Thanks!
Jesus that was a tough watch.
Easy to do in a car park like your in.
Wait till your in a van park and everyone from every where appears and watches !!!!!!

Put nose cones big red ones say bac it in there
Small turns
