Righto, now this one has been a long time coming!! WE'VE LOST COUNT of the amount of times we have been asked for this video, so finally!! Here it is!!
We have just packed our van for the next 5-6month roadtrip so we thought it would be a good time to show you where everything lives inside..

It all started when…
In December 2015 we packed up and hit the road for what we thought would be a 12 month Lap of Oz. Fast forward 6 years and we are creating a video series of our travels to show you all what it’s like to live life on the road!!

i recon there both doing great they make their living online they are constantly on camera that in itself would do most people's heads in .....they give it to each other at times but always with respect everyone has boundaries, and this lot know their place cheers from Queensland south
One thing we found that helped us out in the fridge was the additional shelf/cupboard bars, from Camco. They work great and come in single or double sizes
Thank guys for simplifying the van packing for me. I am a bit of a container fiend, but hubby is reminding me about the weight of the van etc. So yey, you have made it easier for me! 😊

Yep Clip the fridge door! I think it was our second trip going to the Gympie Muster and I didn't do it. Left Sunny Coast and got to Amamour to stop for the toilet. There was cider running out the door, most of the cans were on the floor and the fridge door was in the bedroom area!

Thanks for sharing how you pack your van. Some awesome tips there for us as we get ready for our lap kicking off in December. Loving how little you guys pack, especially three towels for the 5 of you. Not controversial at all. Makes sense.

One thing we do is tip the olive oil into a plastic spay bottle.
Just make sure it can't fall over.😊

I use our recyclable shopping bags to cart things to the van from the house and then to unpack the van when we return home. I also use baskets in our over head cupboards as it stops things dropping out, when they move whilst travelling. Thanks for a great video.
That's a great idea! We use our laundry basket to carry gear out
@@TripInAVan that’s what I used to use but it gets too heavy and it’s difficult to negotiate into the door of the van so changed to the bags. One in each hand is part of my weights workout for the day 😜.

Great video . We have just picked up our new ERV van (fully electric ) in Melbourne and are heading back home to Perth . It was fun transferring everything from our old van and finding places in our new van , so storage ideas always help . We also have Fusion Lock racks but have heard that they are damaging some surfaces . Have you heard of this happening ? Love your book Bec , its travelling with us ( from Perth and back again ) , a great addition to any van .

Thanks for an awesome video, the other option for your cords is a product called Click mesh tape, it is mesh with Velcro seal or flexi conduit or just Velcro tape would do

Egg story reminded me of a camper van trip in Ireland with best friend. We bought the largest hen eggs I’ve ever seen straight from a farm. I was so excited to eat these huge eggs 🥰 My friend told me she could drive a manual. She was first driver , around narrow winding lanes kangaroo hopping all the way.
Well the fridge came unclipped & I nearly died when I opened the side door. Every single egg smashed & had even slid into crevices we couldn’t get to. Worse, it had mixed with cream. I slid everywhere trying to clean it up . The van smelt after a few days.
I was devastated because I wanted to eat ‘ the worlds largest hen eggs, 😭
Thanks mum and dad, now i just need a caravan to store it in. Have fun home schooling, don't worry about naplan.

We have been canning for about 10 years now, learned a few things along the way.
We use washing baskets to carry out the food and clothes that go in draws to the van, easy to handle, carry heaps and fast to unload.
We use little baskets under the hanging clothes in the ensuite to put socks and undies in.
the washing baskets a great idea, we do that to.

We have about $10k worth of small plastic baskets inside each of upper cupboards and the fridge. We are bloody paranoid about things falling over when travelling 😂 Your comment about less is better is an absolute truism. It is glamping after all. Next to Velcro and cable ties, the inventors of Fusion Loc deserve a Nobel prize. They are fantastic bits of kit.

You obviously travel with your TV on the adjustable TV arm, I always take it off the place it on the bed for safety. Have you beefed up where your is installed so the weight of the TV will not pull the arm from the wall?

Yes I do!, just push it in to the wall. We don’t secure it with anything else
You guys forgot the most important part, the coffee machine! 🤣🤣🤣. How and where does that get stored??? Do you empty it before each departure?? We have the same machine as you guys so super keen on your input to that!!!?
We left it at home this time hey. It gets strapped to the bench though. We empty the tray before travel, but not the water tank

Living in Vic we need so many warm clothes.. even in summer definitely jealous of all that warm weather clothing!
Our draws are loaded with jumpers and jackets even for summer 😂
Yes and yes... We've just found that 3 towels is enough and way easier to hang than 5. And we are definitely lucky to not need so much warm weather gear, it takes up so much room

How do you deal with items rubbing together or rubbing on the inside of your draws/cupboards and making them look unsightly?
Also do you have a need to use the felt protector things between your pots/pans?
How many of your food items fall out of your overhead cupboards after a big drive? I see some people put extendable bars in front (like some van fridges have). But I would think maybe they would rattle out too?

Cheers mate. We don’t put any felt between items. Yeah they get rub marks on them but it doesn’t bother us😀 we don’t put rails in cupboards to stop things falling out. Seems to be ok, just don’t put heavy things in top cupboards

Both! Leave it on bracket mostly, but take it off on long corrugated dirt roads
Lots of tips in there! Personal preference but I'd probably keep our toothbrushes in a cupboard. Poo particles be clinging onto everythang 😂
I dunno about you but I poo in the toilet and don’t go flinging it around the ensuite😅

It’s just an extenda rail. You slide it out until there is pressure on both sides and the twist to lock it on

What portable IPL hair removal does Bec recommend/use?
Do you guys find your top cupboards get hot?? I find I can only put things up there that are not affected by heat. Also did you have any issues with your handi home extenda as they don’t review well.
Yeah the cupboards up top get warm, don’t store us chocolate up there😂😂 the rail has been great hey.. g’day moved since we put it up
