Thanks. I would do it, but I don't trust my handiwork, and when I am free to observe the mechanic do it, I can trust his work. For example, if I wasn't allowed to oversee mechanic working on my bike, I would not go to that shop, ever. I'll pay while I still can afford the labor. Maybe on a bicycle I would do it on my own. LoL. :)
Could you please tell me the reference of the wrench to remove the oil filter or the model? I have the same bike and I'm looking for a key so I can do the maintenance myself. Thank you!
I'll have to ask the mechanic next time, or you can opt for aftermarket filter like Maxima theirs has the bolt head on the end of the filter can use a normal wrench to install/remove it without special tool
I don't trust myself enough to do the job, so I'd rather spend the money than save money but potentially screw up my bike because of my sub-standard work. :) But if you know what you're doing and doing it right for sure you can save lots.
Great video! Two things: 1. Please use brake component cleaner, instead of using pressured air to blow off your brake dust! Modern brake pad materials are not supposed to contain asbestos anymore, but hey are still harmful. 2. I am not sure if it is a good idea to use garden hose to clean your chain. Use kerosene or the proper chain cleaner (degreaser) instead.
1. Not all shops that the brake cleaner, some resort to pressurized air, but yes it is harmful, do not breathe in the dust. 2. The solution he apply with the brush is kerosene or petrol before using the water hose to wash it off. Thanks for viewing!
hi bro..question forum the bmc air filter..do the bmc air filter make a diffrent in add some Power to your bike than the stock air filter? and how is the bmc filltering the dust ,sand and others over the stock air fillter? thanks bro
After market filters are considered performance filter because they increase the amount of air flow to the engine. Some say performance filter since allows more air, meaning the filtering is lesser than stock, I'm not sure about that. Also stock cannot be cleaned/serviced, unlike the after market ones. OEM and after market cost almost similar so going for after market is a better choice.
Ikutkan owner manual, setiap 24k km. Gantung pada owner nak ikut atau tidak. Saya buat pada 35-40k km macam tu. Sebaiknya ikut owner manual kalau tak pasti, kalau terjadi apa2 tanggung sendiri..
So far tak ada problem selain magnet coil terbakar dua kali.. Mileage nak hampir 80k km.. Nanti buat major service + VC next round..

Till now I have not used any kind of fuel system cleaner, sorry. I usually fill with RON 97 fuel and never run it till the tank is totally empty. It hurts the fuel pump if you often run till the fuel is fully gone plus whatever debris in the bottom of the tank will most often get sucked in by the pump if the fuel levels are too low.
Ok i wanted cuz i have mine at a pawn shop that i saw online 09 zx6r with 7k miles on it ,have about 4,499.99 left to pay this bike is beautiful . and its sitting their.
bro one thing i would ask is if cleaning your air filter with pressure air would harm it doesnt the engine do the same by sucking the air at high pressure ????
Air induction passing through the filter element, and blasting pressurized air through a tiny nozzle onto a tiny surface of the filter is different, that's why you can damage the filter element if you shoot high pressure air through the nozzle placed closely on the filter surface, if you shoot from a further distance at lower pressure then it's still OK.
Kalau ambil jenis Supercorsa lagi mahal sikit..
hi bro im thinking about getting the same bike as yours in the near future so i would like to ask question about the maintenance how much is it for the full service of the bike??
What do you mean by full service.. I usually just do the scheduled maintenance as required.. For just a regular oil and filter change is around MYR 300+, fork oil change is around MYR 400+, valve clearance is a few hundred but usually I do other things as well when VC so it could be close to MYR 1000+.. A set of tires are around MYR 1200+..
I don't recommended to keep switching oil, if you are happy with what you are running with, just stick with it. I used to switch oils and my magnet coil burnt. I cannot be certain it was the frequent change of different oils but I have a feeling it might have contributed to it.
Not sure about QT, but if you need a reference, always check your bike's user manual. I usually put in about roughly 3.25 ++ liters or if you look at the EO level glass, it's closer to the top mark. If not mistaken the user manual numbers will have the EO level in the mid point between both marks. The important thing is not to over-fill it past of the top mark or you might get EO splitting out the air intake or out the overflow hoses.
I am not to familiar with Kawasaki. Is there anywhere in this video that list the year / model of the bike there working on. I am pretty sure its a 636 but no sure what year. Sorry if I over looked the info.
Full synthetic oil is not that cheap and you need 3.x L of it, this one cost a bit more cause I did some extra cleaning for the air filter. Usually it would be 2xx-3xx.
That is down to the engineers that design and build the bike.. Their recommendations are what is on the user manual. I have not serviced my Ninja every 3 months since the pandemic and also lower usage, I just go with every 5k kms mark even if it's more than 3 months so far no trouble.
This mechanic really takes care of your bike so meticulously. I wish all mechanics were like him.
Yup it's not easy to find mechanics that give care to your bike not just to fix it & hand the bill over to you.
Very friendly service...i like
good job..the man really knows what he doing..
Yeahh..agree
You maintain the bike very well. Thumbs up.
hi dude always good to see you maintain your bike and the bike always feel so much better once you have given it some TLC keep up the great work bro
Happy bike, happy rider! :)
TheSighBored very true
Now you have watched them do the service ,next time give it a go it's not difficult on your bike by the looks. Great vid as usual !!!
Thanks. I would do it, but I don't trust my handiwork, and when I am free to observe the mechanic do it, I can trust his work. For example, if I wasn't allowed to oversee mechanic working on my bike, I would not go to that shop, ever.

Great work!!👏
I agree, happy with the work done
What a great job. Very detailed work.
Yes, that's one of the main things I look for when choosing a workshop.
im new in superbike world. this video help me a lot. thnks dude. and also, nice logo group
You're welcome!
Nice 1 .. great video...
You guys do awesome work 👍
Yes I'm quite satisfied with the work done on the Turtle..
Super nice vid!
Nice Video, i like.
great video, deng, i miss my bike so much, aaa...
Sighbored vids always interesting to watch...
Thanks!
i will definitely recrut you in my garage
Good work , also you need to lube the chain
I usually tell the workshop not to lube it, I prefer to use my own lube at home for that, which I do immediately when back home from the workshop.
Could you please tell me the reference of the wrench to remove the oil filter or the model? I have the same bike and I'm looking for a key so I can do the maintenance myself. Thank you!

minor service boleh je buat kt rumah, money save.

+mamat syawal This time it was MYR 4xx.

Hi..thanks for the answer...noted...
Tuan..utk VC kawa636 biase brp km perlu buat?dan kos brp

Thank you for the tutorial video. Can you maybe list everything used in this video. I'm giving a like either way because great video.

Thanks for the reply!
Where is this place?
Chai Ken, Puchong Perdana. (Listed on the video description)
Very nice! Is 2012 ZX-6R?
Yup!
what's the wire connected to the sprocket cover?
I believe it's for the gear sensor.
Thats what I wondered too. The 2014 don't have this.
2014 ZX6R (636) should have it.. I think. For gear indicator purposes. I will check to look at a 636 closely.
Which area you service the bike bro
I usually go to either Blueprintgarage in USJ, or 66SpeedBike in Sg Buloh.
hays anybody ever asked about the gas have you cleand out the fuel system and do u use stp or boost to clean out your fuel system?
Till now I have not used any kind of fuel system cleaner, sorry. I usually fill with RON 97 fuel and never run it till the tank is totally empty. It hurts the fuel pump if you often run till the fuel is fully gone plus whatever debris in the bottom of the tank will most often get sucked in by the pump if the fuel levels are too low.
so it would be best to use premium?
It's better to use premium because these bikes are performance bikes, they can better use the premium fuel, you can feel the difference as well.
Ok i wanted cuz i have mine at a pawn shop that i saw online 09 zx6r with 7k miles on it ,have about 4,499.99 left to pay this bike is beautiful . and its sitting their.
You mean the bike you are planning to get is from a pawn shop?
bro one thing i would ask is if cleaning your air filter with pressure air would harm it doesnt the engine do the same by sucking the air at high pressure ????

thanks for reply nd explanation ✌🏻😉
Harga servis berapa bang kalau zx6r sekali dgn tayar
Kalau ambil jenis Supercorsa lagi mahal sikit..

A set of tires are around MYR 1200+..
How do you like your silkolene engine oil sir? Plan to try for my next oil change..
I didn't have any problems with it.. It performed fine for me. Currently I'm on Liqui Moly.
I don't recommended to keep switching oil, if you are happy with what you are running with, just stick with it. I used to switch oils and my magnet coil burnt. I cannot be certain it was the frequent change of different oils but I have a feeling it might have contributed to it.
Thanks sir for your advise..
How long it takes to service your bike?
This one took about 3 hours plus or minus. Took more time due to the air filter cleaning and washing the chain/sprocket.
Some ppl put 3 qt of oil other put 4 i just got a zx6r should i put 3 or 4 qt of oil?
Not sure about QT, but if you need a reference, always check your bike's user manual. I usually put in about roughly 3.25 ++ liters or if you look at the EO level glass, it's closer to the top mark.

Ok then i just dont want to mess it up my first 636 😎
All look at it
do they charge anything if i only want to clean and re-oil my air filter there?
Yes you probably have to pay labor charges and also for the oil job after cleaning the air filter.
aight thanks for the info!
Apa nama kedai dan lokasi kat mana? Terbaik service nya tu
I am not to familiar with Kawasaki. Is there anywhere in this video that list the year / model of the bike there working on. I am pretty sure its a 636 but no sure what year. Sorry if I over looked the info.

That is down to the engineers that design and build the bike.. Their recommendations are what is on the user manual. I have not serviced my Ninja every 3 months since the pandemic and also lower usage, I just go with every 5k kms mark even if it's more than 3 months so far no trouble.
