The funny thing with Devon Allen, he did wait for the gun. His reaction time was within human capability, he just got screwed over by a dumb rule the IAAF has been questioning for over a decade.

Good point, but it would be tough for me to give advice to young athletes “don’t anticipate too much” 😂

Low heel recovery is what I saw they do especially when you made an analysis of the Olympics video was gonna ask you why they seem to be not running(lifting legs high) you answered me now. Thanks

Holloway PB is 12.81, but he just run 13.09 in the Olympics & 13.03 in the Worlds. Why slower?

It's hard to be perfect every time. There are so many small details that have to happen perfectly to run that fast. One little thing can make the difference.

I agree. How much better would a full 110h final have been!
Also, I like your opinion on that lead arm. Move it.

Coach Caton - regarding that still arm. It could have something to do with the arm being held still during the flight phase and opposed to running?

Question Coach - low heel running when hurdling - could you explain the benefits of that? Why is this particularly beneficial in hurdling?
    Thanks!

Great question! Since every hurdler is going to take the same amount of steps, the hurdler, that can do that fastest wins. With that being said. Having your legs move through a smaller cycle, it’s faster than a larger cycle using a low heel recovery is the way to accomplish this. keep in mind, this only applies for athletes who can get to the next hurdle and three steps easily.
