I am looking forward to your tutorial on the Rockford DSR1. You channel is most informative. You have helped me to plan a system of components that compliment each other.
SPOT ON!!! Love your channel man!! I was like you in the 90's...spent 5-10 times more back then for a system that isnt even remotely comparable with todays (granted back then it was my car and not a bike). Nowadays you can get a system for 1500-2000 dollars that would have been 6-8 grand back in our day...EASILY!!!
Carlos, Thank you for explaining this. I have been so intimidated to tune the RF DSR1 I have. Part 1 and 2 of the DSP videos literally just simplified the concept. Really appreciate the knowledge you drop.
I just found your videos...thanks for taking the time. Your and amazing teacher. I've been doing audio my whole life...but you have tough me so much just from 2 videos.....thank you....
Thx for taking the time to do these videos! U da man! Would like to see videos on non fairing bikes running just on BT like the road king. Curious on hooking the dsr1 on that.
thnaks for all you Thanks for all your help Carlos youre the best of the best i have the JLtwk which i removed in leiu of the audio dynamics smaller and easier for my aplication
Man.. I would pay damn good $ to have someone with your passion/education and willingness to educate work on my bike. I love your videos and have learn more from them, then I have talking to the audio shops around here in Canton OH.. I ended up going with the fosgate 6 speakers and DSR1 due to the people not really wanting to "build" My bike... hope it's worth the $ I just dumped into it.
When are you going to do the DSP videos? Also any word on when the DSR1 will be back in stock? Thank you for your time and effort on educating us with your very informative videos. Keep them coming!!!
Floyd Kemp 1 second ago Don't mean to change tone but after watching your DSR-1 video I have a question will it work for my system? I have 1 Focal Sport 4 ch amp in my fairing, 1 Focal Sport 4 ch amp in my bag, and 1 Diamond 2 ch amp in my other bag for my subs. Speakers are 2 Hertz 6.5 fairing, 2 Hertz 6.5 lowers, 2 Hertz 6x9's bag lids, 2 JL 8" Subs in bags and 2 Hertz Nano Tweeters in my bag. So will a DSR-1 work for my setup? Your video says all bike audio upgrade should run Some kind of DSP.
Really appreciate your knowledge and willingness to share it. Where would you cross the Ground Zero 6.5" Coax GZCF 6.5PL? Also looking forward to the follow up to this. Great info!!!
Depends on how much power you are running We have set them at 60 hertz 12 dB 125 watts each We have set them at 80 hertz 12 dB 300 watts each It also depends on what else your setup consist of
I’m giving them 150 watts each. I’m also running a set of pioneer pro 6900 6x9s getting 150 watts in the lids and a pair of PRV 8MB450-4 V2 getting 300 watts
Any chance u can help with dsr1 values or maybe a walk thru on tuning ill be running mp654 in fairing and the boss audio lid kit powered by the soundigital 800.4 evo
For the Average consumer that's simply looking for better but not competition level sound or giving up precious bag space I think the JBL DSP4086 deserves a solid look..... It's 6 in 8 out with 60w per channel (which in itself is a good start) but it also lets you use each channel passthrough to run a more serious amp on if need be... It's pretty compact as well as waterproof'd. No BT or Android/ios tuning tho only windows.
Thanks for the knowledge. I had a dsr1 but it gave a wicked pop at power up and I had bluetooth problems (could've been my phone). I took it off because I didnt want to damage my RF system. Have you heard of this??
I just bought all diamond audio speakers and amp (800watt)from American Hard Bag. No sub woofer . 4 speakers only for my 19 electraglide . DSP was never mentioned in our discussion. This dsp is a necessity?
I have 2 6x9 pioneers 5 ways in the bags along with hertz 25k neos two 6/2 lower fairing speakers of 5 ways pioneers two Simone audio horned 6//2 in the front fairing along with two more 25k neos and a Sony 7000 with a stinger Harley batteries and still cuts off if it’s loud
