I got Tinnitus relatively soon after Menopause began. 3 years later I still have it but you adjust. Stress can make it sound worse too. My Labrador knocked me flying one day and I landed on my right side so wondered if it was this that caused it but suspect its the Menopause as my mother-in-law has had it since meno too.

Thank you so much for this. I'm 48 and my perimenopause started probably with my ear problems, dizziness and vertigo. I have been to A&E 2 times for it and nobody connected the dots. I was prescribed antibiotics just because they thought I have probably an inner ear infection although there is no pain just ringing in my left ear and a feeling of it being blocked sometimes. Doctors here are just guessing and they don't know much. I felt more stressed because I had no idea if it's just me being resistant to antibiotics or maybe having a stroke or something. Nobody helped. Your video calmed me down and explained a lot. Thank you for that ❤

I've had tinnitus off and on for about 30 yrs. It's now gotten worse with menopause, and I've gotten pulsatile tinnitus (it goes to the beat of my pulse or heartbeat). I went to my internist, and I also had a carotid artery doppler and a lot of lab work. By discussing things going on in my life at this time & for the past 5 mos, my internist was guessing the pulsatile tinnitus is caused by severe stress & anxiety. He put me on Sertraline (antidepressant), and it has helped me a lot. The pulsatile tinnitus is now off and on, and not steady 24/7. The volume of the tinnitus is also much quieter, and I find that I don't even think about the tinnitus like I did before (it was on my mind 24/7; now I go hours and hours and don't even think about it). My internist said that pulsatile tinnitus can be caused by stress & nerves (as you said in the video, there are many causes for tinnitus).

Good to hear that you now have this under some control, Meredith. You may also find the herb Gingko biloba helpful as this is used for tinnitus. Yes, there can be many causes of tinnitus which can make it more difficult to treat without knowing the underlying trigger

I have Tinnitus since Dec. 2018 in both ears. It never stops. I also had a hysterectomy in Nov. of 2018. Still have my ovaries. I'm 48 now and I think I've had menopause symptoms for a while, but now I think I'm really in meno. With the Tinnitus comes constant pressure in my head, earaches, ear infections. The pressure in my head is my brain fog. It has gotten worse this year. I hope it stops one day, for the last few years I learn to live with it.

I am under audiology and had an appointment yesterday and will be starting sound therapy soon hope it helps. I also feel I have pressure behind my ears like blockage sensation, some days it's very upsetting not to just have a clear head. Interestingly I had dental work last year and needed a tooth extraction which caused TMJ the bone between the ear and jaw very painful effects my tinnitus worse now waiting to see secondary hospital dentist. Dry, itching inner ears too and not liking loud noises. I was told taking anti histamine can also dry out our mucus membranes in eyes and ears ??

Well, I'm a hot mess. I have had ringing in my ears now for a few months! I'm (at least I think I am) pre menopausal, still have my period and am 51, but I just had a crown replacement done, which included a root canal. Also, I've got itchy ears. Hard part is that I can't place what it could be or if it could be a little bit of everything. I went to an ENT and he was useless; cleaned my ears, told me all was good, just that I was stressed. Ugh ~ Was an utter waste of time. I will try the Gingko.. Thank you Dr. Vogel

I don't have any hearing problems, tinnitus, etc... but what I DO have is HOT 🔥 EARS! Hot flashes in my ears and face mostly while the rest of me is normal temperature feeling. After a hot shower, coffee (and I won't give up either of those😁), or sometimes (maybe 50% of nights) to go to sleep I have to strap ice packs to my head to sleep. I just have an Ace bandage wrap and some nice round ice packs from Amazon (Thrive is the brand of ice packs) that do the trick. I have probably 20 ice packs in my freezer at all times on rotation. I've never liked heat or hot weather too much - even as a kid - but this time getting close to menopause only makes it worse! I live in the northern states but we have summer obviously 🙄 Most days I dream of living amongst the Eskimos and polar bears in the arctic! Aaaaahhhh that would be great.

My left ear clogs on and off as well and it feels like I’m going deaf. I really hope that menopause is the problem and not something sinister. If it is menopause related, does anyone know if it ever goes away? I haven’t seen anyone say that it goes away :(

@@dianne3939 I feel for you. According to my GP and other professionals my condition is not related to menopause. I personally think to some level it is. Menopause causes anxiety which in turn can possibly affect ears. I have done numerous tests. Nothing. ENT tells me to control anxiety for this shit to subside but not convinced it's all anxiety related. I have jaw issues as well. I have exhausted all avenues in the past year. Good idea to see ENT to rule out any underlying condition but my guess your ears will be clear. I often wonder if I did damage wearing ear buds but again my doc says No. I have developed very sensitive ears as well. It's a nightmare. I still have hope however. I smoke cigarettes which possibly is worsening my condition but again my Doc says No. It's chronic severe anxiety according to him. Menopause just makes anxiety far worse. All the best and try to keep calm as I do believe I worsened my condition. All the best

@@vicvic1892 Hi vicvic… Thank you for the supportive reply… It’s helpful to know that there are people out there going through the same thing and surviving. Like you, I have also developed very sensitive ears as well. I even have to wear earplugs to use the hairdryer now! It is so frustrating when doctors blame everything on anxiety. I don’t believe that anxiety is the reason or I would have had this condition many years ago. Lol. I really think there must be a menopause link, since ear problems appear to have started for many people (here in the comments section) around middle age. I really hope that’s what it is, and that it will fade eventually. I hope the same for you as well! Take care :)

@@dianne3939 I do believe there is a link as well. Like you, if this was solely anxiety related I would have developed this many many years ago. I too wish that it subsides eventually. In the meantime I'm looking into investing in devices that play white noise blah blah. I'm desperate for some peace. You take care as well and fingers crossed this silent monster is not here to stay. Makes me a little light headed...is this normal in menopause?
Sorry to use this as a platform Eileen...but I needed to ask you if it is alright to continue taking A.Vogels Menopause Support for more than 6 months?...I have been taking it now close to six months.... but not sure now if it's alright to continue taking it for longer? Or for lifetime?
I definitely did see a difference with my menopausal symptoms 💌

      Hi Hassina
Great to hear that the Menopause Support is helping you.
Yes, it can be taken for as long as you find it helping, there is no specific time limit.
Muscle/neck stiffness can be due to postural changes that are common at this time but it may be an idea just to get a check up from a Chiropractor. They can see if anything is out of line and whether you need some treatment to loosen everything up :)

      Hi Meer Cat
Yes, this can happen and is actually quite common. It's often due to a 'last fling' by your hormones but it is wise to also get it checked out by your doctor just to rule out other issues such as fibroids, polyps or a prolapse.

Struggled alot with my ears over the years with ear plug use......but since perimenopause dryness, they feel so clogged and high pressure and awful pain all day...tinitus.....clicky,...alsorts of weird presseure dips, noises, high pitched ringing...its awful. Really upsetting me and feel theres nothing we can do because it is the falling estrogen and unless you're on HRT, thats not coming back. 😢
Will this ebb and flow or will my ears now be permanently in pain? 😢

      Hi Dorothy
You may find a supplement called Sea Buckthorn can help the ears, see www.omega7.co.uk for more info on this. Remember the water too, as dehydration will make all of this worse!
It's difficult to say whether this will ease as it can depend on the root cause, sorry, but the more you do to try and resolve it, the more likely it will go.
