I thought I was going crazy when my vision would just get where it was blurry to look down at a keyboard or in the car. I have my yearly checkups and they say my eyes are fine and I just want to laugh. But now I know it's because of this and I don't feel like I'm the only one who has blurry vision spontaneously.
That’s an awesome explanation as to what happened to my eyes. I couldn’t figure out if it was my hypo thyroid or post meno symptoms that made my eyes dry. I did try the eye drops daily for a few months to soothe them, but now l don’t have to use the drops at all, as the condition has somewhat all but gone away, which is fantastic!
This is such a great explainer, Eileen. I'm plagued with dry eye symptoms and there's loads of great tips for eye care over on the Doctor Eye Health channel. 👁
Very helpful Eileen as always! I sometimes get blurry vision and sometimes it takes me longer to make sense of some words such as a news headline. I find myself going back over the words to be sure.
Thank you Eileen for once again coming up with this vital piece of information....the dreaded menopause ...wow another one to connect the dots too....dry eye is difinately a problem but i find that flax seed capsule does works wonders for me it really is good for the dry eyes.
Wonderful information as usual. I do have vision changes. But what really troubles me is the dizzy spells that I deal with almost everyday. I often feel like I am falling. Some days are better than others. Do you have any videos on dizzy spells and menopause?

Oh menopause why are you doing women so many things, now I Can't read with out my glasses, everything is changing as we are getting a little older, Thank you Ms Eileen for this beautiful information, God bless you 🙏🙏🙏
I was getting dry eyes on and off too when I was on hrt but I noticed my eye vision started to get bad and blurry felt like I was getting tired aching eyes ,when I went off hrt March two years ago because of getting breast cancer that when I noticed all my symptoms coming on far worse
I no was having dry eyes for years before I found out I was peri menopausel . My sight just went horrendous within last 6-12 hours . Can see my phone at all without my glasses
I feel like I’m going blind. My eyes have floaters, little black moving specks and generally blurred vision. I went to optometrist and they said I have dry eye due to menopause. I have treated it with heat pads and drops, and they said it’s much better. Today though, it’s worse than ever, and in the past 3 months I have really noticed big changes and it’s very alarming. I really hope it’s just menopause 😢 maybe I have diabetes developing, I am overweight, on high blood pressure medication, and yes I spend a ridiculous amount of time in front of a screen and I smoke 🥴 I think I would rather lose a limb over my vision, cannot imagine how I would cope being completely blind.
That sounds really scary all right. You can try our very dry eye drops and see if they help but I would also recommend seeing a nutritionist or naturopath who can help you rebalance the basics of diet and lifestyle when it comes to your health. Often small changes like reducing processed foods and sugar and increasing whole foods can really help! I hope this helps! Sending you my best wishes!
@@AvogelCoUk I saw the ophthalmologist yesterday, and I have learned that I have cataracts at 50, plus dry eye. Yes I certainly do need to change my habits, I’m not doing myself any favours by continuing the way I am. Thanks for the reply 🤗
Hi Lisa Most women do start to feel better the further they go through the menopause and yes, as Love Locked says, no periods or monthly mood swings, PMS etc, it's great! 😊😊 Best Wishes Eileen
have you seen your doctor about feeling worse Indiekiwi? Sometimes other health issues can appear and cause the same symptoms as the menopause, maybe ask if you can have a general health check to rule these out. Best Wishes Eileen
Hello! I'm in perimenopause and I've experienced scratchiness in my eyes, blurred vision and eye pressure. Does this eventually subside after perimenopause?
@@AvogelCoUk… thank you, Eileen, for responding to me. I was looking for your Kelp Tablets, vitamins for eyes, Balance Mineral Drink, and Menoforce Sage tablet.
Hi Kim Just ask at your local health store. Kelp, sage and an eye complex should all be readily available and you can usually get a powder mix usually containing calcium, mag, zinc and vit D and just add in a potassium tablet, approx 500mg. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Paula Believe it or not, dry eyes can cause this. The eyes get so dry that they start to stream to protect them. You may find a Sea Buckthorn Oil capsule helpful here and if you are in the UK or Ireland you could use our Extra Dry Moisturising eye drops when needed. Best Wishes Eileen
I drink tons of water but why do I feel like I am dehydrated. I start the day with 24oz water and then drink 4-5 of a 16oz size throughout the day. And another 24oz once I am home from work. I get lightheaded etc and find if I drink more water than it helps. Don’t understand why this is happening Any advice ?
Hi it may be a good idea to get this checked by your doctor as excessive thirst can indicate other health issues such as diabetes. They can give you a general health check to rule this out. Best Wishes Eileen
It really depends on what's causing the eye issues as to whether it resolves afterwards. If it's hormonal it may do but if it's general ageing then it is unlikely to so do sorry. Best Wishes Eileen

Hello! What were your symptoms? What did you take to help them?
Thank you so much, again perfect timing, such dry eyes at the moment in the warm weather xx
Try warm and cool compresses. Try to keep all soap and chemicals away from eyes.
