I wanted to dedicate my second doll project to a little girl named Olivia.
She really needs all the help she can get, because she is fighting against an awful disease - SMA1.
That's why I created this little knight for her and I'm gonna put it on a special auction :)
My skills are far from perfect, but I hope my doll will win someone's heart there :)

At first I wanted my creation to be more alive like (like Poppen's Atelier), but I think that your artstyle is not something that you can plan ahead.... it just happens :P (and of course I don't have Poppen's skills yet :P).
I love your style! It’s great to use others’ styles as an example, but eventually you find that it’s not about recreating what others do, but about discovering your own style
I also love Poppenatelier’s style, by the way, her work is fantastic. But yours is too, really!!

I'm so so happy to hear all that! :D I have so much to learn about postproduction and camera settings, need to work on my workshop lightning (hopefully I will fix that one problem after moving to new apartment), and learn so many techniques for doll customizing in general..... Thank you! This is heartbreaking that in Poland we have many great doctors, but very bad health care system.... that's why lots of people need to beg for money for their children to survive even if they are paying very high taxes :( So we are trying our best to help :)

They gathered all the money but they are still some obstacles (with Olivia's health) and they didn't give her a treatment yet. But we hope that she will get it until next year! :) Our fingers are crossed all the time!

Wow. I cannot believe this is your second doll. It took me a lot longer to develop that much skill. You brought over a lot of experience working with the worbla, but the faceup was great as well.

I love her~! Its really unique to me that you glue your dolls into a pose. Most modders don't.

Your creations are my absolute favorite in all of TH-cam land... when it comes to dolls, you're an absolutely amazing genius. From what I've seen in TH-cam there's a "way" you're "supposed" to do a doll remake, but you do things so unconventional and creatively that it works so much better and looks so much more realistic. And from what i can tell, it's more free handed, but again, it ends up looking organic. You're incredible. Never stop! ❤❤❤

Just have courage to start! and to practice, practice, practice :) It took me almost 1,5 year from thinking "oh, that kind of art looks cool" to actually start making my first doll :P

@@CatmeleonStudio I had a friend in a gaming guild that I was in, that lives in Poland. He needed surgery and said that he was thankful that he made a lot of money, because you have to bribe the doctors for a better place in line there. That's just awful :'( I went on her site, it looks like she got a good amount of money, but I couldn't read Polish. They better help help her. I'll be praying 🙏🏻

I've seen a lot of doll customizers use a mirror or turn the head upside down to help with the eye symmetry! Hope this helps 😊😊 I also love this doll, you're so talented!

That is making me so happy! I was also inspired here on youtube and I am encouraging you guys to try out this hobby - it is so fun and rewarding! ^_^
After following you for a year, I can't believe that I've never watched this video, especially given it's for an SMA baby too! I myself have SMA type 3 and hearing SMA being mentioned made me stop what I was doing and rewind so I could make sure I was hearing it properly. SMA is an awful condition and for those who are unaware it is muscle wasting, meaning you deteriorate over as you age. There are 3 types and type 1 is what little Olivia has. Here in the UK, it is the biggest genetic killer of infants and you are lucky to see your first birthday.
Thankfully in the past few years treatment has been made available, but it is not a cure. I hope Olivia has been able to reach her goal and get these treatments, because with them her life is potentially saved!
Thank you Catmeleon Studio for bringing to light this little love. I lost the ability to walk completely about 6 months after turning 21. I turned 24 last month and while I am now getting treatment, my condition has still deteriorated to the point that some days raising my arms is near impossible. SMA in every form is the worst. Thank you for supporting Olivia!
Amazon dolls and the costumes are cool too hopefully you can show making them as well that would be cool to see as well keep up the great work

She's gorgeous!! If you wanted a more natural and neutral skin tone, try adding a layer of pastels in the opposite color of the base. It will help neutralize the original color. So since she's originally pink, you could try adding a layer of green pastels underneath the browns and oranges, to help time out the pink a bit. Just something I've seen other customizers do :)
Yes, I know that trick :) I just thought that pink is not such an unnatural colour. It came out pretty good :P At least I thought that :D

To neutralise the pink colour you can use a layer of light green pastels under the skin tone ones.
