This is my third project and also third and fourth doll, that I've ever customized. Lot's of new lessons for me, so I'm really happy that I made them :) I love learning new stuff ^_^ Learning new stuff is fun!

I think the yellow works well though! It makes them look more like they're made out of dentine, the inner tooth layer! Maybe Tooth fairies take the teeth to bulk up their outsides to protect themselves

I did that with my canines when they fell out. They were really sharp when I was a kid for some reason and now they aren’t :(
I would say that is weird but then I remember I just keep all my teeth in a box……
I got one of my molars removed recently, and I really wanted to make it into a necklace. The thing is utterly gnarly, all snaggly and weird. I get another molar (the matching one on the opposite side) removed later this month so I might make some molar earrings! Thanks for the idea

i started to freak out during the repaint of the repaint of the eyes, as it was turning pretty bad, the roller coaster of emotions!
about the recoloring of the skin with pastels, dark on light can work but light on dark is doomed to fail. pastels can only do so much...
Yeah, fixing her eyes was a total disaster, wasn't it? :D Sometimes you need to step back if you don't want to ruin everything I guess :P As for pastels... it wasn't a suprise for me that it didn't worked.... but I had a shy hope that "I am persistant. I can do that... right...?" :P So yeah :P Making mistakes and fals assumptions is a part of a learning process :) And in human teeth subject - I could (I have a pretty good source :D), but they will be smaller, I wouldn't have chance to practice sculpting them .... and I didnt't feel comfortable giving someones teeth to someone as a gift, I think :D

These dolls look so beautiful! The ears and wings really add to the spooky-yet-cute vibes that these dolls give off. The yellow skin helps to tie in the pink in the hair and the blue in the wings. These dolls look stunning! Great job!

That aside, these were AMAZING! I can't believe you're only a beginner! Keep up the great work!
Don't worry. This is not a dremel - this is a micromotor with a pedal, so I have full control on a blade spin and speed. And this grip may look scary, but this is the way you hold a micromotor - with your thumb as a support for a steadiness of your hand. The blade is far from my fingers. The camera angle and the video speed is making it looks more dangerous than it is ;) I should worry more about not wearing gloves with apoxie :D
You want heart attack? My dad used to use the sanding disks to cut metal on his leg.

They are very cute! It's too bad they had to be separated because they definitely belong together! I actually like the yellow skin. There are not many yellow dolls and it's such a happy color.

I think the yellow really suits them, not only are teeth naturally more towards yellow than white, but the yellow really makes the fairies pop and look more... magical? The wings are so beautiful, I paused the video just to look at the shiny prettiness of them and go "woowwww". I also really like the addition of the elytra, it gave such a lovely effect!! They look wonderful, I'm sure your boss and Mum loved them!

Love these...very unusual and fascinating. Great to see mistakes left in to videos so beginners can see. Never saw beetle wings on a doll before!
I am a beginner myself :D I decided that "everyone makes mistakes" and "first times are not always perfect" approach will be best for my channel :) Maybe it will inspire someone to not quit and keep trying :D And about the wings - me neither, but I'm giving myself a pat on the back for comming with that concept :D
They are gorgeous, you have talent!!! I can't wait to see more of your work! Future note tho! Be careful with the hand saw... I was so nervous and held my breath when you were sawing one of the doll's waist and your thumb was right under the blade. Happened at least twice in the video. 😰 just... Like I said in future sawing...please don't lose a thumb of the finger and make sure to cut away from them!!! Thank you!!! Again the fairies are beautiful!
Thank you for your comment and for caring about my safety! ^_^ I really appreciate this :) You don't need to worry though. I use my thumb to stabilize my hand and I have a really solid grip. It may not look like that on the video (the speed and the camera angle) but the blade was never near my skin really :) I'm working with those tools at work and at school, and also (not like wity dremel multitool) I am controling the blade speed with my foot :) Of course your point is very important. With those tools you need to be very very careful. That is why it is not a hobby for kids :/

Sanding the dried/cured kitty litter/wood glue mixture looks like a dusty mess but it's a really cool texture and I would have never thought about doing that
It is a cool method.... but it might be a deal breaker for your familly members or other persons you are living with :P
I think that, despite how upset you were over the yellow color, it looked very pretty. It was nce pfoil for the teeth and just looked great for a tooth fairy. They were so cute.

So, I'm going to college for art and specifically focus on animation, illustration, and character design (hopefully I'm going to get my BFA and graduate this year!). I have to say that beyond your skills making dolls, your character design skills are some of the best I've ever seen! Each doll is so creative and has so much personality! There is actually a studio pretty close to where I live called Laika that focuses on stop-motion movies. They made Coraline, Kubo, ParaNorman, and a few others. I mostly work with 2D art, but I want to learn some 3D art and doll-making so that I can work there. Tbh, I feel like someone like you would be perfect working there if you ever wanted to go into animation : )
I have seen every animation from Laika Studio! They are one of my favorites! My "see you soon" ending is even taken from a scene from Coraline ^_^ Good luck in pursuing your dreams and I wish you to be the best character designer and animator! ^_^

I love the limited color palette! The added texture of the lashes and the flocking on the legs, with the shiny gold- very refined and elegant!! Also gotta say my favorite part of your process is the kitty litter and wood glue. For some reason it itches a particular itch in my brain that's extremely satisfying.

I have been devouring doll customization videos for over a month now. I just finished buying a lot of stuff - MH dolls, armature wire, dremel, sewing machine, apoxie sculpt, clays, adhesives, pastels, acrylic paints, yarn, hair - the list goes on forever. There are some great artists out there but I hope to lean towards your style of doll statues - creepy, alluring, dangerous. So happy to hear it! ^_^ I was collecting all the tools and materials for like 6 months before I even started my first project :P And I already had a lot of stuff from cosplay and photoshoot outfits making :P This is a great hobby and I am very happy that I can inspire someone to do a similar things :)

You don't need ,existing characters' to make such a masterpiece. You make the backstory, character development, everything by yourself, and you can express it like no one else

I think these 'yellow' tooth faeries are very old and experienced, hence their old skintones. That is why they are going to go live in their new homes to inspire your mom and boss!

i feel like a lot of doll repaint artists prefer to do "girly" dolls, with pink and dresses and such. because of this, it was very refreshing to see you do a creature design. it still ended up super cute, but in an original way ! i love your dolls, they beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful, as a child I loved the tooth fairy. Even when my mum use to try scare me by saying that she would know I was trying to pull my wobbly teeth out, she use to say she will not give you a penny if you pull it out but she always did lol.
I removed almost all of my milk teeth with my own hands and my dentist-mom never discouraged me from doing that :P And since dentists are paid for that.... why shouldn't you? :P
