That motors going to end up on a stand soon with what you've got going on. That OTS Tune is not meant for a catless downpipe. Def replace that SF intake Filter too and snag a box to reduce IATs Get that royal purple out of there and swap to some motul, redline or something better quality. Would also highly advise putting that catted downpipe back on, if you want it loud remove that muffler and run the cat. Especially with the EPA crackdown even if you wanted to run a catless downpipe your going to have some issues finding a reputable tuner to tune anything catless here soon. Hate to see that thing die but EJs are temperamental issues. Goodluck my dude I'll be creeping in the shadows checking it out
i appreciate the advice bro! I am getting my protune real soon, just waiting on two more mods haha, i definitely shouldnt be driving on it though 😅. Ill be switching over to Motul for sure and since ill be tuning later this month I might be able to slip in before the EPA cracks down in my state loll. Thank you for helping out , I cant wait to see the blobeye on the road!!🤘🏼
Okay I don’t know where you got the idea that royal purple isnt good oil are you serious it’s one of the best oils on the market by far. you obviously haven’t done much REAL research on oil quality you just read some stupid forum and call it good
@@loganwierema6136 i've personally ran royal purple in 3 different vehicles, for consumer vehicles its fine, but for ones that require a bit more attention like the sti it really isnt good, not a terrible oil but definitely not the best, there is a couple videos of people comparing RP against other "Top Brand" oils and it does not come out on top. and before you assume anyone hasn't done "real" research on what they're talking about @smeedia has done a lot of oil testing for specifically the Wrx Sti.
bro i cant stress this enough. you need a tune to run these mods safely. the map you put on ur car is not meant for these mods. the stock fuel system WILL NOT be able to keep up with the downpipe and intake at the same time. you HAVE to run either the stage 2 tune with the downpipe only or the stage 1+ with the intake only. you can't run both at the same time you will drop DAM and see knock. you are able to run these mods safely with out upgrading the fuel system if u get a protune but you will not be making any more power without the upgraded fuel system. i recommend the cobb fuel system if ur gonna go down that route. PLEASE GET IN CONTACT WITH A TUNER PLEASSEEE. these ej engines are VERY sensitive!!!!! If u have more questions my Instagram is @amateur.swrve just shoot me a dm
thank you for the advice, im definitely going to get protuned and im trying to drive the car as minimal as possible (except for the vid haha) Im not going to big power right now so i will keep the stock fuel system and get tuned how i am right now but i definitely want to upgrade down the line! I wouldnt recommend beating on the car on an ots either, i just did it to get my excitement out hahaha
@@beakhan Grimmspeed uppipe with external wastegate. My STI, and WOT will only creep .3 max over holding. EWG is the only way to go. I'm also running ELH so lots of exhaust flow which gives more opportunity for boost creep on an internal wastegate. Gonna need a 3-port boost controller as well to properly set up the EWG. Then a proper tune. For holding the IWG shut, I would recommend getting the wastegate bracket. super easy install. takes 20min, and I think it's only $35
@@beakhan Not really. Even with an ebcs and a good tuner, you're still going to have boost creep issues when catless with an internal wastegate. You have to go external and you need a tune. This is why you really need to be catted with the internal wastegate set up.
Using a catless downpipe on an ots map is pretty risky. Definitely look into getting an external wastegate or turbo ported. With an aftermarket intake you're going to need to get bigger injectors to avoid boost creep.
im definitely going to get protuned very soon, but what are the benefits to an ewg, ive looked into them but couldnt find a reason to switch to them unless im going for big power
@@beakhan The biggest reason is to avoid boost creep. Catless downpipes are more prone to boost creep then when with a high flow cat. However ewg are extremely loud when they open up. If you don't want that noise you could get your iwg ported you'll get the same benefits. Downside to that if you decide to upgrade or your turbo breaks that money is down the drain. Personally I love my ewg.
i have a similar set up with perrin EL headers, Perrin rotated Downpipe ( with a GTX3076R) and a Tomei on my hatch sti. Im always scared driving it around town with out the silencer in. Its Soooooo LOUD. Its fun to drive on road trips but it makes my ears ring. Thinking about putting another resonator in to quiet it up a little!
Hey Man, you're gonna wanna replace that Radiator sooner than later, the OEM ones get old go green and crack right along the top Been there done that with my old 2010 Forester XT. Was the first thing I replaced on my Sti hatch as the Radiator was gonna kark it sooner than later
Bro get a Cobb or grim speed electric boost controller with ewg for that boost creep with a actual tune that ots tune for catted dp save the engine before it’s too late man keep it up tho!
@@beakhan although Subaru oil caps say 5W-30 STi recommends 5W-40 for "spirited drivers". Meaning if you're in boost often and like to have fun you should use Motul 5W-40 to protect your engine. You'll notice less oil consumption to as a result of increasing to a 40 weight oil, full synthetic of course. The only reason the caps say 5W-30 is because Subaru gets benefits from the government for advertising a less harsh oil.
I’m pretty sure you need a bigger fuel pump and injectors when running both an aftermarket down pipe and aftermarket intake. Just a heads up! Also do you feel the car is louder than the 86 was from the inside? I had tomei headers and incisors N1 on the FRS, but I’m concerned that the Tomei Expreme will be too loud on the STI.
my thought process is, it cant hold over 500hp on a stock block anyway. Keep an eye on boost creep with that catless downpipe with an internal wastegate. It's a quick way to make ej's go boom.

Ya definitely don’t run that cat less dp without a ewg. It will go boom
The oil should be used on Subaru’s are motol
i agree. i ran RP for the longest time and a friend turned me on to motul. i feel like i dont burn near as much oil.
i might just do that next, i wanted to use royal purple to “clean out” the motor this time. I heard royal purple is good for that
Rotella t6 is also good
ROTELLA T6 FTW
Don't use Royal Purple or Rotella.. EJ engines burn through it super fast. Motul Xcess is one of the best that burns the least.
Bro your gonna need a tune or an external wastegate. Otherwise your car will go boom boom
You’re gonna want an external wastegate if you’re gonna be catless. Boost creep is killer.
Or port the VF wastegate flow. Super easy with a dremel. Took me like 15 minutes and all boost creep was gone.
Finally Louddd🔥 can’t wait til its finished completely. I already know whats coming next video, so happy for you & mad excited ! 🤘🏽
Thank you so much bro❤️🤘🏼!!

The fenderist wide body is 👌
The varis body kit is pretty nice
2:07 🐄-ted down pipe 😂❤️

Yessir! 🔥🔥🔥

What about the widebody throtl put on theirs? I think that looks pretty good on the sti hatch
was thinking the same
its cool, just not sold on it. I feel like it doesnt flow with the body of the car
Dude I love your garage.
Wait till you see the new one🤭
Definitely put back your old catted downpipe to avoid boost creep and blowing up your motor, especially because you live in cold weather
Honestly the Sti will all always surpass any other car in my opinion glad you got it bro, picking up mine soon
thank you bro, i hope you have fun in yours brotha 🤙🏼
Oiram Widebody Kit is 🔥
Just get an exhaust cut out if you want it to be loudest and still have the ability to be quiet.
You can make the wheels fit butttt you have to go stance boys ✊🏽💪🏽
Get the Angry Acorns kit, it's about to be released for the STI hatch.
