The Calamity mod Damage Reduction scaling formula is: 1 - 1⁄(1 + dr)
For example, if the player has 25% DR, it will be scaled to 1 - 1⁄(1 + 0.25) = 0.2, or 20% DR.

So to start with, it's post-Mutant so it literally doesn't matter. To finish, without other content mods, it's not even hard to get since it's just all the stuff you should have gotten for Mutant, and Eternal Energy, which is a Mutant drop

@@FrostTheChill Fargo's Mutant mod helps with the grinding, and mostly I don't remember a lot of rare items honestly

If you require grind support, imksushi mod helps, particularly the tokens add-on; they serve as a special crafting material for those otherwise difficult to get items in vanilla.

Fun fact: for Supreme Calamitas it counts as cheating, as when she died it says "go to hell" wich is a response to cheating, sadly

Random thing to say: in Fargo multiplayer, it is possible to achieve 100% DR through a glitch I don't know how to replicate.
I think this bug having to do with magic Storage or any storage item in general. One time I made dubious circuitry(gives 5% DR) while playing with a friend and for some reason it game me 13 million damage reduction. Logging off fixed it but I couldn't replicate the glitch since.

a friend of mine drank every alcohol item from the drunk princess while wearing Permafrost’s Concoction and was unable to die no matter what until a few minutes after, where he suddenly died

Soul of eternity it's literally every armor, every weapon, every accessory, every potion, critter, painting, etc etc
And if you get the dlc, it also includes modded items inside that long passives list
Its not a passive list anymore, its a fucking passive game
I kinda wish instead of that the soul of eternity just boosts all your damage types by x amount and gives you straight up damage reduction and immunities/debuffs on attacks. Tons of effects don't need to be there as they just chug fps

That sounds like the Zenith sword but with extra steps
I don't know if anyone notices, if you craft soul of eternity without dlc, and then install the DLC, your soul of eternity is modified based on mod. So no need for additional steps with modded items. Make sure to craft it while disabling DLC and enable it later. It works for Calamity.

To be fair with the boss rush, even if you beat Calamitas with just Calamity gear, the Devourer of Gods likely would have snapped you in two. If God Mode can't stop him, nothing can.
i believe its only in death mode that it will oneshot you no matter what

Although technically not DR at this point, you can survive the head on death mode. But, each hit consumes 2 revives, so just one form of revive isn't enough
Your forgetting one thing: ultimate potions mod. It has a cheat potion called anti death. You know what it can deal with?! Echdeath himself. And you wont die, I have the mod.
@@MythMediocre The thing about that is I said "with just Calamity gear". I only brought in Cheat Sheet's God Mode as a reference and testament to just how powerful the Devourer's bite can be.

in Qwerty's bosses and items there is a pre-HM item named "Doppelganger" (it's a drop from Noehtap), which replicates the accessory above it. By having the soul of eternity and it equipped, I had a grand total of 24k hp, along with more than 1000 armor and enough DR and regen to tank through the boss rush with a stardust dragon. Get this: I can AFK the boss rush.
Also, even pre-SoE I could farm DoG with 14 sec/kill(12 of which is the duration between phases), just use an endgame summon and DoG dies faster than it can fly in from offscreen.
Tanky doesn't necessarily mean high defense and defense only, because mixing both DR and Defense can be better than the highest defence in the game

@@lorekeeper685 The High damage is covered by the fact he's playing Calamity and I Melee weapons tend to be strong just by the armour bonuses alone so basically still a tank, and yes, that's aren't very fast, or at least not the ones we tend to visualize when we think of actual tanks, because maybe there's actual fast tanks and I just don't know

25 mph is pretty good on flat terrain.
45 mph in roads. Some tanks go even faster.
Compared to 31 mph oh a typical car in a busy road.
And 55 mph if it's on highway or such.
I slightly high balled on car that's going fast. Usually they be slower than 55mph.
This has been donee with a quick search. And it's meant to avarage-ish.

the alchemistNPC mod has an item thats very rare, but can completely erase the meatballs. its called counter-matter, and its easy to get while farming in the dungeon or the acid rain.
you can often get it by accident without farming
I was about to suggest that but looked through the comments first but yeah that item is a life saver.
So is the ban hammer and tinker's submachine gun.
@@kinerealobren Its bad that the alchemistnpclite mod doesnt contain the legendary items (there are class specific weapons with the same rarity in the mod) , and the full mod has too high memory for my pc.

Unfortunately, this is no longer possible due to the DR cap in 1.5
Being able to be nigh-immortal without cheats will probably be one of the things I'll miss the most.
If anyone missed it, SCal regarded the experience as a cheat, and went "go to hell", which meant no drops except potions.
Might be better to disable all of that clutter, and just stick with the defensive buffs.
Seriously, most of them are permanently active, some activate from movement, there's pets, there's projectile enhancements, etc.
Unless you have a computer that can run all of that, you're fine with not being able to comprehend anything at all, and aren't playing Calamity, then go ahead.

-Even More Modifiers (you can get up to +21% extra TOTAL defence on every accessory by reforging them with Black Cube, the cube can be bought form the wizard)
-Reforge armor (works with EMM)
-There was also completlly balanced mod that turned whole inventory into accessory slots.

You could use the too many accessory mod and get the chest accessory enabler, which makes it so every accessory in the chest you activate counts as equipped

The true best tanking item is Ultimat Accessories' Exoskeleton
1% lifesteal and not affected by calamity's stupid lifesteal nerf. Plus it works with every weapon. You just have to dodge the bullet hells.

through antisocial, you can equip the same accessory twice, aka. 2 souls of eternity (or just even more defense and DR, but that wouldn't be fun, now would it?)

I believe you can get even more Dr.. if you first put items in your antisocial of bonus accessory slots, you can add the same item over and over until you fill it. Tho in the normal accessory slot will fit only one accessory of the same kind. Keep in mind that you need to add the accessory first in the bonus slot, otherwise it won't work

The Counter Matter from a mod which I forgot can delete projectiles in an area around you every few seconds, and that includes the giant SCal meatballs
I once tried making the soul of eternity myself, Thorium included, only got to 5/9 souls and then gave up... It was so much work, even with a mob farm and luiafk. If you have the patience to craft it, the reward is fitting
there is actually a mod that makes the social slots actual accesory slots allowing you to have more accessories and even higer defence and dr as well as so much more craziness
With the "Too Many Accessories" mod, (this would require a rly rly good pc and a lot of patience) you can use chests to store your accessories and they work. If the maximum amount of chests used to store at around 100 you can store around 3900 accessories (this is because it is an item used to bind yourself to the chest). And they can all be the same accessory. 3900 souls of eternity?
Now you just need the muramasa and boom...

The only problem... Its the f-ing soul of eternity, the single hardest modded item to get!
probably the most broken mod is the one that gives you an accessory that you can bind to a chest, turning every inventory slot in that chest into an accessory slot. and you can have more than one of them each bound to different chests, plus you can turn on an option that lets duplicate accessories work to a certain degree.
I know Joost mod has the stone paladin set and it's set bonus allowed me to take 1 damage from supreme calamitas with everything being warding with worm scarf and all that stuff. (Btw the armor set is meant to be a replacement for hallow and titanium so it only has like 60-80 defense

there is a fargo’s mod that makes accessories you have in any PSU (personal storage unit) or inventory work, oh also you can stack accessories.
you can see where this is going >:) (btw mod is called Fargo’s Equippable Inventory)

My dude you have to use all the same mods you use here plus the soul of eternity from Fargo with dlc, with the mutant set and demonshade armor , then get the unofficial calamity souls mod and use the end soul, the soul of calamity. Use all of the same accessories you have now with 6 extra accessory slots from cheat sheet mod (for the souls and 4 extra accessories), make sure to have everything enabled for the soul of eternity (except for the pets, those don't matter). And with all that plus the same strat you used and you literally can't die, you become invisible to everything but the unbeatable boss (cat face thing) and maybe mutant, never tested that.

The world warper will de spawn projectiles from enemies and bosses. Super rare drop though, only got it twice, legendary item
I was doing a group playthrough of calamity + fargos for the QOL stuff and we had to ban the soul accessories cause they destroy calamities balancing lol

i dunno, but when i used the soul of eternity it just bugged completly, i think it´s because of the amount of buffs u get (all the minions etc.), so only 10% showed up.

If theres a boss that could deal true dmg,would make dmg reduction look like a joke. Thats why hp regeneration and vitality exist.
