  • The Exo Terra® Monsoon SOLO II is a programmable misting system suitable for all types of terrariums and greenhouses. It helps maintain optimal humidity by generating a fine mist at programmed intervals, the duration and frequency of which can be easily adjusted depending on the type of animal or plant housed. Frequent misting helps stimulate breeding behaviour and is a necessity when housing live tropical plants such as Bromeliads, orchids, mosses, etc.
    The system can be programmed to mist multiple times per 24-hour cycle, with spray durations ranging from 2 seconds up to 2 minutes. The 1,5 liter (0.40 gallon) reservoir ensures continuous operation for several days without the need for refilling (ideal for vacations!), and the reservoir can be easily replenished without needing to uninstall the entire system.
    The Exo Terra Monsoon SOLO II comes with 1 easy-to-install nozzle, but the system can be extended to accommodate up to 2 nozzles, making it ideal for up to 2 terrariums. (Please note that every additional nozzle will result in less performance from each nozzle installed.) The mist produced by these specially designed nozzles is extremely fine, creating a fog-like effect in the terrarium or greenhouse, and the extra-long tubing makes it possible to conceal the unit in a storage area or under the terrarium in a cabinet.

    I really love this enclosure, just wish they made bigger ones cuz that allows for more options.

    Do you know anything about the exo-terra monsoon solo II misting system? I need to get the clear tubing that connects with the water filter which is placed inside the water reservoir? What is the size of the tubing, apparently I need to know the inside AND outside dimensions of the tubing? I would really appreciate your help. Thank you.

    Hello. Could you please tell me if its OK to put different frogs in my terrarium with my red eyed tree frogs?

    • @exoterratv
      @exoterratv  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Duncan, there are different opinions out there regarding mixing frog species in terrariums. What we for sure can tell you is that it all depends on the kind of species you are planning to combine.

    Quick question, wouldn't the heat mat on the bottom of the terrarium dry out the substrate? Or does the presence of the misting system help to counteract that, thank you!

      If you have a misting system, you need a drainage layer and a method to drain said drainage layer. Without a drain your substrate would turn into mud after a while.

    Is the new Terrarium even Drosophila Safe? I was very disappointed about that with my previous ExoTerra Terrariums.

    Exo Terra, to prevent buildup in the lines, is using RODI water preferred? I have a reef aquarium and already have RODI on hand 24/7
    I just wanted to make sure its not harmful to the frogs

      @exoterratv  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jos, in case it is for misting purposes only, yes it is safe to use RODI water.

    Hi, I also have the monsoon solo in my Terrarium with my green eyed tree frogs. How often and what duration would you advice me to set it to please?

    • @exoterratv
      @exoterratv  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jamie. A lot depends on the humidity and other climatic conditions inside the terrarium. Make sure the overall humidity during the day does not drop below 70%

    So if a frog is in the need of cooling, where does it go?

    • @exoterratv
      @exoterratv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Rubin, the frog will retreat to a hide or bathe in a water part. This is why we always advise to install your terrarium in a way so it has a temperature gradient/cool and hot part.

      After opening and in the vertical position, it can be slid out of holes in top of the terrarium.

    Can I house my dart frogs in the bigger 18x18x24 tank

    • @kayamuratoglu9262
      @kayamuratoglu9262 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. However, a Tree frog will probably use the extra verticle space more than a Dart frog will (depends on the frog).
