      How would this be done exactly? Putting an external filter into a paludereum with a closed lid tank… there’s basically no info on this when searched. I have an exo terra 24x18x36 and want to turn it into something similar and was going to put a normal pump in for water circulation. With 3 whites tree frogs I feel that won’t be enough but don’t know where to begin with putting an external pump in.

    What is the dri-lock for? Do you need to use it if you are using silicone and sticking substrate to the background? Also, do you need any type of filter for the pond? How does it stay clean? Do you have to drain the water periodically and replace it? And if you dont have a "drain" how would you do this? Siphon it out? I am a little lost on the pond section. I have several grey tree frogs.

    • @MikeTytula
      @MikeTytula  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you watch the entire video? Because it’s a method used an alternative to the silicone and substrate method. I would strongly recommend a small filter, or at very least a circulation pump. It’s just like any other aquarium, weekly water changes at a minimum.

It'll be a bioactive terrarium for salamanders and western toad,in a natural alberta setting ( pretty well everything gathered from local woods, trees,plants,wood etc. My question, I intend to finish with silicone and coated in cocofiber jungle mix etc. Do I need coat of drylock firstly over carved foam or can I apply silicone and cocofiber/ jungle mix directly.
