If you ever have a chance to go to the San Diego zoo, they have an incredible reptile room with some outdoor exhibits as well. Including one of the only mangshan viper exhibits in the world
We have some lovely exhibits at Dublin Zoo (Ireland). The bioactive concept is slowly creeping into the zoo fraternity. Difficult to get archaic managers and directors to buy into the concept. When your passion and imagination (and wallet) are allowed to run free, there's no end to the magic you can create and achieve.
Man, serious props mate; that's an absurd number of bioactive habitats, all of them in tip-top shape. I can't imagine the amount of work that goes into maintaining all of them!
You've done such an amazing job with your frogs. Thank you for taking the time to do the tour and put out the video! Your videos have helped give the knowledge and confidence to take my first steps into the hobby
Wow! Absolutely amazing seeing someone live your dream in real life! Thank you for caring for your animals and keeping them in such good conditions! Wonderful!!
Dude you’re incredible. I’ve been researching the hobby for years but still haven’t pulled the trigger, you definitely inspired me with your layout/design. Insanely skillful 🤯
This is truly one of those things that you just have to do, after you’ve done some basic research. Most of the rest of the learning is done as you go along and that’s the fun in it. Start small and as you learn you can upgrade and build bigger and better vivarium’s for your little guys. It’s kind of like raising a kid, you don’t plan out every moment of their lives before you have them, otherwise no one would ever have kids.
Perhaps the best dart frog/viv info and content around and only 27K subs. It's a shame, you deserve far more exposure and credit. Your vids are always topnotch.
this is why I love you tube.... Stumbling across channels like this... Though not really my thing as such, the thumbnail still got me clicking.... I love nature, so didn't hesitate on having a nosey lol. Amazing, stunning Viv's.... Very well cared for frogs too.... Do the frogs realise they are in captivity ? Good video, thumbs up from me 👍
I don’t know why I’m saying anything since I don’t raise dart frogs but I do know a little about nets because I was into fish keeping. I’m not 100% sure what you use the nets for but if they are to scoop up tadpoles/froglets from the water I highly suggest aquarium ’shrimp’ nets instead because the netting is smaller and much less likely to harm their limbs or fins if they get stuck in the net. I had a few small fish get their fins torn from getting stuck in those nets you’re using. They’re also easier to use in my opinion. I always love watching your videos! Very cool to see your collection grow. 🐸 Sorry for the unwanted suggestion.
Hello, first of all, thank you for your great video here on Yotube. It's unbelievable how beautifully you planted your terrariums. Also very nice to see your many different species of frogs. I have a question for you. I'm currently building my first frog terrarium. Due to space constraints I have to put this in my bedroom. Can you tell me whether the Dinctorius Brazilian is a very quiet frog that I really can't hear and won't disturb my sleep and is quiet or barely audible even during the day? Thank you
Hey can we get a in depth on the electrical and plumbing systems you built for the frog room And I’m interested to see a better look at your tadpole setups,as far as filtration drainage, and overall setup . Thanks!
I wanna sleep, wake up, have breakfest, Lunch and Dinner and go to bed in this FrogRoom.
😂 😂
lol
Same!
we need to start building bioactive terrearpaladeraium homes!!
This is always what I dream of seeing when a Zoo or museum offers a "reptile room" exhibit ... Always disappointed.... This is a dream
If you ever have a chance to go to the San Diego zoo, they have an incredible reptile room with some outdoor exhibits as well. Including one of the only mangshan viper exhibits in the world
If only!!! 😣
Artis the Amsterdam zoo has a beautiful aquarium and reptile exhibit. The rest of the Zoo is old and shit but those parts are top notch.

I think it's great and commendable that you let the researcher live on with only one leg and don't kill him.
So frog have other sounds, should be a new discovery in my life.
I'm thinking about starting a dart frog terrarium because of this video. Thank you so much for making this video, Troy!!!!
Great work Troy! You've come a looong way from the "Patricit" days. Lol
Thanks Richard!! Hope all is well with you! The hobby misses you!
By the way…. Alanacit******
Does your everyday job has anything to do with biology? you are so knowledgable about so many of the plants too.
Would like to see some videos of frog feeding. They are fun to watch them hunt and grab.
Это прекрасно, жаль в Росии не так много любителей древолазов, однако Евгений Рыбалтовский содержит одну из самых больших коллекций в мире😁
hi .. great video .. looking for recommendations of aborial species that can be kept in groups .. i have a 6ftHx2x2 viv
Pumilio
Red centered Neo at 10:29 is probably the species Neo. compacta and Neo "Zo" as you were sold it may be the species Neo. zonata.
Thanks for sharing man. Loved every minute
Thanks for watching the whole thing, I know it’s too long for most to stay interested but, I had a lot to talk about and a lot of footage lol
I can come to pick up some cuttings if you want to get rid of some.
