I recently went thru a weight loss journey, test was at 632 at 256lbs, down to 479 after dropping to 196. I went through overtraining and a loss of libidos after the weight loss. I have since got back up to 211lbs no longer in a deficit and now my test is at 732 @33yrs old. Only taking protein, creatine a multi a d3/k2 supplement! I’m feeling great now

Half of what is said on this podcast sounds like a foreign language that I do not know how to speak…. Yet I still love it.. haha
I went from 334 to 960 in around 3 months all natural. This book should be essential reading for all men. Written by a 50s guy with natural T levels of a 20s guy.
Complete guide to testosterone by james Francis
Have been on trt 0.5 cyp a week for lil over a year with no problems.however the had problems with my refill missed like 3 weeks and all hell broke lose..started getting crazy anxiety i never had prior brain fog overall feeling terrible.my test had crashed i suppose did my bloodwork but it was fine around 600 test estradiol was 39 tho..restarted treatment anxiety and panic attacks went away but still feel terrible especially in the mornings not sure why?Almost regret starting trt just wanna feel good again.
Testosterone cypionate can be dangerous for some and tampering with external source of testosterone has risk.
Man this is so useful thank you guys
I think we should ask an expert in the field with experience treating people
Fascinating
I recently had my testosterone tested. It came back at 86. I’m 42, 185lbs, in decent shape. Can run a 5k tomorrow if needed.
But taking testosterone scares me. I don’t like being dependent on pharma. But I feel off. Always tired, fatigued. Many issues. But not sure I want to to take fake test
It'll change your life. I can't imagine 86, I was at 240 feeling like a corpse and it's like I'm a new person on TRT. Energy to get through the whole day, no anxiety, constant drive to always be doing worthwhile or productive things, able to fuck on demand. It's great.
I love when Peter says “that’s so interesting” to derek
Got stuck, as cant find a problem for my 35y old Primary Hypogonadism. Training every 2nd day, eating healthy calculating calories... Have all the low t symptopms... T levels of total> 150 Free T also way bellow normal. LH, FSH, Prolactin, SHBG, TSH, are fine in normal range, DNA kariotype is fine as I dont have XXY or anything like that. Waiting for Iron, Progresterone, Estrogen results, but what next if they are in normal levels?
I recently had critically low testosterone. Turned it was due to losing weight. When I gained the weight back, my levels went back to normal. I have to be slightly overweight to have normal testosterone for some reason.
Great discussion. Much deeper than the “ your numbers are low use hrt “
Testi injury from Marines and 32m. Tests consistently came back under 170.
Why when I get a testosterone test i only get the ngl/dl reading and not free testosterone? Thanks and great discussion.
Who's testing? My primary care doc didn't check free test, but sent me to a urologist who did.
My primary does. Make sure they put the order in to test both. You ARE paying for it afterall
Yeah I had to specifically ask for test and free test in my blood work or they wouldn't do either otherwise
In my opinion, Dr. Attia's line of questioning and closing commentary on replacement therapy are telling. The comments are as well. I hope people considering this path educate themselves appropriately.
My free T was below Normal range. My total T was around 325. Felt Terrible. Started 100ml test CYp a week. GAME CHANGER. Just do it
Mine is 137..imagine how I feel
I just got tested, 197 at 30
When regular Doctors talk about normal hormone levels what they don't tell you is they mean the regular hormone levels for your sex and age. Not the hormone levels as they were in your peak age. So if you want to supplement for longevity or even just to feel younger you need to get your hormone levels back to their peak!
Hypogonadism is my new favorite word
How do you find a worthwhile endocrinologist?
Peter , your genetic congenital anemia condition is the elephant in the room regarding metabolism and relative hormone balance right? Does your guest know about your anemia?
I don't suspect he was asking for an assessment. Derek is great, but I think the intent is to educate his guest and audience.
I've no clue what they said but I feel smarter
Nobody is addressing the elephant in the room. In the first world, we are seeing a consistent drop in Testosterone for all men across all age groups when compared to decades ago. The fragrance industry is self regulated and loading up things like laundry detergent with endocrine disruptors. Imagine wearing an off gassing endocrine disruptor all day and co mingling with other humans indoors who do the same.
Well, I have acromegaly, a hyphophyseal tumor with Gh secretion, well I also have a testosterone deficiency, hypogonadism, to improve my testo level, I do one or two injections a year of Nebido, because it is the only testosterone with an extended-release testosterone. Of course I eat healthy, no processed foods, I do sports, I sleep my 8 or 9 hours
Fluoride affects the endocrine system, pituitary gland, and pineal gland. So why do they add it to drinking water?
There is a real simple answer: tooth decay. It's a real problem. Also those problems haven't been demonstrated in fluoridated water at about 1 ppm which is around where most public water supplies shoot for.
@@michaelfavata2720 That is a terrible answer. First if all, Fluoride is a neurotoxin and clearly has other issues like calcifying your organs. Second, it’s only effective for cavities topically. Ingesting it does nothing for tooth decay.
You need to familiarize yourself with The Fluoride Action Network and the current lawsuit to get fluoride out of drinking water as Europe has done.
@@michaelfavata2720 Fluoride doesn’t work on tooth decay when it’s ingested. Only when used topically. It is also a neurotoxin. And studies show it calcifies numerous organs in the body, including the pituitary and pineal glands.
Because of what you stated. The gov is not interested in your health.
Read the Rockafeller Foundation's 1959 Jaffe Memorandum. It's only one page.
The major problem here is finding someone who is credible that seriously knows what they are talking about when it comes to TRT because it is obvious this is a very tricky thing to get right.
What causes Empty Sella Syndrome?
Chronic intracranial hypertension. For some reason your body produces too much cerebrospinal fluid which increases the pressure in your brain and can squash the pituitary. It's common to have chronic headaches from this and can be misdiagnosed as migraine.
@@dansmith9724 That part I know. What causes Intracranial Hypertension? And don’t say idiopathic.
@DM-eo6zw I'm just going off my personal experience. I was on lyrica for nerve pain (for reoccurring shingles on my head)for several years and it put alot of weight on me no matter the diet or exercise. I then got off lyrica and went on to topamax for the headaches and because the Med is wt neutral or possibly can help wt loss. Topamax can reduce cerebral spinal fluid. Topamax help some with the headaches but just changing meds I dropped weigh consistently for several months (25-30kg) without really trying and the intracranial hypertension headaches went. I still get headaches but are related to the shingles and are a very different type of headache. So I think in my situation it was from the wt gain I got off lyrica, how excess wt increases pressure, I don't know.
It was frustrating time seeing specialists and finding out what was going on. From what I researched on it, weight loss if your overweight is the main treatment or they can put shunts in to drain the fluid or take topamax.
The money spent on specialists didn't really help other than rule out other conditions. It was my idea to get off lyrica and go on topamax.
Good luck 🤞
I got a blood clot due to TRT. Or at least that is what I was told. it was very small. Still not sure if it is safe or if I can go back on.
How long were you on it?
Just under a year. My number was 150 before and around 1200 after. My Doc is pretty anti TRT says it leads to strokes. Now Im not sure what to do. I felt so great on TRT. I have lost so much muscle mass without it. I am 58.@@Micolashcage1

True. He did take down the Liver King after all. Now he's known as Liver Failure.
My testosterone was 301 and my dr says that’s fine ? I don’t feel fine I will have to get re tested again I guess I’ve been taking supplements trying to get better sleep and working out ? All I know is I feel like 70% of the man I use to be a few years ago
I wish I could find a video that addresses my issue. While growing up , my doc and parents missed the fact that I had an undescended right testicle. This wasn’t addressed until I was 13 . This resulted in me having an almost dead sperm count and a t level of 327 at age 30. I keep wondering if TRT is my only option. I haven’t seen great results from test booster supplements. I work out 5 days a week , eat good but restrain a mid body and low energy.
Similar situation here. 43y old, one testicle basically nonfunctional since undescended (not addressed). Low testosterone at ~200. Also working out, sleeping well, eating quite clean…
What’s HCG ? A natural molecule?
It's something that can work for testosterone when it's too low, and it's not used enough because the medical system doesn't consider male health as relevant. They make human chorionic gonadotropin from pregnant women, and you can get it prescribed.
It’s a compound found naturally in a pregnant woman’s urine
And the answer is...stay tuned.
What about the 10,000’s that have had a vasectomy? What happens to their testosterone?
I got snipped 7 years ago. Test is currently 768 at age 34
Mine has been between 700-770 every time I got it checked both before and after vasectomy.
Forgot environmental toxins and plastics
Peter you’re 50 and your total T is 381, what are you waiting for on starting TRT?
Dear Peter. I am a neuroendocrinology researcher with dissertation in pituitary dysfunction. This podcast is lacking and you need more information about pituitary dysfunction in order to better inform your listeners. Please bring lecturers on who have appropriate training in neuroendocrinology.
Can anyone translate this to English?
Don’t eat crap. Strength train. Eat a lot of real food to recover properly from your training. Sleep.

I think maybe should go on TRT, I'm on the same boat. I tried a shot and feel better.
that is scraping the bottom of the barrel so to speak, the range of "normal" that general practitioners use is 200-1000. So even if u were at 201 they'd just say its normal. i would talk to a hormone specialist or maybe an endocrinologist. derek (guy in the white shirt) also has an online clinic, marek health, could be worth checking out if u are seeking for some sort of treatment, they have options that dont require full HRT.

So long story short, if you have low T that affects your quality of life then take TRT.
This is dangerous thinking….taking TrT is a huge commitment and should be treated very seriously
no.
@2CuteToShoot69 Having normal testosterone is not even remotely dangerous. In fact living with low Testosterone is a health risk. I think you confuse people who have normal testosterone and take extra to get jacked.

My LH was low at 2.2 so if I can boost that the test should come up via “natural” production.
