I'm a stage 4 cancer patient and my doc said that trt has been a huge benefit in keeping my body strong during treatment and surgery recovery. the comment i hear all the time is "you don't look like a cancer patient" ive been able to stay active and keep exercising. I have 2 more rounds of treatment and then its "surveillance mode"
Best wishes. Look up the Med vets use as a heart worm medicine. No clinical trials, but anceditol evidence it may kill cancer cells. I went through a bout of cancer this year and read about it after being operated on.
Things are going well went in for my second Surgery to remove tumor and they didn't do the surgery as the tumor was gone! It's definitely been a long year though
That's very interesting. Many would likely assume that TRT would tend to speed up proliferation of cancer cells. But I guess that isn't necessarily the case. Or at least not always the case. And I do have to wonder, after seeing how chemo can ravage people's bodies, if TRT's ability to stave off some of the catobolic effects of chemo might actually be helpful in some cases. Thanks for sharing your story, and I hope you're able to pull through this very difficult situation.
@@jeffconsiglio1307 the one doc that went over that with me said keeping levels to high can cause problems, she said anything 2k t level and higher, but staying around 1k doesn't cause problems and is beneficial to health and strength.
I have been using synthetic testosterone for over 30 years. I have used tablets, trans-dermal patches and trans-dermal gel but recently began injecting one ml of oil every two weeks and the difference is amazing. Finally putting on muscle at 52. I'm very active and now my recovery is incredibly quick. Never felt better in my entire life. Ditching alcohol is the next best thing I've done.
Bro.. once every 2 weeks? Just FYI you want to avoid hormone fluctuations as much as possible, every day would be ideal but I inject every other day. Less negative side effects with more frequent dosing. Hope your doing well!
Curious to know since you said you've tried many TRT methods over 30+ years. Are intramuscular injections the most effective way to absorb testosterone? This is what I have heard....
@@DuaLeaD I use sub q injection. Same as in the video. Virtually no pain and most importantly no scar tissue buildup from repeated muscle injections. Absorbs the same.
Thanks for sharing. I just turned 50 really noticed a slow down in my workouts and energy level. My levels are on the lower side of normal (390 total, 7 free) so I am looking forward to trying this.
A urologist put on testosterone replacement when I was 50. I am now 79. I am given a injection every three weeks. I suffer from fatigue because of Multiple Sclerosis. As I get to the end of the three weeks I can feel myself getting very tired and listless. After the injection it can take up to two days before I am happy and jovial again. The injections also improve my libido. But not as much as they used too. It is time for me to get my testosterone levels checked again. I highly recommend other men do the same thing. Testosterone is not a magic bullet. But is a big help. All the other things. Such as smoking, exercise etc do make a big difference. Thank you Dr. Rena. A excellent video.
Outstanding info Drs. I’m 54 and have been on TRT for 15 years and feel and look great. I wish more Drs were as knowledgeable on the subject as you guys.
I’m 27 and already been on it since 14. Not far behind you and I’m half your age lol. My consistent baseline TT was always below 200 ng/dL over 4 fasting morning lab draws with a full night of sleep.
I started TRT approximately 6 mos. ago and it has done wonders physically and mentally. I am 73 and to all those grumpy old men watch this video carefully as both Doctors are hitting the target on many issues regarding the need for TRT. Wish I had subscribed to Dr. Malik channel sooner. Thank you for a great informative video. A 65 year old male. I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue. After a year of feeling like death warmed over. A Cardiologist I need to consider TRT. After my first injection I’m watching all these side effect videos. I’m glad to find one that puts things in perspective.
I have CKD (stage 3, have dipped to stage 4 occasionally but improved back). Due to that I've had hypertension, like real bad. I've been on tons of medications. Some of them with terrible side effects. I finally dipped below that magic number, and was able to start TRT. Immediately my blood pressure dropped to normal. So for me, it helped my heart. I've been able to train again for the first time ever.
I've been on TRT for the past 10 years and it has made a dramatic difference. I've had zero negative side effects other then testicular atrophy which my doctor prescribed a peptide when first noticed and they swelled back up to normal size. My wife noticed a difference in my mood/libido within a couple of weeks and it has remained the same just like I'm still in my twenties. I think she sometime wishes I would take a break from TRT so she could get a break LOL!!
I have been giving myseld injestions every week for 11 years with no ill effects. I am 63 and my body looks like a toned athelete, my sex drive and performace is very good. Before starting the injections I was tired, had ED and just didn't feel like me. Very good show. Thanks Docs!
testosterone/TRT, when taken properly is life changing and bring on huge benefits, this was my experience. I’m early 40s and I am in the best health I have ever been, physical and mental improved dramatically. Blood work is perfect, I have been on TRT for 4.5yrs,due to having
I was always against using TRT until I finally had my levels checked and found I was at 215. Luckily, I have a good friend who does TRT. I’ve been doing subcutaneous pellets for 3-4 years now and have never looked back. My quality of life, muscularity, and energy are phenomenal at age 54.
@@samjarea I have always had hyperhydrosis when it comes to sweating. I sweat just thinking about work. I haven't noticed any elevated amounts of sweating beyond that with the TRT.

I think the TRT therapy is good as long as addressing what's causing low testosterone, not just in men. Yes, the fact remains women must have some levels of testosterone in order for estradiol to work. The trend is getting worse because of diet that we been told to eat, all government putting in additives in our foods. The general public does not know most people men and women that need TRT treatment is at an all time high at 89% of the American population because there is untreated underlying health issues. The sad thing about it most of these people have higher LDL Cholesterol and impaired fasting glucose levels, I simply won't call it type of diabetes because it's not! The biggest things is giving someone a low dosage of a long acting insulin such as Lantus, over a short span of treatment say: within 1 month testosterone goes back up, LDL goes down with an increase of HDL,
I’ve been on trt since I was 40yrs I’m 56 now... life is good. There are sides, but can be easily maintained. Most doctors don’t have a clue about trt and how it works and frown on it! These urologists are right on the money about trt. It’s a life choice would never go back!
After a month of TRT my doctor asked me how I felt. My best description was, "It's like somebody cleaned the windows." You never realized they were dirty or dingy because they got that way over time. Then suddenly, you see clear through them. Yes, there are times that the labido kicks in like I am eighteen again. That can be a little frustrating when your partner is not feeling it too. Then there are those days when the partner is feeling it too. So just like normal life, it all balances out. All in all, a TRT was a good choice for me Shots two times a week.
@@fatman4346 You gotta get the kit and do it yourself. It's easy, and there are videos to teach you. 2 or 3 shots a week works great, although 1 is acceptable. Stretch it out any longer and you'll have peaks and valleys in my experience.
I'm 72 years old and put testosterone gel on myself everyday and it did miracles for me. I started having problems and wanted to figure it out. I gained two inches in my waistline and for the first time my belly overhang my belt ( they tell me I had a "muffin top"). I was tired a lot of time. I had also noticed about 4 or 5 months before that my semen was less or not at all and erections pretty much stopped happening. I had been to a urologist for my slightly swollen prostate and my testosterone fell in normal range. I Googled my symptoms and somehow it came up with probably a testosterone problem. My psychiatrist prescribe testosterone jel for me diagnosis ED. I feel 20 or 30 years younger. I haven't really abused my body and I enjoy sex. About 45 years ago I gave up cigarettes, cakes, candy, alcohol, some fatty foods, and lately all sodas and ice-cream. Overall I do eat well. And pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms 3x a week and a "overstuffed roast beef Hoagie with Lorraine Swiss lettuce tomato and onion also 3x a week. After applying the testosterone gel for about a 3 month period, I felt much better: my muscles were stronger and I felt more self-assured and knew that I could depend on my body and my muscles to do what I needed to do. My anxiety level really decreased and I feel happier than I have for probably 30 years. It's improved my thinking and it's also helped my prostate. I see other people in the senior building that I live in who are falling apart. Old age is especially hard on the women who often become very bony or very fat. But the men around me...to many are dropping off into oblivion. Diabetes, heart trouble, cancer etc. I've tried to explain but no body is going to accept that their testosterone might need a boost...it's about biology for me but to them it's like a personal insult to their masculinity!! Some times you've got to let go..... Me, I'm a very happy camper 😀👍🔥 filled with appreciation and gratitude🙏!!! I do take other medications moderately : vitamins, L-Arginine and l-citrulline, I've had two heart operations and I have a pacemaker defibrillator so medication for that. I was caught in an underground fire my lungs are damaged and I had pulmonary medication for that but since I've taken the testosterone I have no problems breathing... no allergic reaction to pollen or Ragweed or anything. I take a few unmentionables to but In not reckless..... I love being functional.
i wouldnt mind trying some gell . but going to doctors is just off putting for me . im 62 and relatively healthy . i have only gone to doctors when i had accidents. what type and amount of gel worked for you if you dont mind ?

TRT saved my life. Not just me saying it; my doctors agree. Shot T since 2017, had a double PE after COVID in 2020, had a prolonged (~4 hour) NDE, scared everyone, but came back. Docs determined that TRT had strengthen my old vascular system, and without it I would likely not be here to write this comment. So yes, I am a huge fan and my doctors now INSIST that I continue on the therapy. Thank you for this video!

I'm using gel TRT and have been for about three years. At 59 I'm in the best physical condition I've ever been in my life. Broad shoulders, narrow waist, a respectable physique by any standards. Totally different from the shape I was in four years ago. It has basically rejuvenated me.
I’m 31 years old now, been on trt for the past 2 years, my test level was 326ngdl, I wasn’t sleeping, had insomnia, no sex drive, tired all the time, brain fog, depression, mood swings, my primary doctor said I needed medical marijuana , I told her no check my testosterone, I went got a second opinion , I pin 150mg every week, and that puts me at 800-1100 , I donate blood every 7 weeks to keep my red blood cell count low, (less risk of blood clout) and my life changed night to day, I love it,
Yeah, I can’t just phlebotomy at will where I love to treat the polycythemia from TRT. I’m mad jealous. I have to put myself in harm’s way even to maintain 600-700 ng/dL. My SHBG was recorded at 5.6 once. Lowest baseline was like 172 ng/dL. It’s been a living Hell and I barely can get be even with TRT. Still usually peak out at 400 or 500-550 if I’m really lucky. @William Jefferson, In all my life I never used steroids because I only believed in healthy eating and sport activities to stay healthy. Then, surprisingly, I got testicular cancer and now I have to do TRT to stay healthy. This is what fate had in store for me…
Thank you Dr. Malik. I have been on TRT for a couple of years now and do enjoy the benefits that you and Dr. Clavell talk about. My biggest challenge now is the cost and I am a little nervous about what will happen to my body if I have to go off of it. Exercising and eating well is something I do anyway but the TRT has been amazing for me and my wife enjoys my energy.
Your urologist or PCP can probably prescribe testosterone. In a tropical solution, it would be a bittle with a pump. Perrigo is one manufacturer. Each pump is 30 mg, and you can do one to four pumps a day. You rub it on your underarms. My t-levels have usually been in the "low normal" and I didn't use it often. There seems to be correlation that if you have prostate cancer, "high normal" t-levels increase the rate the cancer cells multiply. Your doctor should do regular blood tests to measure not only t-levels, but PSA. I had a bout with skin cancer this year, and was taking very little testosterone. My last blood work had low t-levels, but also elevated PSA for the first time. I've had two full PET scans this year, so that was a surprise and have moved up urology appointments. With the liquid, you can self-control what kind of dose you take.
@@melvincoleman8008 Good luck. Regular blood work will show how you're doing. There are some non-mainstream doctors into learning about deeper blood work analysis. I've heard they do like four blood panels instead of one. My impression is there is a lot of progress in areas like reducing weight and diabetes, which has to help with everything else. Mainly stream medicine hates that kind of medicine, the orthodoxy is just subscribe more meds.
Thank you for shining more light on this issue, Dr. Malik. I am so tired of docs telling you that testosterone is unproven, it is bad for you, it’s all part of the natural aging process, you don’t need it, and all because they simply don’t understand it. I literally had my primary care physician call my cardiologists in a panic when he found out I was on TRT. I was so grateful when my cardiologist completely ignored him, understanding that (duh) a stronger heart is a good thing.
I was a bodybuilder for 10 years and when covid hit I developed PVC's and had to get off of everything. Now I'm 1 ½ years clean and feel absolutely awful all the time. I just want to run a TRT dose and my Cardiologist said it is up to me but idk have you had any problems with your heart?
Just a note here. Back in 1989, my 89 year old grandfather was in the hospital dying from old age BUT...some doc found that he had(coupled with old age) prostrate cancer and recommended that removing his testicles would decrease his testosterone. He said that testosterone is like gasoline on a fire regarding the cancer. Testosterone makes if spread quicker. I told the doc to chill and let him go in peace. At least he'll have his manhood in heaven. Personally...I think the doc was looking for another payday.
34 yr old male here. I went to my general and during a physical and asked to have my T tested. I kind of lied to her and said that I just want to know what my level was so I could have a base line. At that point, I was napping multiple times a day and basically didn't really care if I had sex or not. My levels came back at 324 ng/dl. When I said, that seem really low for a 33 year old male. She said, it's within the normal range, so we don't need to worry about it. When I expressed some concern, she said that dr. used to over prescribe testosterone and that it caused more problems than it fixed. That's the sad state of general medicine in this country. I ended up going to a clinic, because I knew they would give me a prescription. I have to pay out of pocket because I am above 300 ng/dl, which is crazy since the vast majority of 30 yr old males will be north of 500 ng/dl. I hope your field of doctors makes some serious changes to bring awareness and research to this. I've been on hrt for about 12 weeks now and it's great. I feel like I am 20 again.
Wow , our stories are almost identical yet I haven’t gotten a prescription yet. My T is 340 and they said it’s normal for my age. 😡 I have sleep apnea so I’m sure that causes lower T.
It's because it's all driven by insurance and insurance doesn't want to pay out. I had my yearly physical last month. I explained to my GP I was feeling tired, run down, no drive, no ambition, low libido, joint pain, angry, agitated, and I was was having problems getting or keeping an erection. She ran a bunch of blood tests, including my testosterone level. It came back at 196. She referred me to a Urologist and Sexual Health Specialist. Insurance states 200 - 800 NGDL is considered normal. Insurance also required multiple blood draws, done prior to 9 AM and if any of them come back above 200, "no Bueno". They won't cover shit. My 2nd blood draw came back at 166 overall with 3.1 free test, 36 SHBG, 71.0 Bioavailable Testosterone. My 3rd came back @182 overall with 3.2 Free, 36.5 SHBG, 72.0 Bioavailable. She also ran a million other tests including FSH, TSH, Prolactin, Estradiol, Liver Panal, Iron, Hematocrit, PSA, and a bunch more. Because all 3 total testosterone levels were all below 200 NGDL, my insurance will cover my TRT and Cialis/Viagara for life. She's starting me on 100 MG's of Test Cypionate tomorrow, once a week with additional blood draws to adjust dose in 6 weeks. While going through any of the thousands of TRT Clinics would be more convenient, and I could probably persuade them to get my levels higher, between 800 - 1000 NGDL, it would also be all out of pocket and they wouldn't be watching my health as closely with regard to prostate exams, PSA tests, etc.... So I'm going to try this through my local doctor / hospital system and see how it goes. I suppose if it gets to be too inconvenient, or they get me to 350 - 400 NGDL and say "you're in range now. No higher", I can always pay out of pocket and go to a TRT Clinic.
As someone who was over 40, had been dx with chronic fatigue syndrome, Fibromyalgia and suffered from crippling anxiety daily I was turned on to TRT. And within just a few months I was off my Anxiety medications, was finally sleeping through the night and was back in the gym 3 times a week. The physical changes have been great, but by far the mental changes and my mood, my quality of life has improved beyond measure. I never thought I would feel "normal" again.
@@GTschumacher Yea, but I have to admit its not gone and it flares up, but much less with exercise and more importantly sleep and to a large degree better nutrition. I've really made those 3 things important and it has helped. I feel like its a snowball effect, the medicine helps for sure. Then you sleep a bit better, feel like exercising, when you exercise you feel a little less sore all the time, then you sleep better. When you sleep better you feel more rested and then feel like exercising more... No secret to it, just some days you got to put one foot in front of the other and do your best. But I feel much better now then I used to.
I started TRT last year. 100 mg of Testosterone Cypionate twice a week and half an anastrazole tablet with each shot. Jumped my T levels from 535 to 1500+, so I dialed it back to 60 mg twice a week. Just got tested again... 1387 total and 28.2 free. So now I have dialed it back to 40 mg twice a week. My doctor wants me to keep it around 800. I sleep better, I have gained strength in the gym, I have more energy... and while age hasn't had an effect on my libido, the testosterone has had me waking up with wood like a teenager. Also helped me lose belly fat. I'm 54, 185 lbs at 5' 10". I'm not as strong as I was in my 30's, but I am certainly happy with the results.
I've been on trt for 6 years. Best thing I did for my physical and mental wellbeing. I exhibited typical symptoms and I was in the low 200s. I stared with cypionate then enanthate but both had me retaining water and I felt heavy. Since I've been micro dosing with proprionate and that is the best for me. I get full labs done every 6 months, labs are stellar, and test at 800. With my discipline meal plan and training I feel like I'm 27 again. My 90 day kit is mailed to my house from the compound pharmacy for $240. If you have symptoms find a Dr who will work with you to develop a protocol after your blood test. Don't delay and get going!

After reading a few comments, I no longer think that my 5+ years of Dr. prescribed TRT is very substantial. TRT has changed my life for the better in many aspects, with the only side effect being reduced seminal volume or infertility. At 49, this is not an issue, maybe a beneficial side effect. I am glad this interview was made available, it absolutely confirms my experience and self research, and clarifies many of the misconceptions that even MDs have. A key step for me was getting my insurance carrier to approve and pay for it. I have had a similar experience to the one described trying to get HCG; BCBS will not approve it even if you know how to manipulate off label to on label use. There are other means of boosting testosterone, but me and all the gym rats agree, legit pharma grade testosterone cypionate injection is the most effective and safest way to go. But remember, you still have to eat right, live right, and exercise. It is not magic. I think TRT made the most difference by making me actually want to go to the gym, and live my life fuller.
I tried TRT at the suggestion of my doctor who said my levels were low. The result after 6 months on it was greatly reduced seminal volume and and premature ejaculation. Basically I finished in 2 minutes and it was like pre-cum. My testicles were also shrinking. I also gained 10 lbs on it. It drove my hemoglobin up so high I had to stop the injections. After a few weeks off of the injections it I was back to normal. I would not recommend messing with this stuff!
@@trevorn9381 _"The result after 6 months on it was greatly reduced seminal volume"_ - That's actually awful! I'm seriously considering TRT at my age of 54, but the women I tend to go for usually _really_ enjoy gulping down big loads (sorry to be crude, but it's the truth), so this side effect would be a major deal-breaker. I wonder if it's common or rare?
PTSD. TRT/HRT has been a game changer., in symptoms & episodes. I get pellets 2x a year. So, I don't have any fluctuations. My mood is better than, when I took injections. Injections started 1x 2 weeks, which was too long & I could feel my levels dropping the 2nd week. 1/2 dose x per week, was better, but I ended up 1/4 dose, 2x per week, and the mood responded better. My wife will atest to better mood, on the pellets. She would also, probably like a 'break', once in awhile. 51 @ 13.4%, currently. For me, it has been similar to an old cell phone, that would be at 100% charge, but just wouldn't last like it did, when it was new(younger)...well, TRT sure helps my battery stay charged longer . Hope this reaches the one that needed to see THIS. Better than Yesterday-EVERYDAY!
Totally agree here - been on TRT for over 15 years == changed my life -- mood has been very stable, muscle mass is excellent and growing, sex drive is always on point, usually just always feel pretty good and stable, before even in my 20-30 and 40s I always felt like crap. Now totally different --- all those years before I was too low and MDs knew it and did nothing to replace it (but at that time we were not doing it). Glad times have changed.
Same here. My whole life felt like i don't have same energy levels as other people, got tiret pretty fast, felt like crap, what is strange that i had huge libido and got testicle cancer at 39 yo, ok removed one. But i still have good libido but my t is on a lower end of a brink. I am starting to believe that some things are not related.
At 34 I took my first MMA fight, and afterwards I got my levels checked. I was around 300 which is the average level of an 80 year old man! No wonder it was so hard to lose weight and be motivated. I started TRT and it changed my life. Women have been on hormone therapy for years, but it's not been popular among men until recently. If you feel tired all the time and have a low sex drive, no matter your age, get your levels checked!
I’ve fought all my life with low test. I got tested a few times and was at 150-200 levels. Always at a disadvantage. Thinking about doing TRT since I am getting older
Your vids are very helpful and informative, Im 55 yo, I've been on TR injections, about .75m once a week, self administered at home, been working out fine for me, also take a little clomiphene once and a while, it all helps w more energy, reduced stress, better labido/drive and prolonged sleep. About 7 years ago, i also did the T tablets surgically implanted in the hip/upper thigh, and i had great success over next 6 months in raising my t levels back about 550-600. That lasted few years, although it was recommended have them implanted once to twice a year. i only did one treatment, and i might return to that procedure as it's a fairly longer term solution to weekly injections. So TRT is an extremely important therapy for us older guys, and i came to that conclusion as i watched my father age and pass away a grumpy old man from what i saw was low T. This is a world that steals your life and vitality without reservation, but if you invest in yourself and some therapy, it can be reduced.
Even prior to starting TRT, I never had a problem with ED or libido. TRT, did, however, boost my libido and I now wake up with morning wood ever single day, whereas that might have only happened once or twice a week starting testosterone.
I have been on TRT for 3 years changed my life! My levels were 388. I am 57 years old.. Better sleep, better sex, the list goes on. I have tried diet and vitamins and working out was not enough Small doses weekly diet and I work out 5 days a week. The combination is game changer!!
I have had problems for years. They called it fibromyalgia, they tested for lyme, finally i had them test for trt. The first test came out at 121. Im 58. The second test came out at 331. I just started my trt yesterday. I Can't wait until i stop feeling like shit.
For the people here that are having trouble getting their doctor to prescribe TRT, you probably need to find a doctor that doesn't accept insurance. It sounds weird but you will have a better, more interactive check up. It's not that expensive to do this and means the doctor isnt as constrained by the insurance guidelines
There are many clinics out there like this. Consultations will be semi pricey. But you’ll be able to get orders for blood work and buy test or even other steroids.
I started last week and tomorrow will be my second shot of TRT. I haven’t noticed much except energy increased. I am currently at 280 level and my provider will try to get me into the 800-900 range. I hope it does what it’s supposed to do. So difficult to lose belly fat or fat in general at 42 years old. I started because after 18 months of eating healthy and working out; I just can’t lose weight or gaining muscle.

My low Test was even flagged in 2021 but my Dr never said a thing. I work our almost everyday and I walk everyday while eating fairly clean. I lost 15-20 pounds this year which I am happy about but I feel dead. Any suggestions
I fall in the category of men whose blood thickens while taking Testosterone shots. I have to give blood every couple of months. Why is it doctors don’t tell patients this beforehand so the patients can make a fully informed decision? All you say are the positive effects....never negative side effects. This video is a prime example.
Wylee Coyotee So I guess all the teenage boys/men running around with high testosterone are at risk of blood clots as well? Testosterone does not cause blood clots.🙄
@Willy Hawkins Natural testosterone their own body produces won't cause blood clots. Artificial testosterone taken by old dudes when their own levels naturally drop with aging, yes it does cause clots. It's a documented side effect. Learn some physiology. Research it yourself. It's a hormone.
I have been on TRT for well over a decade. There was a lot of BS with the doctor, insurance and the pharmacy. Mostly insurance and pharmacy. I went off the chain and get it myself following original protocol and still getting bloodwork done regularly and consulting with my primary doctor. Doing much better. Better meds, not missing my injections anymore and saving a ton of money.
@@huntermark1160 the medicine is manufactured in many different countries where a prescription isn't necessary. Lots of companies will ship internationally. You have to do some homework and find one. It's best to dial it in first with a doctor and bloodwork. Otherwise you risk negative effects. Good luck
@@mitchellferre1652 brother I am dialed in,, through my doctor but still finding it hard to deal with him and the pharmacy could you name some countries? Just the name . Thanks .

Had my test tested at 7am in the morning and it came back at 255 and my doctors have zero concern about this 😡 I bagged them to test it. I’m 52, tired as soon as I get up, sleep 7 hours a night, work out (when I have the extra energy) … This has been an informative video for me… thank you!
You need a new urologist. The approved treatment by insurance might be 250, insurance companies don’t like paying for treatment. I’m boosted back to 800 with trt
Yes, that's low enough to need replacement. I would switch Dr's. It used to be if you were under 300 you qualified, but irsbeen a few years since I started. I had a baseline of 82 nanograms/decileter, and I was 43 when I started. It wS a game changer, and highly recommend. Shop around if you do online, because you can get it as low as 150.00 month. Good luck, and hope you find a decent doctor💪💯
@@HeyIntegrity My insurance company only pays for 6 pellets per treatment, but my doctor inserts 12, so I'm out of pocket for part of the treatment, plus a high deductible. I'm well off and benefit from the trt. Shots are cheaper, but painful and often weekly.
I use to get TRT from the VA , I was well under 300 , but now they changed the test so that my T level are considered as normal, I am the same but the test levels have changed, so the VA fails us again ...if we want it why not give it to us?
Thank you for this. I was diagnosed with T2D two years ago (alarming A1C at 12%) and worked very hard to fix it ASAP, as of a year ago I lost 80 lbs and got my A1C to 5.4%. With the immediate danger of glucose and cholesterol under control, however, I started experiencing something else that was quite concerning: I was getting extremely moody and severely depressed, even suicidal, had trouble sleeping, concentrating, and hit a hard wall to lose any more weight (I'm 5'8 and got stuck at 200lbs, so I still have 30+ to lose). My doctor tested my T levels and found them quite low ~ 100 (@ 38yrs old). I was afraid of TRT because, well, I don't really know, it was just a big unknown to me. I resisted it for another 6 months but finally came around and it's been life changing. Everything is better: Sleep, mood, energy, weight loss, gains from resistance training. Most importantly I've been a much better dad to my kids as of late. Basically, I'm me again, and it's good to have me back. I had no idea hormones could cause such havoc; I had always believed that I was in complete control. Keep putting out good content and spread good messages!
I was on TRT for around 4 years when my PSA raised and diagnosed with PC. Then before the prostatectomy I had 2 Lupron injections and the prostatectomy was on September 2018. Now on December 2021 and with my PSA staying undetectable I'm checking with my Dr. at VA to see if is a choice for me to go back to TRT. My levels of testosterone are very low, 2.50 ng/dl on a reference range 193-740. On your video you answer most of my questions very clearly and Dr. is very knowledgeable on this subject. I want to go back to TRT. I'm 67 years old. Thanks for sharing. Great video.
I've been on trt for one week now. I am 46 and am a little worried about having low urinary output. I may have prostate issues. Would you recommend that that I still use test?
@@ForTheFuture50 Personally I would recommend that you consult with a urologist and run a PSA test before you go on. It's very important step. You have to make sure of why you have urinary difficulty. Saludos Eric.
@@acjitsu Hello. My PSA was on normal range, around 2.5 after around 4 years on TRT the Dr. from the TRT clinic told me that my PSA raised to 3.8 so I went to my doctor Dr. and he started to check. It was up to 6.2 before the Lupron injections (2) and a biopsy, wich shows PC. I had the prostatectomy on September 2018. Since then my PSA have been undetectable. Thanks God. If. you need more information let me know. My interest is to know more about this issue.
I found it interesting that they only mentioned getting blood drawn once. I have been on TRT for several years and on my 3rd physician overseeing my progress. The first one never mentioned the need to “donate blood”. After 8 months of therapy, my primary physician referred me to a hematologist because I had “sticky blood”, elevated red blood cell count. This can lead to stroke and other cardiovascular issues. I now donate every 4 months and haven’t had an issue since. Donating blood is important for males regardless of TRT. Is like an oil change for us. I can’t stress enough, the importance of it. Highly recommend!
Just watched the whole video good to see someone knows what there talking about couldn't find no fault in this discussion. Not that I'm a doctor but have been studying testosterone for years and all this is spot on. Wish you were here in Australia 🇦🇺 thanks for this video
@@QS-si3cq I like how you attempted correcting them for no reason at all and you failed to even correct them correctly. In this usage it would be "they're"
Well, I appreciate the information. I retired from the military a couple years back, I am 53, keep myself in great shape but a year ago or so I started noticing my performance starting to slip, I was assigned a nice doc in the VA and asked her about TRT, she gave me the same old spiel about how dangerous it was and how she had seen other guys getting TRT and then coming down with prostate cancer. Guess I need to find a new doc.
How’d you make out? My doc said stuff along the same lines, wouldn’t even check my levels, I’m 53. He said lower test levels is something every man has to deal with when aging, it’s natural🙄
Do you like she lied about actually seeing others guys coming down with prostate cancer after TRT? I have been researching and reading comments and reviews everywhere and I can find anyone posting this has happened to them…
@@Arkane117 That is BS that TRT feed prostate cancer and sadly to many doctors believe that stuff it was based on a 50 year old flawed study. Actually some advanced PC is being treated with high doses of testosterone.
This was a very excellent and informative video. Thank you for having Dr Clavell dispel the myths And outright falsehoods because I have been told all of those. After doing my own research I wanted this for energy, bone density etc it was hard to even find a doctor that understood the difference between free and total testosterone. Because my total was normal but my free was abnormally low. Thank you to the guest for coming on.
Thank you for this nice and informative interview. I am myself a urologist but in another field so my knowledge in this is limited. I read articles and watching interviews of other professionals and seems that everybody agrees in two points. 1, Even if you are in the low- normal range of testosterone you can have symptoms of low testosterone. 2. TRT is a safe procedure. Despite those informations and despite the fact that I have all the symptoms except low libido and ED and a low - normal total testosterone and a free that is 1,4 % of the total, I haven't started yet with TRT. I try with sleep ( not easy)and gym and healthy eating and tongas Ali etc but honestly I still feel not myself. Starting TRT means that in order to have the effect you have to take it all your life and this is what stops me from starting since I am 57 years old. But still as Dr. Clavell said ( and it is a good statement ) the question is how do you want to age? I think I will give it a try. Thank you again.
I don't want to dispute anything these two doctors have said, but the fact is we do get older. And that does mean things will eventually stop working as well as they used to. Mental outlook is a big factor, so learn thinking patterns that will help you avoid depression. While getting grumpy does happen to some people, much of that is because they were crabby all their lives. The way we think and react to life's challenges is ultra important because hard times are going to happen no matter who you are. And they will happen all through our lives. They are not something you can avoid, they are actually meant to happen to make us resilient to them. It is how God designed life to be. Ignore negative people's comments, don't respond to their snide remarks with your own snide remarks, and if possible lend them a hand mentally if they will respond positively to your help. "Don't curse but bless" is the apostle Paul's directive here. Otherwise don't involve yourself with them if they won't change, any further than is necessary for your own life or work. Dwell on the positive and beautiful things in life and life will be a much happier experience. Testosterone shots can only do a finite amount. I'm 65 and these are some of the truths I have learned in life.
Same here started bodybuilding at 19 and ran everything under the sun but found out I have PVCs and now have been off for a year and feel awful man I just don't know if trt would mess with pvcs
I came to this video for answers. Type 1 diabetes, LowT 247 I think was last reading, ZERO desire of sex, ED so looked to TRT maybe it can help. This video answered EVERYTHING!
Thank you so much Dr Malik and the Guest Physician for clarifying this controversial topics. I am Family Physician and was not confident to prescribe TRT but after watching your video The ambiguities surrounding this topic is now cleared up. Could you please kindly share some links to authentic articles/literature here for my knowledge. I will be very grateful
WOW!!! That was really impressive exchange of hard earned experiences.... I will need to review it multiple times to absorb the new vocabulary and concepts... Thank you that was exceptionally helpful....
I take care of myself but am burned right out at age 27. I've been working to provide since I was 11 and if my life isn't better soon I'm going to try to get on trt and start over.
I've done testosterone therapy for over 5 years now I was having to host of issues I'm finally went to the doctor after years of not finding a resolution I found a doctor who prescribed me testosterone because my levels were low. I believe testosterone is one of those miracle drugs doesn't get enough attention and when it does get attention it's usually negative but I think that's a byproduct of big pharma companies not wanting people to have cures to certain things at a safe and cheap price they prefer you take their high priced drugs, well that's my opinion at least.
The healing rate of my testosterone level increased very fast after I used the medication I got from Dr igho on TH-cam, he gave me a good impression that it is gonna work and it did work because right now I don't longer experience symptoms I use to experience I now have strong Erections
Man. For 15 months I was on the fence for TRT. I knew in my heart I had all symptoms.. yet still tried everything else before TRT. Diet. Sleep. Exercise. All natural remedies.. Just to raise T a few point or so. I’m now 1 week into TRT. And fuck man. Truly, I have not felt this great. This optimal in over 15 years man. Never turning back.
I’m 38 and have tested twice in the morning for having low T. My PCP started me on weekly trt injections. Biweekly is not ideal, test levels will have significantly dropped if you wait two weeks. Since starting trt - my brain/thinking is a lot sharper, endurance has gone way up (before could barely get through a 30 min workout, currently 90 minutes is just barely enough), made the choice to masturbate less, so I believe that in conjunction to trt has help my erections, I do get morning wood everyday now, deeper sleep now. I do feel like I’m 25 again and I’m taking a low dose. It’s amazing and grateful for having a remarkable pcp and not having to go to a low t clinic.
I'm suppose to take my trt today for the week, I had to masturbate this morning, i started taking nac before bed, along with more sleep, and youtube hypnosis to stop negative thinking. Not sure what to do, don't like giving myself shots
GREAT VIDEO!! Testosterone therapy can work wonders with so many benefits!! But make sure you don’t go over the limit. More is not always better ! A lot of these clinics give super high dosages like 200 MG a week! Way too much !! I learned this the HARD way!!! I HAD ACNE mood swings,, gyno , hair loss crazy. I cut that dose in HALF!! And Now I feel GREAT! With no sides 😊 . My advice if you get on testosterone therapy Start out with 80 mg a week For a few weeks and see how you feel. THEN YOU CAN ALWAYS ADJUST THE DOSAGE. High dosages = SIDE EFFECTS!! Hope this helps 🙏
Agree that 200mg is too much for most. 80mg is probably too low, especially if taking in one shot. By day 5 your levels will be pretty low. Most people will do fine between 100-150
@@iQBAL_Versatile_Vlogs Really? Half life is 5-6 days. Your levels are extremely high 24-48 hours after you inject and very low at 3 weeks. I guess if it works for you it’s fine. Any idea what your levels are right before your shot?
@@jimg6970 Yes your about right. Anywhere between 80 and 150 MG a week. that’s the thing Every person is different. I take 100 mg every six days. On day five of blood test I’m still around 900 ! Twice a week never work for me. But everybody’s body metabolizes to testosterone differently. That’s why I recommend start out small and figure out what works best for you let your body tell you. 😊
@@iQBAL_Versatile_Vlogs You should inject at least once per week. If you can only get 250mg I would split it in 3. At that low amount you might be better doing 40mg twice per week. Ideally you’d take at least 100mg per week.
My Test was 173 at 52 years old and I felt awful. My body was full of pain and wouldn’t heal from car accidents I unfortunately had gone through. After 22 months of continuous pain I went on TRT. I’m on about 300mg a week. The difference in my life cannot be overstated! I live virtually pain free. My depression from being in pain every day is gone. I am not longer in pain from the moment I wake. What amazes me is how quickly my body metabolizes testosterone. Injecting 100mg of Cypionate would be great for 2 days then the 3rd day is a PMS crash. I now inject a slightly smaller amount every other day and feel amazing. Testosterone has completely changed my life.
First you must enjoy pinning. And second, not a good testimonial since test can have a positive effect of all of your symptoms, even if it has nothing to do with low test. From the information you've provided here you could very well be masking the true cause of your symptoms
@@krane15 First I hate needles! Second the doctors who worked with me disagree. I know my body and my life. You haven’t even met me let alone go over lab results and probably aren’t schooled in how to read them
I was on t-Therapy for 12-years, was not really low to begin with but doc suggested taking the gel (did nothing) then on to shots. Shots worked, very convenient since my wife is a nurse so she did the weekly injections. Honestly my numbers came up but I felt the same, again no major symptoms or issues just low numbers so I continued. Long story short, prostate became enlarged, had to have a surgery to remedy this, urologist recommended I stop the t-Therapy which I did. No more prostate issues, flow is good, feel great being all natural. I focus more on sleep, good nutrition, multi-joint exercises in the gym 4-5 days per week, all good. There is no magic pill or injection, t-Therapy may work for others but it was not worth the risk for me, just be careful out there.
I’ve been on T replacement therapy for at least 15 years. Gels, pellets implanted in the butt and now shots. I’m on shots at home every two weeks because a trip to Mayo Clinic doctors convinced me that shots were the very best delivery system. They were right, the Shot T therapy has been the most beneficial
Injections are the way to go. I got zero absorption with the gels, and they can stick those pellets up their backside. I also found weekly Injections were better than biweekly. Much smoother. Consistent. Not so much peaks and valleys of test levels.
@@rickspalding3047 it's not as bad if you pin your glutes instead of quads. If you want to stop now is the time. Longer you are on it the harder it will be to get your natural levels back up to wherever they were before starting trt.
I think I'll stop for now, I got to cut out the drinking, meditate positive vibrations, get much sleep, I had to masturbate this morning, I was jacked and today was the day to take the test. I started eating more protein and fat for first meal and more carbs for dinner and started taking vitamin d with dinner, instead of earlier and lastly came across something, that antioxidants should be taken at night, I take nac before bed now. Sorry for rambling, hopefully this works, if I straighten my back out I can use heavier weights too
I have all of the symptoms he stated. I went to a doctor to ask about testosterone replacement. He tested me and said I was above average for my age. I'm 63 and would love to have my 25 year old self back, physically.
I've experienced nothing but positive results. It improves my focus, my clarity, my mood, my imagination...everything. I did not begin until I was 64. I'm two years in, and I feel very brain optimized.
I’ve been on trt for about 5 years. Did cypionate for about 3 years and it was just okay for me. Levels were still not as high as my dr or I wanted. But I am also on statins. Not sure if that plays a role in test levels. Switched drs and was offered testopel. My body reacted so much better to testopel. No mood swings no increase in estrogen levels no testicular shrinkage. Find out what works best for you.
Statins are reaaaallly good to have when on testosterone since test can increase ldl cholesterol which can cause plaque to go in your arteries and eventually lead to heart attack many years in the future. Statins lower ldl levels so there is less of a chance of clogging of arteries. Just watch out for muscle aches and inflamed liver that can happen on high dose statins. You’re probably on low dose though so you’re good
There are a couple of things he didn't get deeply into that I have noticed. It's on the heart risk. If you use large doses you will drop your HDL and increase your LDL. Blood pressure also goes up. There's your heart risk. Now if you use a normal replacement healthy dose. Like my testosterone is at 620ng. My HDL actually improved. Blood pressure did still go up a little bit though from when I was low. 120/75 but that was closer to 110 over 70 before I started. For someone with high blood pressure this could be a consideration. Maybe it is the increase in red blood cells? I'm not sure but someone with high blood pressure this could be an issue worth keeping an eye on. Other than that all positive results. Sleep is better. Endurance is better. Brain clarity is better. I feel younger in a nutshell
Word to the wise on vitamin D supplements; it’s fat soluble, so take it with food, preferably fatty food. Also, since it’s not water soluble, so you can have too much. And it helps you absorb calcium, so too much D can lead to kidney stones! Have your dr check your D levels with blood work.
@@ranjanudayashankar1569 I was taking them with breakfast too, but cereal with skim or 1% milk and OJ just wasn’t enough fat to kick it into gear! Started taking it around lunch, which is often a PBnJ, and boom, numbers went up.
Seeing this video and your others have given me hope that maybe my constant fatigue, depression, brain fog, lack of sex interest, could be something that can be alleviated possibly. I have had many tests for energy, been on antidepressants for years and just assumed this was my life now. Am following up with my Doctor for blood tests, thank you Dr Malik for your videos giving me a little hope.
Definitely get testosterone levels checked. I've been on it for 12 weeks now and I feel 10 years younger. Caution though, it can take 6-12 months for some people to notice the energy increase. If it is low T, I hope it's really low, that way insurance will help pick up the cost. It isn't crazy expensive, but over the rest of your life it's a lot of money.
Similar boat, but I would say you should be getting counselling too. A good counselor combined with medication can make all the difference. T may or may not be your issue and you can't hide from your demons...you need to face them head on.
I’ve been on and off antidepressants for years because I feel like they never worked and my psychiatrist recommended I get hormones checked. Turns out my T was at 180 and I’m 28 years old! Going to see a urologist soon and hopefully can get answers finally.
I came upon my testosterone deficiency when I began to experience pvc’s at age 42. I had 6 to 8 pvc’s a minute. I went to cardiologist and they put halter monitor on me. They did treadmill test. They were going to send me to electrophysiology. A friend of mine worked at a mens health clinic told me to come get tested. Neither my internal med md or my cardiologist tested my testosterone. I got tested, I was very low. I started testosterone replacement and my pvc’s stopped. I have now been on weekly injections for 10 years. Guys, get tested. Demand to get testosterone levels tested. Most doctors are ignorant of this.
@@rickspalding3047 I hate the shots too brother. Currently there really is no other option. The pellets can be successful but you are stuck with them for a while with no choice if your levels get to high. Too high testosterone causes your body to convert it to estrogen. Side effects of that is nipple tenderness, acne, moodiness, and can lead to growing boobs. Ideally, you should have your levels checked every couple of weeks until the dose is found that is best for you. Usually look at a 7 day out level of 600-800 without side effects. Some guys are happier on the lower side of that and some higher. I find when I am on the higher side, it is difficult for me to achieve orgasm.

I’m glad I fought for treatment because my pcp tried to deny me TRT and I left the office fuming so I had to really work at getting treated.. now on 140 a wk feeling a lot better
Its BULLSHIT how doctors are so damn ignorant about TRT.Hormones are the body's chemical messengers, sending signals into the bloodstream and tissues. Hormones work slowly, over time, and affect many different processes, including growth and development, metabolism - how your body gets energy from the foods you eat- sexual function, reproduction, and mood. Hormone are like the fluid levels of a cars engine. Its the FIRST thing you check when diagnosing engine problems right? If a cars overheating, you first check the radiators water level right? If the engines knocking, you check the oil.
Very Informative! As a patient of TRT for several years I have been given the opportunity from my physician to self inject. Would love to see a video of how to do this and what specific gauge needles need to be used! Thanks in advance.
I use 30ga insulin needles ( BD brand has worked the best but cheaper ones work also- around $20 for 100- 1ml ) takes a little longer to draw but almost zero pain to inject. I do 70mg injections every 5 days and .02mg of Arimidex to control E2. (.35ml since I use 200mg /ml T-Cyp ) I do it in my quads and alternate left and right. Been doing for around 10 years.
It would be very beneficial for you to go more in depth on the different types of TRT. I have been on AVEED for over 5 years and it works wonderfully for me. It is a slow release testosterone therapy. I get an injection once every 10 weeks. I didn’t do well on the weekly injections as my T levels varied drastically. I heard there are pellets as well. Drs, what are your thoughts on slow release pellet TRT? Thanks so much for this informative video.
My question is which do you think is better, the shot or the pills I am doing the injection every 2 weeks, more dr suggested that I look into the pills instead what is your thoughts??
@@MB-rr1fb I have no idea if it is or not. Fortunately I'm not one affected by low test. However from what I've heard it's supposed to help keep natural testosterone levels going whilst on trt?

I’m 49 years old and did my test with Hone and my free testosterone level was 41! Crazy. I’m always so tired and feel terrible every day. Hoping to get it back over 500.
I believe it to be safe for the majority of men. However if you are prone to any major depressive issue but especially any mood disorders, it can induce these that may have been controlled. I saw it happen with my husband with my own eyes. Definite change in personality. More aggressive and major anger issues. Personality changes like he had no empathy and was 21 again. This was my experience but also many other woman’s experience too. So I would like to see more warnings for people who have mood disorder as testosterone is related so much to mood and emotion for men. Studies show now that testosterone has a high correlation between schizophrenia in that the higher it is, more likely to have an episode. I’ve talked to some endocrinologists about this that are also aware of this. It could save a lot of heartache for some couples. As I said I’m not saying it’s not great for some men, but mood disorders and trt therapy definitely needs to be more discussed and studied, as well as I believe if you are on TRR therapy you should also have an endocrinologist that checks your “free” testosterone as a lot of clinics only check the other T level.
Cos your man should check his estrogen as well ! This happens to me as well . He should check this out for sure or instead of 1 shot of test per week to do it twice or 3 times per week for example oh he’s taking 150 mg per week , let him do 30-40 mg of test every other day that’s option 1 . Option two is if he do 1 shot of 150 after he check his estrogen and if high he can take ar and solve the problem cos this mood swing happens when there is a big flatuations of hormones . Hope that help
Great interview and info!! Testosterone in my mind was mainly about strength and sexual activity. Never associated it with overall health🤦🏾♂️ Physical and Mental
I have been prescribed trt. It’s helped my brain fog a bit and returned confidence that I didn’t realize i lost. I’m able to control myself in situations where I may have yelled in the recent past. I’m cool, calm, collective, and a sexual tyrannosaurus. My hobby is lifting, I feel great doing it, no huge boost as it’s just trt. I look better and recovery is great.
Tons of doubts were lingering in my mind, Now I am very much clear about it, Thank you very much Doctor and really appreciate your efforts for making this video
I’m taking zinc, pumpkin seed oil, pygeum (just started), and saw palmetto. I know it’s a lot but they are naturally derived therapies. If anything if they don’t help BPH and cum force then they are good for something else.
Congratulations! This 2 docs are super! I would like to have in my country doctors like you 2, that really know what they are doing, research, put passion and fo things the right way. But we don't. I tried to have some talks, and they have no idea what and how. Do you have posibility to see patients online also? It is quite depresing not to be able to go on a certain path because you don't havespecialist... Keep on with your work!
I had extremely low T level (less than 150). Since starting TRT (with Hone) I feel normal now. Energy level is back, erection in the morning returned, depression under control, life is much better 😊
I had low Test (350 ngdl), typical 58 YO issues. But I got on TRT mainly to get muscle gain. I lift heavy & intensely 4-5 days/week and wanted reasonable gains. 4 months later, I only got severe acne, hair growing all over and NO noticeable gains for my $ & needles. Got off of TRT & glad.
The acne comes on strong for the first 3-4 months but then it goes away for the most part. You’re not getting jacked on TRT. Only good effect for me is higher sex drive, a little vascularity and it definitely keeps me lean. Muscle gain only happens in those that are on 200 plus a week which puts you in danger of bad side effects
Dr. Malik I have learned a lot from your advice thank you so much. But I think I’ve learned more from this show than any other, had no clue that there was such a need for T as we age . Also didn’t know it was so safe, I’ve always thought of it as very risky . Thanks too both your Dr’s.
About 6 months ago, I have been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer. I am a Gleason 9 (4+5) and my PSA was at 24. Initially, they found malignant lesions on my pelvic bone as well as a lymph node. A few weeks ago, I learned that the cancer had spread to my lower back. I have been on ADT for 5 months now. I started with Casodex, than Zoladex was administered. 3 weeks ago, I started undergoing Beam therapy (radiation therapy RT). I still have 2.5 weeks of RT left. I have almost every possible side-effect listed for Zoladex. I have back aches, extreme fatigue, diarrhea, spinal compression, severe mood swings, severe hot flashes, sleep deprivation, muscle ache and impotence etc. I also lost about 15 lbs of muscle mass and replaced it with 25 lbs of fat, mostly around my waist. Also, the RT has left me with severe rectal irritation and diarrhea. My testosterone levels are now barely detectable. Last Friday, I had my first piece of good news: my PSA is now at 0.2. My oncologist has now prescribed Erleada for further blocking any testosterone production. I have approached my oncologist about TRT. We soon are to have a discussion about the subject. Thanks for your informative video!
In 2016 I had a healthy PSA of 1.6, went on testosterone shortly after with the recommendation of my doctor. Now, I have a prostate at 96cc which about 5x the size of a normal healthy prostate, and have a pirads level 2 lesion on my prostate. It is a matter of time before this will transition to cancer. Note, I maintain a healthy body weight, exercise, eat mostly vegetarian diet, eat chicken and/or fish a few times a month. The men in my family have no history of prostate problems. I have major testicular atrophy which is distressing. My sex drive is relentless on T to the point of being antagonizing. If I had the potency of a 20 yo it wouldn’t be a problem, but like many older guys, my ability to perform contributes to nagging sexual frustration. I do have to watch mood swings. If I could go back, I’d never would have gone on TRT. I tried coming off but my T levels dropped to around 90 and lost all energy, (normal is between 200 to 1100).
Cancer is a ho man. Glad you are able to do enough and stay fit and active. Prayers brother, you got this.
I do 1/2 mil every week. Just a little fluctuation but I’m fine with it.

I’ve been on trt since I was 40yrs I’m 56 now... life is good. There are sides, but can be easily maintained. Most doctors don’t have a clue about trt and how it works and frown on it! These urologists are right on the money about trt. It’s a life choice would never go back!
What sides do you have? What's your weekly dosage?
After a month of TRT my doctor asked me how I felt. My best description was, "It's like somebody cleaned the windows." You never realized they were dirty or dingy because they got that way over time. Then suddenly, you see clear through them. Yes, there are times that the labido kicks in like I am eighteen again. That can be a little frustrating when your partner is not feeling it too. Then there are those days when the partner is feeling it too. So just like normal life, it all balances out. All in all, a TRT was a good choice for me Shots two times a week.

Exercising and eating well is something I do anyway but the TRT has been amazing for me and my wife enjoys my energy.
That was probably the most useful episode I've seen. But, the real question is: How do I find a credible Testosterone Clinic?
@@keithgraham9547 I have an appointment with my PCP this week. I will inquire about the things you mentioned. Thanks!

@@eduardosierra7181 theres no need for such a young man to be on it ,only in America are docs such idiots, all commercially driven.

Same here friend!

- That's actually awful!

Unfortunately, USADA now bans TRT thanks to Chael Sonnen even if legitimately doctor prescribed. Stay amature my friend.
I’ve fought all my life with low test. I got tested a few times and was at 150-200 levels. Always at a disadvantage. Thinking about doing TRT since I am getting older
300?? I got you beat lol. I’m 42 and got recently tested and it came back 137. Yes you read that right
Your vids are very helpful and informative, Im 55 yo, I've been on TR injections, about .75m once a week, self administered at home, been working out fine for me, also take a little clomiphene once and a while, it all helps w more energy, reduced stress, better labido/drive and prolonged sleep.
I receive a half dose, the full dose was raising my red blood count. I am feeling better better now. I am 68 years old.
I have been on TRT for 3 years changed my life! My levels were 388. I am 57 years old.. Better sleep, better sex, the list goes on. I have tried diet and vitamins and working out was not enough Small doses weekly diet and I work out 5 days a week. The combination is game changer!!

For the people here that are having trouble getting their doctor to prescribe TRT, you probably need to find a doctor that doesn't accept insurance. It sounds weird but you will have a better, more interactive check up. It's not that expensive to do this and means the doctor isnt as constrained by the insurance guidelines
Do you recommend a general practitioner?
TRUE!
I fall in the category of men whose blood thickens while taking Testosterone shots. I have to give blood every couple of months. Why is it doctors don’t tell patients this beforehand so the patients can make a fully informed decision? All you say are the positive effects....never negative side effects. This video is a prime example.
Testosterone does not cause thick blood.
It can cause blood clots
Wylee Coyotee So I guess all the teenage boys/men running around with high testosterone are at risk of blood clots as well? Testosterone does not cause blood clots.🙄
@Willy Hawkins
Natural testosterone their own body produces won't cause blood clots.
Artificial testosterone taken by old dudes when their own levels naturally drop with aging, yes it does cause clots. It's a documented side effect.

I found it interesting that they only mentioned getting blood drawn once. I have been on TRT for several years and on my 3rd physician overseeing my progress. This can lead to stroke and other cardiovascular issues.
I now donate every 4 months and haven’t had an issue since. Donating blood is important for males regardless of TRT. Is like an oil change for us. I can’t stress enough, the importance of it. Highly recommend!

Statins lower ldl levels so there is less of a chance of clogging of arteries. Just watch out for muscle aches and inflamed liver that can happen on high dose statins. xl-Colden-22-lx Everything you said is total bullshit with regards to testosterones effect on lipids. 🙄
Statins 👎
I used to take it on empty stomach first thing in the morning but I switched recently to after eating breakfast.
Its been 3 months, I hate giving myself shots, 😒
What was your total T before treatment?
@@joea2r my total T before treatment was in the low 100s
@@johnmeister8429 yeah, I was low but in range, it was like 10 weeks, I just stopped taking it, lol, might look into that tonga Ali stuff, along with ashwaghanda helps
My total test was 63 Free was 1.2
That’s the lowest score I’ve ever seen , im a 39 year old male. I lifted and played sports my whole life but I found myself completely disabled… I had no energy no vigor no sex drive and didn’t care about it.
I've been doing this for about 3 months, weekly I hate giving myself shots
It would be very beneficial for you to go more in depth on the different types of TRT. I have been on AVEED for over 5 years and it works wonderfully for me. It is a slow release testosterone therapy. I get an injection once every 10 weeks. I didn’t do well on the weekly injections as my T levels varied drastically. I heard there are pellets as well. Drs, what are your thoughts on slow release pellet TRT? Thanks so much for this informative video.
I can get testosterone what amount should I do
And where I’m 49 and a dad body and moody I’m told lol
10 weeks!! Most esters should be dosed every 5-10 days
My question is which do you think is better, the shot or the pills I am doing the injection every 2 weeks, more dr suggested that I look into the pills instead what is your thoughts??
@@BroBatman stick to shots, also got prescribed an estrogen blocker(Anastrozol), and HCG.
In Europe HCG is quite common and relatively cheap for TRT. Most TRT is given with HCG.
Wow is that BAD advice, eventually your testes won't make a drop of T
@@MB-rr1fb I have no idea if it is or not. Fortunately I'm not one affected by low test.
However from what I've heard it's supposed to help keep natural testosterone levels going whilst on trt?
@@MB-rr1fb HCG keeps your testes from shrinking
Im 36 and was tested and had a level of 230 my doctor seems to be hesitant about the trt but I'm leaning towards doing it.
Thanks for sharing such helpful TRT insights with all of us! It's great to see experts like you helping everyone understand hormones better. Keep up the good work!
I’m 49 years old and did my test with Hone and my free testosterone level was 41! Crazy. I’m always so tired and feel terrible every day. Hoping to get it back over 500.
How are you feeling today?
This is a fantastic video. I'm very happy to have found this channel.
Great interview and info!!
Testosterone in my mind was mainly about strength and sexual activity. Never associated it with overall health🤦🏾♂️
Physical and Mental
Fantastic video, im 52 and you guys took me to school, thank you.
I had extremely low T level (less than 150). Since starting TRT (with Hone) I feel normal now. Energy level is back, erection in the morning returned, depression under control, life is much better 😊
I'm 38 and always had morning wood, but for the last three years or so I rarely have them. Plus low energy and mood. You think I need some trt?
Go test your levels bro. It could be anything. I still have morning wood but last week i tested 154.
I’m 32 years old and the doctor told me i have about 250 testosterone. I really need to fix it
I have MS and the TS therapy has improved my overall health and improved my sex life.
