My problem is that he is basically 4 different characters. Alchemy (when mind controlled), CGI savitar, Body suit Savitar, and Barry Savitar, all feel like completely different characters when they are supposed to be the same person I can forgive Barry savitar, but not the noticeable difference between body suit Savitar and CGI Savitar
Yeah it's probably because of the budget of the show, both sides have pros and cons. Full cgi suit looks cool af but the scenes can be lacking of times (due to budget and time) just look at Savitar vs Jay, it's good but rough. If we had an entire season of that it would get old quick even if it felt more powerful. The suit looks nice and is far more "real" but the downside is that seeing it after cgi savitar it looks like a major downgrade, it doesn't look as imposing. If they had just used the suit fully throughout the show then we wouldn't have this weird missmatch but I think they worked around it pretty well with a good mix of cgi and suit scenes. It's far better and more effort than the later seasonss for sure. But I do agree that s3 storytelling was very iffy at times, but the show has never been too consistent anyway, if Savitar acted like he did when he first appeared all the time he would win very quickly.

This is why he's my favorite everything from his design to the music they gave him. It made him feel like a God of speed . I remember the first time I watched it and he said to Barry you may serve the speed force flash but I rule it I am your God It was just so good. For me I wasn't sure, I knew they were going go with Future Flash as a Villain but I didn't believe it was going to be s3 material. Then it started to dawn on me, the blue lightning and him saying "I am the future flash!" but it was like midseason when I came to conclusion its going to be Barry. This was an Incredible Masterpiece Video for Savitar. Savitar is My Fifth Favorite Villain in The Flash. Grant Gustin did a Phenomenal Performance Bringing This Darker Version of Bartholomew Henry Allen to Life. Plus The Creator’s of The Flash must had a lot of Money Because They Got The Legendary Tobin Bell (Jigsaw) to Voice Savitar and he did an Incredible Performance for The Voice of Savitar/The God of Speed. I’m so happy that Savitar is coming back for The Flash’s Final Season and I’m hoping that Grant Gustin gets to play him for a final time.
I hope that we get some scenes where all old villains discuss each other, i want see again Savitar unmasked as Grant gustin, and i wish to see too that Savitar somehow will redeem himself and help team flash to defeat the other villains, because at the time of s3, i was really sorry about Savitar Barry get shunned by team flash in his timeline .
Savitar was literally the biggest threat barry ever faced, mainly because he's the fastest mf in the entire arrowverse and he knows everything barry know before barry even knows it. He's such a fucking menace, and i genuinely don't know how they defeated him. Also, while im ranting. I think its awesome that, throughout the first half of the entire 3rd season, there is nothing that suggests that Savitar is not a speed god. There's the supernatural-ness to his presence, his confidence in his speech and the choice of his words, his cult following, his utter power (not just his speed.) What see common with most of us fans is that sanitary speed was far to inconsistent we can agreed their was no problem with this being an alternate Barry. But they dropped the ball on him being a menace Zoom and reverse flash stay constantly faster then Barry and as unstoppable only until near or at their down falls the second savitar was released he became less of a threat and we had supporting characters matching up with him. Which ruined the fun of seeing another powerful speedster you set the bar so high and well for him he was so fast that he made the others look slow but unfortunately it felt like you guys didn't really didn't know what you wanted him to be at some point
Well…there WAS a problem with him being an alternate Barry, and it was that the season could never decide how he felt about killing Iris. Was he gleeful about it? Was he resigned to it? The season kept switching on that front. And no version of Barry would ever be GLEEFUL about killing Iris anyway…nor would he even go through with it
I wish, imagine prime Barry Vs all the evil speedsters. It would be way more epic than Barry vs multiple Godspeeds. Or maybe Barry and every good speedster vs every evil speedster. It would be nice to see Wally Vs Savitar and Jay vs Zoom.

Yeah it felt like body suit Savitar was a completely different charavter for me. CGI Savitar was faster , taller, and stronger in every regard unless the philosopher stone was locked away. Cold and calculating. Body suit Savitar was really liked to monologue and was immensely slower.

If you’re talking about Barrytar, i don’t think there was a legitimate reason, because of the scar. I assume it was because he needed it to go faster/protect his body since he went so fast. If you’re talking about when Savitar was defeated and Flash Barry took over the suit, then it’s probably because he wanted to prove that he would never become Savitar, and let the darkness take over. This was the last good season of the Flash imo. Everything after that was just so dumb.
In my opinion I feel it was just a writers way to help the viewer tell who is who if both savitar and barry was the same it would be hard to tell which barry was which so they gave evil barry the scar and the suit to tell us who he was to stick out from our barry This may be headcanon but I feel the suit has nothing to do with his speed but he wanted to look like a god hence "I outgrew red" saying how the generic red suit didn't feel as godly as his metallic suit
I think the suit cloud affect barry and make him insane just like barry, also once barry got into the suit, it was glowing red (before it was blue) so basically barry would turn into negative savitar. The suit is made from future tech, we have no idea how it affects person wearing it.

The only thing that bothered me was that Savitar lost 75% of his speed he originally had while he was imprisoned in the Speed Force and was as fast as S3 Flash was (armor equipped of course)
Also...how can Savitar be described in one sentence ? This one: "I am the Future Flash..!"

Yeah it felt like body suit Savitar was a completely different charavter for me.
CGI Savitar was faster , taller, and stronger in every regard unless the philosopher stone was locked away. Cold and calculating.
Body suit Savitar was really liked to monologue and was immensely slower.

Is it ever explained why Barry needed to or chose to wear the Savitar suit?
If you’re talking about Barrytar, i don’t think there was a legitimate reason, because of the scar. I assume it was because he needed it to go faster/protect his body since he went so fast.
If you’re talking about when Savitar was defeated and Flash Barry took over the suit, then it’s probably because he wanted to prove that he would never become Savitar, and let the darkness take over.
This was the last good season of the Flash imo. Everything after that was just so dumb.
In my opinion I feel it was just a writers way to help the viewer tell who is who if both savitar and barry was the same it would be hard to tell which barry was which so they gave evil barry the scar and the suit to tell us who he was to stick out from our barry
This may be headcanon but I feel the suit has nothing to do with his speed but he wanted to look like a god hence "I outgrew red" saying how the generic red suit didn't feel as godly as his metallic suit
I think the suit cloud affect barry and make him insane just like barry, also once barry got into the suit, it was glowing red (before it was blue) so basically barry would turn into negative savitar. The suit is made from future tech, we have no idea how it affects person wearing it.
