The PSP 1000 is my favourite model PSP. I think the 3000 feels too light and cheap. I still play PSP regularly, and I've been buying more UMD games even though I have lots of isos because I like using physical games.

The 2000 model is great. Nice bright screen and if you use CFW it's awesome
Full speed portable PS1 games on the go as well in 2006, especially if you downloaded them on a hacked unit. Even today people look for handhelds that can emulate it properly.

As much as I like the 1000, I have a psp slim and it's fully hacked and the battery has been hacked and the only thing wrong with mine is the display is eating it's self , I'm the original owner spent mad amount of hours on the psp , I found a link to a better display and have been thinking about doing a repair video with it once I'm able to order the parts . Thanks for keeping the classic gaming Alive and well 😊

Hi there wicked, you may want to consider buying a mem duo to sd card adapter. I have the twin slot one so i have 2 64gb sd cards and they work fine. Plenty of space for roms and homebrew. Thanks for the upload. Really like your content.

Hi Wicked, you should do a follow up video with the custom firmware. You can get two 64gb cards in a dual Microsoft adapter for this. Also you can do an IPS screen mod on these as well and it looks great.

I bought my PSP from Japan when it first launched. Had to sell my silver PS2 phat to afford it! I still have it and there's barely a mark on it. I've never seen a dead pixel on the screen, I didn't know it was a thing. The only complaint I have, and this is being really nit-picky considering it's almost 20 years old, is the little case that came with it, all the piping has deteriorated. I took the system out again recently and wondered what the hell was all over it and it was little flakes of piping! Otherwise it's pretty mint, I've got the original box and all the bumph too, but mine's all in Japanese! I won't ever get rid of it.
I've got custom firmware on mine too, and bought a Micro SD adaptor so I can fit a lot of games on it now. My first game for it was Medievil, I love those games!

Love this vid, had one shipped in early from lik sang (RIP) to UK and funnily enough ridge racer aswell. I genuinely do think it's one of the most timeless consoles ever. I've since then bought vitas and a pspgo cos it was cheap, I still play the psp games on my hacked vita more than anything else. I'd love to see more of this 👍

My PSP 1000 has the notorious malfunctioning analogue stick problem. Even using the recalibration software with the custom FW doesn't fix the problem. I've viewed videos on TH-cam of how to physically repair the badly designed stick mechanism but they look too complicated to me.

Ik had mijn ds lite weer gevonden na 7 jaar. De ds battery had gewoon nog stroom na al deze tijd....heel knap . De psp battery loopt vanzelf leeg na 3 weken . Ik heb dit nooit begrepen

I bought it 8 years ago second hand from a fellow gamer. Did clean and polish the casing back at the day. 😀 and i'm super careful with my products.

6.60 infinity cfw is the way to go I wouldn't recommend 6.61 as it has issues with popsloader

Its sad that no one cares about it but you can always download the PPSSPP app and some games and play on your device even though the psp plays games at full speed compared to many devices that slow down in some games

I own 4 PSP. The PSP 1000 is the worst model. The screen is bad and you cannot connect it to your TV. I connect the PSP with a Easycel upscaler to my TV. If you want to buy a PSP battery then I recommend you to buy the Insten battery on ebay. If you don't use the PSP for a long time then you must remove the battery. Your battery can break if you don't use it for a long time.
