Since all PSPs are hackable, a broken UMD drive literally means bugger all.
I yanked my UMD drive on my 2000 model and replaced the battery and UMD with a cell phone battery. Worth it.

I remember having a psp but I sold it to a kid who wanted it bcoz he was too broke to buy it from the shop I remember it was his birthday so I sold it cheap I still miss the psp but happy that I sold it to him feel proud now.....
I took my PSP everywhere, it was like a smartphone for me I got an extended battery had a bunch of my music on it and games of course and used Myspace on it when that was a thing, good times

Yeah, good times, it could also do fb, very poorly, but back in 2009/10 fb was not that complex and you could do almost everything, great piece of tech
I had a PSP as as kid. I mainly used it as an MP3 player but more as a video player since the screen was so nice!! It was cool being able to load movies on there in just raw MP4 format ripped directly from DVD. I had several full albums on my memory card and the music visualizers were always cool. The games were also a lot better than other consoles, and I could take full games like Littlebigplanet on the go! I also eventually got the camera attachment and I took a bunch of pictures on there. Too bad I lost my old memory card somewhere because there were a bunch of pictures of friends from my middle school days on there that I don't have anywhere else!!

I got a P!nk edition PSP 1004 when I was 9 years old and it was my everything, I took it with me everywhere and had all my music and games and movies on it.
I’m 24 now and it still works just like it used to, I play it sometimes to relive those moments from my childhood.
Such an amazing console, glad I picked it over the Nintendo DS at the time! 😌

Recently modded my bright pink 1st gen fat psp, brilliant device, even though it draws some funny looks when in public. Fact of the matter is it was cheaper when my mom bought it for my 7th birthday in 2007. I like it though, kinda unique.
I recently repaired my old psp and I forgot how nostalgic it is lol. Nice video 👍

Not for nothing, but I worked for Goodwill Canada for a short time and my job was literally testing these kinds of things to see if they could go on the floor. 🤷 I had no clue they even sold untested goods.

I love the PSP the idea of getting my hands on so many feels like a dream cuz I never got to play anything multiplayer when I had mine I'd just find some bored PSP loving somebody and go nuts
You actually don't need a battery and can just use AC power for a PSP.
Did that for months after my battery died
I still have my psp, it's sitting on a counter with my old DVDs. Watching this takes me back, think I'll take the game out and play some Iron man on it. Thanks for the upload.

The latest OFW is 6.61 and it’s hackable. No reason not to be on that unless you have custom themes etc that don’t work on it. The memory sticks aren’t valuable because there’s a micro sd adapter you can get for a few bucks and have 128gb and even higher if you wanted. Update them to 6.61 and add PRO-C. It’s really easy.
Good to know, thanks for the info. Also yeah you’re right on the memory sticks, I just checked eBay and they sell for like $10 lol. Last time I looked was years ago when I had to buy my own PSP memory stick, and it was way too expensive lol

This may be odd but as a former goodwill employee were not suppose to sell and electronics that may hold memory. They get put in a good tec bin and recycled.

When you said that Goodwill packages their shipments very good, and then you had that one where 5 PSPs were just stacked together even though it was bubble wrapped all the way around it.
Here’s my story about buying a Nintendo DS Lite from that website. I believe it was shipped from Washington state. Cannot remember exactly where, but when I received it the DS was in that thin plasticy envelope and inside it was in that plastic bag they use to keep track of it when it’s in their possession. There was NO bubble wrap or protection of that system at all! I got very nervous thinking that it was just broken or something else. Luckily the darn thing was in great shape and turned on without any problems.
If I get anything else from this site I’ll either do a local pickup which I have done or buy from the Goodwill locations that do a good job at packaging.l especially for electronics. Sheesh!
Yeah, the PSPs stacked was not great. I’ve never had a package that didn’t have lots of bubble wrap though. They generally do a pretty good job packaging, but yeah I’m not sure why they stacked the PSPs like that, kinda defeated the purpose of the bubble wrap
On a positive note, you did get pretty lucky with a bunch of mostly working PSPs. I’m amazed!

Had a the psp like the torn off skin one , the skin is if I remember from force unleashed I never seen another with one on it it was like a blast from the past when u flipped it around. Wish I never got rid of mine.

I bought a PSP last year, I still had to buy a memory card but I managed to do so. Although the battery drains quickly, I do use it for cool games tho.

Hi, i have a faulty psp 2000. When powered on it gives no picture. Once in a month it does give a picture, but has artifacts. Have you seen any psp with that problem?

Depends on the game you are trying to play it it some are way worse than console and others are almost identical to the console. Like the bigger hits GTA vice city stories and others

The last number on the PSP e.g 3001. That one is your region, So its a PSP 3000. Region 1. My PSP is PSP 1003, PSP 1000 region 3. Just so you know.
I just bought one from Goodwill for 10 bucks bought it home put my other psp battery in it and it came on the one I have from Goodwill is a 3000 and the other one from when I was a teenager is a 1000

My PSP never held a charge when sitting around not being used same goes for my PS Vita now my Nintendo DS light and my Nintendo 3ds hold chargers even after years of sitting around.
