Wow! Thank you so much. I teach elementary computer science. I think you've spelled it out well enough for my kids to understand. We love articulated designs. I'm excited to show this to the kids!
Great video. I wish I had spotted it when I was designing my printer chassis. The part collection feature would have saved me many many hours. I will most surely be using it in the future. :)
Calling this "parametric" may not be precise, but it sure is powerful. As a user of both Tinkercad and Fusion 360, I think both have their plusses and minuses, and much of what I know about Tinkercad's coolest features comes from Chuck's cool tips and tricks.
Now if Autodesk would build some Tinkercad magic into Fusion 360, we could have the best of both worlds. It would also be neat if you could convert Tinkercad designs to Fusion 360 designs and vice versa. But I'll say it again, you are most definitely the Wizard of Tinkercad. Thanks again for all the great tips and tricks, so clearly demonstrated.
Hi mate, cool video. Just wanted to ask how you were able to open up the 'Part Collection' menu on the right hand side? I have been trying to find it, but no luck. How do you go about saving shapes you have created for later use? Am I missing something? Thanks!
The more I watch you use tinkercad and see what is can do, the more I want to learn about it. It also makes me want to use Fusion 360 less. I watched a video from Joel (3d printing nerd) about how to import hardware (nuts and bolts) profiles into Fusion 360. I wonder if the same process (or something like it) is possible with tinkercad.
Thanks for sharing. When I duplicate the line, it only adds it to the same location and not 14mm from center-point. How do I duplicate with the 14mm already positioned?
Thanks for this vid, I didn't realize you could do this. I've been moving it manually all this time. Ignore the ppl complaining that it's "nOt pAraMetrIc", like no shit sherlock ofc it ain't, but if all of us were engineers who could use fusion360 then why would we even need a baby program like tinkercad? Sheesh.
I just looked at you channel via a pc and it shows all your created Playlists.... On the android TH-cam app it only shows your "Saved Playlists" and "Filament Friday" list... Hmmm.????
This demonstrates some cool techniques for TC, but Good LORD, this would have been so much easier in OpenSCAD as a general solution, especially if you use the Customizer for tweaking the parameters! As a bonus, you can use any DXF (...or SVG with an .scad export plugin for Inkscape) file for your outline.
I can't believe I'm saying this (cause I sound ridiculous) but... The Batman is the guy in the suit. That thing is actually called a batarang a play on the word boomerang. Its something he throws. I love the videos, keep em coming!
This is not parametric, with true parametric design, the spacing between slices could be changed even after the slicing has been done. If your parameters cannot be changed after it has been set, then it's not actually parametric.
I like your videos but that's not parametric, parametric let's you change parameters later if you want different sizes or offsets and the model updates according to the changes
Tinkercad changed the name "Part Collection" to "Your Creations". Click on that, select your object, then hit "Create Shape". You should hopefully get a similar screen to the "Create Part" screen in the video.
Did you literally copy Nery's video and remake it with your face in it? I diidnt watch the video so excuse me if it brings some new "way" of accomplishing the same thing.
Awesome tips - Tinkercad is more powerful than its name implies.
Awesome! I have to practice that parametric tip! Would have cut the time to make in half! Thanks!

Glad you liked it
I'm brand new to 3D Printing and am starting with Tinkercad. This video is amazing! Thank you!
Yes!!! I just learnt a LOT in less than 8 minutes, CHEP channel rocks!!
Every time I think I've reached my limit with TinkerCAD, something new comes up. Great tip and video!
Awesome Video! I came here to learn about the joint and found that your ruler tip was VERY helpful! thank you for this :)
Great video. I wish I had spotted it when I was designing my printer chassis. The part collection feature would have saved me many many hours. I will most surely be using it in the future. :)
Honestly didn't think tinker cad was this powerful. Thanks for showing this to me!!!
My favorite 3d printing channel. Making things that look hard easy to understand
I always love using that duplicate trick when placing multiples. Nice video showing the powers contained and waiting to be unleashed in Tinkercad!
Wow, this is so much easier. Thanks for showing this.

It's like calling a slide-rule a "computer". Yeah, I guess technically it is that, but that's not how the term is ordinarily understood.
Thanks for the tips, you make complicated things in tinkercad seem so simple
Fantastic, followed the tutorial and made it perfectly and printed great. Thanks for the video
This is great. I always enjoy more efficient ways to use tinkercad
Great stuff like your tutorial. Very informative.
Great time saving tip. Now it would be awesome if you would make a Chep style video on how to make screw top lid containers in tinkercad.

I like the part where he said duplicate, duplicate, duplicate. +1 subscriber.
you are the best one!!!!! i learned with your videoooss!! From italy!!! 🚀🇮🇹🇮🇹
Hi. Watched Chris’s. Going to try yours. Thank you.
Very clever! Thanks much for creating the video!
Nice!!!! Defiantly going to have some fun with this
Nice use of Tinkercad.

thanks for the tip... Just the tip!!!

Awesome video... What would be the possibility of a series or Playlist on Tinkercad tutorials, tips and tricks?
Thanks.... I did look for it but I didn't see this specific Playlist. It isn't in the Playlist tab of your channel. Operator error... Lol.
I just looked at you channel via a pc and it shows all your created Playlists.... On the android TH-cam app it only shows your "Saved Playlists" and "Filament Friday" list... Hmmm.????
I'm trying to make a tail for a Halloween costume would this work the same with a cylinder shape??
Great job! Good tips!
helps a ton! thanks 👍
Awesome vid as usual :)
good work stay safe
looking forward to watching more videos
im also sharing, create , and doing alot of tinkercad video

I love the videos, keep em coming!
every time I hit hole and group it leaves a thin outline of the hole instead of a hole
Why not make half of the bat and then mirror it and join the 2 halves?
It says I can’t bring the Batman into tinker cad

frank26080115 yeah that confused me as well when I saw it... Fusion is still king :)
always gotta be that one douchebag *well, um, actually!*
I usually appreciate those type of people, and I have faith that they did it out of good will.
ive seen these and their pretty cool, I wish I saw this before I tried making a bear
I wish tinkercad had a skin wrap tool
I like your videos but that's not parametric, parametric let's you change parameters later if you want different sizes or offsets and the model updates according to the changes
"Capture new part" - why do i not have that function in my Tinkercad??
how do i save to favorites? i'm trying to learn 3D design and i'm a little clueless
Tinkercad changed the name "Part Collection" to "Your Creations". Click on that, select your object, then hit "Create Shape". You should hopefully get a similar screen to the "Create Part" screen in the video.
@@aaryabatchu1831 thank you
Hey Chuck! Next time you can just use Ctrl + D to duplicate.
how did you make the hinge?
He downloaded it, didn’t you watch the video?
Hi , I just tried to do the hinge and it cut away half the hing and left me with a square hole
you shouldn't pick the hinges.
Sorry for not asking Chuck, but can you do a video showing how to flash the marlin. Thanks.
Can you tell me how can I design a himge? 😊
Google it
Sir what about support? At the printing will we give support or not?
Please reply 🙏😊
No support
Can you or someone explain to me what parametric means?
It means design based a values (or parameters) you can change to adjust the design
Bonjour, je n'y arrive pas ca me découpe le trou de la charnière, snif
this does not work
the cutout cuts all of the hinge away
never mind, great video
I don't think I would call this parametric. If it were parametric, its position would be the result of a constraint analysis - isn't this hard coded?
what a seriously reply.... he just stated his thoughts...
pog
This is not parametric at all. If you want to remake it with another distance, you`ll have to redo everything from the start.

He sounds like Bill Murray.

ok, but come on and be creative, your an electronics guru, make videos with electronics as a package with 3d printed stuff
