I do not comment much but this was so helpful I had to say Thank you!!!! You made this so much less intimidating to the point that I am customizing all kinds of stuff for FPV!
Drop a workplane on your orange ovals, then hit 'D', the negative rectangle to cut off the letters will be perfectly aligned with the flat surface and will remove 100% of the letters instead of leaving a small amount behind.
I hope this is as easy as you make it look. I was okay maybe halfassed at auto cad like 15 years ago. Now I’m about to try this because I just bought a 3D printer
I’ve got a drawer in my entertainment center for console controllers and it’s always cluttered. I want to make a set of stands that will hold the controllers… and the stand will also house a magnetic charging cable for each (or a few) of the controllers. So it will hopefully be easier for my kids to charge the controllers without breaking the charging ports. Each consoles controller is different so I’m using several stl files and I’ll hopefully be able to make it stream lined and simple. Cheers!
I don't know if you covered this and edited it out( you do have some quick cuts), but the model I've selected apparently is considered too large by tinkercad. How do you resolve that.
Question: If you want to significantly changing the size of a STL design found on Thingiverse, how do you preserve the size of things like hinges and latches? I found a Pelican case design on thingiverse that is huge (525mmx432mmx165mm) and my desired size size is 160mmx125mmx 45mm). If I drag the entire model to the smaller size, doesn't that collapse the hinges and latch connections also? What's the best way to achieve a working but smaller size case?
Probably a late response, but you can import stl models into sketchup, besides tinkercad, your only option is to modify the model. Sketchup is surprisingly easy to use.
I have been using Tinker cad for about 4 months now, glad I came across your video. That ruler helps tremendously, struggled for ages on this ,as I own and fly quads , so I have similar problem lining holes. Wouldn't it be great if they had a free hand sketch tool and a rubber like in paint. Or do they? Thanks again
Hi Adam just joined your channel and love it. Your a good teacher for the beginner 3D'er. I just got my first printer this month and already having a blast printing the stuff that we made together even though I don't have a gopro or a drone and any way ty. but now I'm having a problem with some of the stuff i made most of it is printing good (for example) a flat heart shape that is 2.25 mm thick but one side is lifting up during the printing process. i have the Creality Ender 3 pro I'm running the bed temp at 60 and just one side and bottom of the heart is lifting off the bed. Any Ideas on how I can fix this problem I'm all ears. thanks
Hi! Thanks, Jeff! If only one part of the print is lifting, it may be a bed level issue (that part of the bed is lower than the rest). Or it could just be an adhesion issue, in which case make sure the bed is very clean (if glass). Also try printing with a "brim" around the print (about 5 layers). Also check out this CHEP video about a cool cura plugin th-cam.com/video/D45eIhoWSyg/w-d-xo.html . Or you could buy Magigoo adhesion compound (I think it works great!).
@@RCwithAdam1 thanks Adam I’ve watched some of your other videos and some other people videos and noticed that you were printing on glass I went to my local hardware store and bought a couple of pieces that fit my bed and now I’m not having that problem thanks again
I use SainSmart brand. It's very flexible and strong when printed thin, but can be quite rigid if printed more densely. It does stretch, but not much (nothing like a rubber band). What kind of object do you want to print?
@@RCwithAdam1 i would like to print gopro mounts for my fpv drone and bumper frames for the fpv drone, thank you for your response! what softness is your sainsmart? a95?
Good but too much talking/unsure changes. I'm looking for; importing a STL design, items within the STL design be changed, i.e. STL CNC-clamp needs to be lengthen, but inside the clamp the M6 mounting slot needs to also be elongate - how? There is no simple way of just altering the item dimensions of the STL design/elements. It looks like I'll need to create an all new slot hole and overlay it - how burdensome.

Really nice production work -- loved the zoom frames for the action icons (mirror, group, etc) and the audio was nice and clear. Great vid!
Excellent tutorial! Just what I needed.

Awesome video. Thanks for taking the time to show this.
Thanks, James! Glad it helps!
Thank you so much for sharing this info! You’ve given me some confidence and ideas on how to make what I’ve been wanting for a while.
Glad I could help! Thanks for the feedback! What are you making?

Nice job…..what was the type of filament? It looked flexible or rubbery
Spot on mate, great tuition, great delivery, just what I needed as I'm relatively new to 3d printing. Cheers. Mick 🇬🇧
Super! Glad I could help! 👌
Awesome tutorial. Just what I needed. Thanks
Thanks for letting me know! Glad I could help!
Thanks
Amazing tutorial! Thanks 👍
Thanks. Big help for a newbie!
Glad I could help! Welcome aboard!
The moment you grouped the oval and the hardware and aero changed to Afro. It was great 😂
Very good job! Thumb up 👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!

Very good, tnx
Thanks Adaam!
Erm really good tutorial err I did err learn a a a alot erm ahh thanks 👍
When i put it in cura, and preview it, theres a bunch of holesin my model???
ji5 for the good work :D i can fly now, beacause of you.... (good critic)
Have fun!

SHABAMMMMMMMMM
ca you plz explain me about transmitter and reacever
Hi! What would you like to know? 😁
What is the name of the tool to meassure?
It's called a micrometer. The digital ones make it very easy to ready the measurements.

Glad it helped! They sort of do (i think it's called the "scribble" tool), but it doesn't work very well.

🎉
What filament do you used?
And what printer do you have?
For TPU I've been using SainSmart brand, and for PLA I like 3D-Fuel. And I have an Ender 3 and CR10. This was printed on the CR10.
it quite good I think... ofcuz it can modelling cars
From AERO to AFRO in one click.
LOL I just noticed that! 😂
