I think the mt09 is an objectively better bike. its got practically everything the z900se has but more adjustment in the suspension, cruise control, and a quickshifter. it might be $800 more but id pay $800 for fully adjustable suspension alone, not to mention the QS and CC. I do think the z900 sounds better and looks better though.
also the z900se doesnt have fully adjustable suspension in the front or rear. its rebound and compression in the front and preload in the back. not bad but not as good as fully adjustable

Well both bikes are good, it depends on the consumer's taste when it comes on picking. But Kawasaki sure got their bikes premium at lower price compare to their competitors.

in mid range MT09 faster, is best option for street and traffic jams, is lighter and easier to steer but Z900 nice sound and best choice for out of town

MT09 hands down, has a better power/weight ratio, 6-axes IMU, and quick-shifter. Handling, agility, and cornering are way above Z9. The Kawasaki is only better in a straight line.

Plus, there are a million playful bikes.
Really good comparison video. I’m going to go look at MT09’s tomorrow, they have quicker acceleration and better features but theyre not as fast as Z900s
MT09 SP is quick, very quick, I have one. With it's high bars, torque, electronics and quick shifter it's also great at commuting and capable of touring.
"not as fast" ... you are usin your top speed like 0-4% during your rides, so it absolutely makes no pont. better electronics, better handling and power-weight ratio makes you faster anytime on a regular size track or a canyon road rather than having a higher number for max power or topspeed
@@wolforla well not as fast in terms of top speed. An Mt09 would smoke a Z900 in any corner and any race up to 100mph. But I and most people don’t care about the 100-180mph performance
@@milkman3797 As usually it will always depend on the driver, not on the bike. id never give my Z900 away for the MT-09. Especially because of that absolutely ugly face of the MT 09 xD And i dont think MT 09 has a better Acceleration since the Z900 got more Nm and one more Cylinder ;) Even when its not that much, it can make the Difference.

What's the difference between HP, PS and BHP?
PS - this stands for pferdestarke in German, which literally translates to horsepower. This is the most commonly used measurement in Europe and is the exact equivalent to horsepower in measurement.
hp is horse power on the wheels like when you put ir on the dyno and tells you how much power the engine send to the wheels
bhp is brake horsepower, i think is the same as h just that the mesurement is straight from the engine, no friction loss from wheels etc

I'm a die hard kawasaki fan, Yamaha kick kawasaki's behind getting an xsr900sp or mt09sp. I guess I going back to Yamaha this round.
Dunlop tires are trash , kawa wont change that.
I think yamaha wins this, for 400 extra you get better tires and also quickshift and cruise control. Its probably worth it only for these reason.

It's really too bad that the yamaha looks uglier than a botched circumcision.
Looks are subjective, most people like it. I think it's not beautiful but has a unique kinda modern muscle bike looks.
The yamaha has a more relaxed upright seating position. But yes i bought the ‘21 z900 because it looked alot better.
@Hidden Dragon it's just a modern ujm. Nothing praiseworthy about it whatsoever. Plain seat. Plain tank. Plain paint scheme. The only thing that sets it apart is the butthole up front that emits light in the darkness.
